Laws and Rules
Harry woke up to Severus' head on his chest and gently moved him so he could get up. Having gone for a run he went back to shower and Severus was still asleep but looked to be waking soon. Harry had his shower and started making breakfast with Kreature. He saw Severus walk into the room rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, still in Harry's shirt. Harry silently handed him a coffee and directed him to a cushion on the floor before taking the seat next to it and dishing them both some food.
"Harry, when will the Weasly's and Granger invade."
"I hope not for a while. I do not want to deal with them... although I suppose I must at some point." Severus looked at him and slightly raised an eyebrow.
"I recently looked at my memories of them and realised they are shitty friends. Granger and her hitting and always being right, Weasel and Weaslette with their jealousy and money grabbing, and Mrs. Weasly with her trying to be my mother and screeching."
Severus looked at Harry critically before slowly releasing some tenseness in his body.
"Severus, if I had known this was stressing you I would have explained. Do you have anything else which you are stressed or anxious about?"
"I am not stressed or anxious, Harry. Will I be allowed to brew?" Harry looked at Severus and nodded. "Good. I have many things to do."
"Give me a list of anything you need which isn't there. The lab is just down the stairs through the door just between the kitchen and dining space" Severus nodded then stood up and left the room.
Harry was practicing fighting when Severus entered the room. Harry whirled around ready to attack before relaxing at seeing it was Severus. Severus looked at him silently before slowly giving him a list of potions ingredients. Harry looked at it and nodded, pocketing the note he went to grab some from his case and called Kreature to get the others.
At lunch Harry brought Severus some sandwiches and watched him brew silently before a question entered his mind.
"Do you know who chose which people would be married? And who actually submitted and put the law through."
"I cannot tell you who put the law through but can ask Lucius. The person who decided who would marry was actually a group, the Order of the Phoenix." Harry sighed.
"Write to Lucius and ask him if he knows please."
Severus nodded and got up, Harry watched him leave the room and thought he should head to Gringotts to see the whole law and any fine print not on the letter.
Reading the whole law Harry could see there was a fine print of consumation of the bond within half a year of the date of bonding, Harry had lost a couple months but would have to mention this to Severus. He did not look forward to that. Reading on Harry saw that Severus was required to sit and ask to talk in the presence of others, he already knew as Severus told him but Harry also found that he should be making rules for Severus and punishing him. Harry would not be having a fun conversation.
Harry brought Severus into the sitting room after dinner a few nights later and showed him a copy of the full bonding law. Severus sighed and rubbed his face, moving closer to Harry subconsciously.
"I suppose you should give me rules then."
"Ah yes, um. Well I guess you need to go to bed before 1am, um, you need to have three meals a day but they can be small, and um... you need to talk to me at least once a day and tell me dorectly any problems." Harry thought that having two rules about selfcare and one that should help their relationship was a good base, they could always add more rules later anyway.
Harry and Severus soon got into habits and seemed to start becoming closer, Harry even invited Lucius over once they were both comfortable which started weekly Friday dinners between the three men. Harry rarely punished Severus but sometimes had to, Harry usually just gave him a light slap on the butt and a time out. Soon however they would need to consumate the bond.
