Note
this one isn’t that good because it was very rushed, but hope you enjoy!!

“Harry mate, you okay?” questioned Ron

Harry’s head shot up, “What? Oh yeah, of course” he replied, but the truth was he wasn’t really okay.

Harry had just felt so… so empty since the war had ended.

It just felt so unreal, and not in that glowy, fantastic sort of way.

It felt as though his heart was being stabbed over, and over again.

Any time he finally thought he was beginning to feel better, the face of someone who’d life had been lost within the war would pop into his head, making him feel overwhelmed with guilt all over again.

Ron sighed, bringing Harry back to reality, and patted him on the back lightly.

“If you ever want to talk,” Ron suggested quietly while standing up from his spot on the couch, his blanket falling on the floor, “I’m here”

Harry looked up at him, “Thanks.”

Ron nodded and walked out of the living room and up to his room (or maybe Hermione’s).

Harry was the only person in the Weasley family living room, considering it was nearing 11:30 pm.

Harry looked back down at his book, staring blankly at the pages without reading.

“Why them?” Harry thought to himself.

“Why not me?” he muttered under his breath.

Harry felt a tear slowly drip from his eye.

He wiped it from his cheek aggressively, but they just kept coming, he found he’d been crying in secret an awful lot lately.

Harry closed his book and put his head in his hands, when he heard a noise behind him.

He immediately shot up, wand in his hand and pointing it at whomever was behind him.

“Harry it’s just me…” Ginny said, “Can you put the wand down please??”

Harry’s hand released the wand, shakily.

“Thank you, Harry,” Ginny whispered.

She walked around from behind the couch to where Harry was, and gently pulled him down with her.

That was when the dam had finally broken.

Harry began sobbing into Ginny’s shoulder, while she would whisper calming words into his ear, stroke his hair, and kiss him on the head.

“Why couldn’t I save everyone, Gin?” Harry hiccuped, looking at her with a tear streaked face, “Why couldn’t I protect them?”

Ginny sighed and kissed him lightly, “But you did Harry. You saved the entire wizarding world. And yes some lives may have been lost along the way,” A tear escaped Ginny's eye at that, “You did so much for us. You’re only human, love.”

Harry wiped the tear off of Ginny’s eye, and kissed her on the top of her head.

Ginny smiled at him, making his heart melt, and spread the blanket that had been long abandoned by Ron over the two of them.

Harry took off his glasses, placed them on the coffee table, and turned off the lamp.

Ginny placed her head in the crook of his neck.

“Thank you Ginny. I love you so much, Ginny,” mumbled Harry, already half asleep.

Harry reckoned Ginny was already asleep when he heard a soft, “I love you too.”
