Unexpected meeting
”Hey,” the guy looked up from his laptop and took his headphones off.
”Hey.”
”Would you be down to be part of our TikTok video where we show people pictures of other people and ask questions and shit?”
The guy laughed a little, but then struggled his shoulders. ”I mean, sure why not.”
”Great, what’s your name?”
”Sirius,” he said and offered his hand to the guy who shook it.
”I’m Alex, nice to meet you.”
Sirius smiled and nodded his head. ”You too, so how is this going to go?”
Alex nodded towards his friend who was holding a phone in his hand. ”My friend here Noah is going to film the video and all you have to do is answer my questions.”
”Sounds great,” Sirius said easily. Alex nodded towards his friend and got his own phone out.
”Ready?” Sirius nodded his head and Noah started filming.

”What’s your name?” Was the first question Alex asked as he scrolled through his phone.
”Sirius.”
”What would you rate this… this girl on the scale from one to ten?” On the screen came different pictures of a blond girl where she was either smiling to the camera or posing with her friends. Sirius let out a laugh as he looked through the pictures.
”Okay first of all, that’s one of my best friends, Marlene. And that” he pointed to the screen with his finger, ”Is my top she’s wearing.”
Alex looked to Noah behind the phone.
”And second of all I’m gay, so.. Should have probably mentioned that earlier,” Sirius said and looked sheepishly towards the phone. ”But she’s a ten, even when she steals my clothes.”
Alex’ mouth dropped open and he let out a laugh. ”Oh sorry, my bad. That’s not a problem, let me find you another person.”
The video cut to another moment. ”Okay so what would you rate this guy on the scale from one to ten?” Alex turned the phone screen towards Sirius. This time on the screen came different pictures of a guy with curly brown hair. He wore different patterned sweaters in almost every picture. Immediately Sirius’ face turned red and he glanced quickly towards the filming phone. ”Uhh, I’ve seen him around. Um, really nice looking, nice smile, I like his hair, he looks tall,” Sirius said without looking up from the phone. ”I’d give him a nine.”
”What would make him a ten?”
”I’d like to get to know him, know what he's like before I could tell anything else. It comes down to the personality,” Sirius explained and finally looked up from the photos. His cheeks were still a bit pink as he smiled.
Alex nodded his head and put his phone away, ”Who’s your favourite male celebrity?”
”Matthew McConaughey, he’s so handsome and I love him in How to lose a guy in ten days.”
Alex nodded again as pictures of Matthew McConaughey popped on the screen. ”And lastly, what would you rate yourself on the scale from one to ten?”
Sirius hummed, ”On a good day like eight. I clean off pretty nicely I think,” he smiled widely to the camera. ”But normally, like a six, I guess…”
”Would you like to meet this guy?”
Sirius’ face got red again and his eyes widened. ”I- I mean yeah, sure.”

”What’s your name?” Alex asked, but this time it was the guy he had shown pictures of earlier.
”I’m Remus,” he said, with a low voice.
”What would you rate this guy on the scale from one to ten?” Different pictures of Sirius came on the screen, in one of them he was with many of his friends, more put together and the others were more casual. Remus smiled and looked at Alex. ”I know this guy, Sirius right?”
Alex nodded.
“Yeah he’s very beautiful, love the hair, cool style, seems very vibey you know?” Remus said while nodding his head. “Overall very nice, I’d say nine, because I don’t know him.”
“So what would make him a ten?”
“I’d like to know what he’s like before I give him a better grade. Can’t just hand the ten over, right?”
Alex laughed and nodded his head. “Yeah, yeah. Well who’s your favourite male celebrity?”
Remus chewed on his lip while thinking, ”Oh, Milo Ventimiglia! Love his work, great looking guy.”
”And what would you rate yourself on the scale from one to ten?”
Remus furrowed his brows and let out a laugh. ”Eh, like a five.”
”Really?” Alex asked and looked towards the camera with raised brows. ”I mean my hair is all over the place and overall I look like I just got out of bed, don’t you think?” Remus asked and gestured to his grey sweatpants and brown sweater.
”Would you like to meet this guy?”
”For sure,” Remus said with a smile

The camera followed Remus as he walked past a bookshelf towards a table. Sirius raised his head up from his laptop and his eyes widened as he saw Remus walking up to him.
”Hi, so Alex here told me to tell you a pick up line, but I feel like I’m lame enough without doing it so, hi,” Remus casually said and sat down on the empty seat next to Sirius. ”I’m Remus, nice to meet you,” he offered his hand out to Sirius who took it and shook his hand gently.
”I’m Sirius,” Sirius said and covered his mouth with his other hand. The clip changed and in the next one Alex was standing next to the two of them.
”Would you say your grade changed after meeting each other?” Alex asked. Both of them looked at each other and Remus hummed with a hint of a smile.
”I haven’t found out yet.”
Sirius let out a small noise in the back of his throat and ran a hand through his hair. ”Um- I- I think mine did yeah.”
”To better or-”
”Better, definitely,” Sirius said, interrupting Alex who smiled widely and raised his eyebrows while looking at the camera.
”Would you guys exchange phone numbers?”
Immediately Remus pulled his phone out and nodded his head. ”Yeah, I’d be down.”
Sirius nodded his head too and took the phone from Remus.
