Lily laughed, bright lights surrounded her tiny toddler body. She reaaallllyyy wanted to see fireworks like what Petunia had told her about from school. The small exploding lights lit up the living room with dazzling colors. Mum and Dad looked at them in wonder, Petunia was in her room, but when she came out, she also saw the display.
I wanna see the world when I stop breathing
“Take Harry and run! Go!” James cried, urging them forward.
Lily grabbed Harry and ran up to the nursery, and slammed the lock shut. Not her Harry, anything but her Harry.
Turning blue
She gasped as water was thrown at her head. “Sev! No fair!” Lily shrieked joyously, sending water right back at him. Peals of laughter echoed through the clearing.
Tell me, love is endless, don’t be so pretentious
“Lily Evans, please be my girlfriend!” Idiot Potter said, standing on a table. Lily stood and waved her wand, casting a spell to change his hair color to pink and another silent one to tie his shoes together.
“No.”

Tears streamed down her face as she ran from Severus. He had called her a mudblood. How could Severus do that? It just wasn’t like him.
If you need me
Lily tapped the clean quill onto the piece of parchment, one hand on her swollen belly. She shook her head and re-read the letter, but shook her head, throwing it in the fire, and she watched it burn. She could never manage to send a letter to Sev.
Wanna see me
Harry looked up at Lily, wet and face red from crying. Her baby boy, finally out into the world. Love filled Lily, she would treasure the sight of her baby boy for as long as she lived.
Better hurry
“You have to go into hiding my dear girl, Voldemort is coming after your family” Dumbledore told Lily, a sad twinkle in his eyes.
‘Cause I’m leaving soon
Lily ran through the forest, chasing some Death Eaters, and fired off curses at them. She knocked a mask off one of them and her eyes widened.
“Sev?”
Severus looked at her, his face the picture of guilt and fear. Lily stood there, the other Death Eaters having escaped. “Go, Severus. Just…...just go.”
Sorry, can’t save me now
“Lily! I’m sorry, I didn’t-”
“Oh so you didn’t mean to call me mudblood several days ago!” She shot back at him, betrayed. “If you didn’t mean it, Why’d you say it !” Her lip trembled and tears welled up. “I thought we were friends Sev, but friends don’t say stuff like that to each other.”
Sorry, I don’t know how
A flower grew from Lily’s palm, its white petals looking delicate.
“Freak!” Petunia cried at her, slapping the flower away and crushing it, and then ran away.
A boy recessed in black came out from behind the tree. “You’re not a freak.” Lily spun around to face him, looking curious. “It’s magic, its perfectly natural. I’m Severus.”
“Lily.”

The door banged open to reveal Voldemort, and Lily felt afraid.
But down, mm down
She dived into the cool waters of the lake, the water surrounding her body like a cool pillow, muffling everything including her own thoughts.
Taste me, the salty tears on my cheek
Lily cried as James kissed her in the alleyway, she didn’t want to, but she had to for the good of the Order. Dumbledore said so, and her heart hurt still from Severus’s betrayal to her, she needed something to distract her.
That’s what a year-long headache does to you

I’m not ok, I feel so scattered
The fire crackled in the fireplace, and the chill of the snowy air leaked inside from the open window. Everything was filled with noise, yet her head was silent. Lily’s mind floated around everywhere like it was in water.
Don’t say I’m all that matters
Lily huffed at those stupid Marauder boys, and turned to Severus. “Are you ok Severus?” She offered her hand to him.
Leave me
“Go away Black, I don’t care.” Black laughed and saddled up beside Lily, starting to say something again.”If you don’t back off I’ll neuter you right here, right now.” Lily’s eyes glowed a dangerous green, and Black backed off.
Deja vu
Lily walked into the meeting room for the Order, and her eyes widened. Severus was at the meeting, he looked skinnier than before, yet still filled out. He looked more handsome then she remembered, and their eyes met. His eyes pierced her own, before looking away at the table.
If you need me
The newly wed Longbottom’s gave hugs all around, laughter filling the reception place. Lily smiled at them, they deserved happiness.
Wanna see me
She looked in the mirror, turning to look at her side view, an anxious look on her face. Was she gaining weight?
You better hurry
Severus laid on the grass next to her. They were silent, but that was alright with Lily, they had the spotted sky to keep them company, so no words were needed.
I’m leaving soon
The white dress hugged Lily’s torso, accentuating her curves. She didn’t know if she really wanted to marry James, she didn’t even think that she actually loved him.
She shook the thoughts from her mind, it was for the greater god, Dumbledore said so.
Sorry, can’t save me now
“Not Harry, please not my Harry!” Lily cried, tears streaming down her face.
“Move you stupid girl!”

Lily pressed a hand against her mouth in fear. She couldn’t help Sev without making it worse.
“Stupid freak boy! What have I told you about using your fucking magic!” His father yelled, words slurring.

She held a finger over her mouth, telling Sev to be quiet. Madam Pince was starting to approach their corner, they couldn’t let her know they were staying overnight with the books so they could create new potions!
But down, mm down
“Avada Kedavra!” Voldemort cried. Lily jumped in front of Harry, screaming. Her body flew through the air faster than she thought possible.
Call my friends and tell them that I love them
Smiling, Lily signed off the letter to Frank, Alice was expecting just like she was and it was such wonderful news.
And I’ll miss them
Wands were lit in the air as they buried bodies of friends, true warriors against the dark. Silent tears slipped down Lily’s cheeks.
But I’m not I’m sorry
One last letter was signed off, left in the official will, just in case. It was to Severus, she had always been unable to stay mad at him, but he had gotten tangled up in the dark, despite now being a spy. Lily didn’t think they were going to last till Christmas, and she left the letter in the vault with the rest of the letters.
Call my friends and tell them, that I love them
Lily found Severus’s journal, and read some of the entries, some making her blush. A smile spread across her face and her stomach fluttered in joy, but she put it back right where she found it, and never said a word.
And I’ll miss them
She pressed a kiss onto Harry’s head, her baby boy, already taking his first steps. She wanted to watch him grow up and grow old.

The spell hit her and her world went black, the last thing she knew was screaming.
