My name is Holly Flint. I am a Slytherin. The other Slytherins in my year are Draco Malfoy, Gregory Goyle, Vincent Crabbe, Blaise Zabini, Pansy Parkinson, Daphne Greengrass, Tracey Davis, Theodore Nott, and Millicent Bulstrode. My older brother is Marcus Flint. He played chaser and was the captain of the Slytherin quidditch team.
Right now, there is a huge battle going on at Hogwarts. I left the Slytherin common room with Draco, Gregory, and Vincent. We got separated. Well, it is more like I left them because I am not a death eater like most of my Slytherin friends. I am going through the seventh-floor corridor. I hear Percy and Fred Weasley talking. I go down the hallway toward them since I know that they are both on the light side.
Percy says, "Hello, Minister! Did I mention I'm resigning?" Fred says, "You're joking, Perce! You actually are joking, Perce...I don't think I heard you joke since you were..." I see a death eater that I recognize is my godfather Pius Thicknesse who has his wand pointed toward the wall behind Fred. I run over and point my wand at my godfather. I yell, "AVADA KEDAVRA!" My godfather falls to the ground and is dead.
Percy and Fred look at me oddly. Fred asks, "What was that for?" I say, "Just because my entire family, my parents' friends, and most of my friends are death eaters doesn't make me one. I might be a Slytherin but trust me I am on the light side." Percy asks, "You are Marcus Flint's little sister, right?" I nod and say, "Yes, Marcus is my big brother. Don't judge me based on that fact." Fred laughs and says, "Thank you for saving my life and probably Percy's life as well." I say, "You are welcome. Now let's get back to killing death eaters."
Percy asks, "What about your family and friends?" I say, "I just murdered my godfather. I am fighting for what is right." Fred asks, "Who was your godfather?" I say, "Pius Thicknesse." Percy says, "Bloody hell, so the person who took over for minister because of the death eater takeover." I nod and say, "Yes. By the way, Weasley you are starting to sound like your little brother that is always with Potter." Fred says, "I think we are on first name basis." I shake his hand and say, "Hello, I am Holly Flint." Fred shakes my hand and says, "Fred Weasley." I shake Percy's hand. Percy laughs and says, "Percy Weasley." I say, "Pleasure to meet you both, Percy and Fred." Fred and Percy each give me a hug.
We finally make it outside. I am in the crowd surrounded by Gryffindors, Ravenclaws, and Hufflepuffs. I see Luna Lovegood looking at me. I say, "Hey, Luna." Luna smiles and says, "Hello, Holly. Nice to see you over here." I give her a hug. Ron Weasley looks over and asks, "Flint, what are you doing over here?" Fred doesn't give me a chance to answer; and, he says, "Ronald, Holly here saved Percy's and my life. She murdered her own godfather with the killing curse to save us." Ron looks surprised and he says, "Sorry I just assumed you were a death eater because you know your family." I say, "It is all good." Ron gives me a hug; and, says, "Thank you so much." I smile as we break apart. I see George Weasley and Ginny Weasley. I say, "Hello, Weasley and Weaslette." George laughs and says, "Call me George." Ginny says, "Call me Ginny." I say, "Well, I insist you call me Holly then." George and Ginny both nod.
I see Draco over on the light side. I smile at Draco, and he smiles back at me. I hear Voldemort say, "Draco, come over here." I see Draco's parents look at him like they were both scared. Draco moves out from the crowd. I look over to him and give him a look that says, "Don't go." Draco gives me a look back saying, "Forgive me." Voldemort gives Draco a hug when he goes over to the death eater side. Voldemort says, "Holly Flint, come join us as well." I say, "I would rather die for the light side than be on your side." My big brother looks at me like he is so proud that I didn't cave.
Voldemort yells, "HARRY POTTER IS DEAD!" The whole light side crowd looks at each other like what now. Neville Longbottom says, "People die every day! Friends, family. Yeah, we lost Harry tonight. But he's still with us. In here. So are Remus and Tonks. All of them. They didn't die in vain, but you will! Because you're wrong! Harry's heart did beat for us. For all of us!" Soon after that I see Harry's body on the ground move without Voldemort realizing his body did move, Harry gets up. Draco throws Harry his wand. Then, Harry and Voldemort start battling it out.
I run with Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood toward the Great Hall. We see Nagini. I say, "I bet this is one of the Horcruxes." I yell at the snake, "AVADA KEDAVRA!" The snake stops moving. I hear the Weasley twins behind me in unison yell, "WICKED!" I laugh.
Less than an hour later, Harry triumphed over Voldemort. All of us make it into the Great Hall. Madam Pomfrey is helping those who need to be healed. I am looking for my betrothed. My parents arranged for me to get married to Gregory Goyle while we were still in diapers. Gregory and I are close obviously but yeah don't know if I am attracted to him at all. Maybe it will come in time.
Fred and Percy walk over to me. Fred says, "Come on meet the parents, Holly." I smile and nod. Fred and Percy walk me over to meet the Weasley patriarch and matriarch. I noticed that the Weasley matriarch looked at my Slytherin uniform and was very confused. Fred speaks up and says, "Mum, before you say anything she saved my life. This is Holly Flint. If it wasn't for her a wall would have fallen on top of Percy and me." The Weasley patriarch says, "Arthur Weasley. Thank you so much." I say, "No thank you and your family for fighting for the light. I cannot say that for the rest of my family. You all fought for what was right." The Weasley matriarch says, "Molly Weasley. Thank you." I nod.
I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see Draco and Vincent. Vincent looks very upset. So, I ask, "Where is Gregory?" Draco speaks up and says, "Holly, he didn't make it."I ask, "What happened?" Vincent says, "He started a fire in the Room of Requirement to destroy Ravenclaw's Diadem one of the horcruxes." Draco says, "Ron and Harry were in there with us. They could only save Vincent and myself. Gregory got caught behind a pile of stuff and couldn't come through." I tear up. Vincent says, "I know you two have been betrothed for like ever. But he would want you to be happy. He loved you so much." I smile and nod.
Fred overhears our conversation so he asks, "Who were you betrothed to?" I say, "Gregory Goyle." Ron mutters, "Bloody hell." I say, "It was arranged when Gregory and I were babies. We grew very fond of each other. In arranged marriages, there isn't much choice. I guess now my parents will arrange for me to marry someone else."
I feel another tap on my shoulder. I turn around and see my big brother. I embrace him into a hug and yell, "MARCUS!" Marcus laughs and yells back, "HOLLY!" Once we break apart, I ask, "Where are Mother and Father?" Marcus sighs and says, "They didn't make it." I say, "Bloody hell. Gregory didn't make it either." Marcus says, "Look I know that Mother and Father would have wanted me to arrange another marriage for you but I am not going to do that. You deserve to be happy." I smile and say, "You do as well, Marcus." Marcus smiles. I see him looking at Adrian Pucey. I whisper, "Get your man." Marcus blushes and nods.
I watch as Marcus walks over to Adrian; and, they share an intimate kiss. I hear Adrian ask, "What?" Marcus says, "My parents are gone. I can be with the one person I want to be with. " Adrian kisses Marcus again. I see Percy smile.
Fred asks, "Holly, did you know your brother is gay?" I say, "Sure did. From the looks of it, Percy did as well." Percy says, "Guilty. Caught them in a corridor when I was prefect. Didn't turn them in." I say, "Thank you. You saved him from the torture curse from our parents." Molly asks, "Your parents did that to the both of you?" I say, "Yes ma'am they did. More so with Marcus but I was never really the one to cause trouble."
I see Harry. I walk over to him and say, "Thank you so much, Potter." Harry laughs and says, "Holly, we are on a first name basis." I give him a hug. After we break apart, I ask, "Have you seen Professor Snape?" Hermione overhears and says, "Holly, he died. Nagini murdered him." I say, "I am glad I murdered that wretched snake." Ron asks, "That was you?" Fred says, "We" George says, "Saw" Fred says, "It" George says, "Was" In unison they say, "Wicked." Neville says, "She nailed that killing curse." Luna nods in agreement. Harry says, "The snake was a horcrux. Thank you for aiding." I say, "You helped so much more than me. I just wanted to do the right thing for the light."
Harry says, "Sorry that Ron and I couldn't save Goyle. We know how close you two were." I say, "Gregory and I were betrothed since birth. We didn't get a choice. Yes, we grew fond of each other. At least I know he died fighting for the right side. Draco said that he started a fire and destroyed the Ravenclaw horcrux." Harry asks, "Will your parents arrange for you to marry someone else?" I say, "My big brother said that they didn't survive. We are both free to love whom we choose. Marcus is not going to arrange for me another marriage."
Marcus and Adrian walk over holding hands. I hug Adrian and say, "About time." Adrian laughs and says, "Sure is, Hols." Marcus says, "Adrian here says you had a crush on a guy in his year for like forever." I blush and say, "Yes I have but I don't think he will think of me in that way." Marcus smirks and says, "Go for it."
I walk over to Fred Weasley; and, give him a kiss. Fred kisses me back. We break apart. Fred asks, "What was that for?" I say, "Confession I have had a crush on you since I was a first year. Didn't think it was possible. I just had to do it once." Fred smiles and kisses me back. Marcus asks, "A Gryffindor?" I nod and Adrian giggles. Marcus says, "I just assummed that it was a Slytherin." I say, "No of course not, Marcus." Adrian says, "I have known since she was in her first year she was always staring at Fred." I play punch Adrian's arm and Fred laughs. Marcus says, "If you hurt my little sister, I have no problems going to Azkaban." Fred says, "I would never hurt Holly, Marcus. I have a little sister so I understand how protective brothers can be." Marcus nods.
19 years later
Fred and I are dropping off our daughter, Ivy, at Platform 9 and 3/4 for the first time. Our other children-Georgina, Arthur, Dora, and Regina-are already on the train. Georgina is our oldest and she is going to start her seventh year this year. Georgina has red hair and dark brown eyes not Fred's lighter brown eyes. She is in Gryffindor; and she is head girl this year alongside Harry's godson Teddy, a Hufflepuff. Arthur is about to start his fifth year; and he is in Slytherin. He has my dark brown hair and my dark brown eyes both of which are Flint family traits. He is on the Slytherin quidditch team alongside his twin sister, Dora. They both are beaters. Dora has my dark brown hair and Fred's light brown eyes. Regina is in her third year; and she is in Gryffindor. Regina is literally the female clone of Fred looks wise. She has the Weasley red hair and the Weasley light brown eyes. She is a troublemaker alongside Harry's and Ginny's son, James. Ivy, our youngest, has red hair and dark brown eyes. She also has freckles all over the place like her Uncle Ron. She acts different than our other four children.
I see Harry and Ginny with their godson (Teddy) and their kids (James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna); and, I wave at them. I turn to see Ron and Hermione with their children (Rose and Hugo); Ron waves and I wave back. Albus and Rose are the same age as Ivy.
Ivy asks, "Does it matter what house I am sorted into?" I say, "Ivy, your dad's side of the family is all Gryffindors while mine were all Slytherins. I speak for myself to say I don't care what house you are sorted into. I just want you to be happy." Fred says, "I agree with your mum. I mean like out of the blue this beautiful Slytherin girl saved my life..." Ivy interrupts and says, "Not this again." I see Percy, Penelope, and their children (Molly and Lucy). Molly and Lucy are both in Ravenclaw. Molly is the same age as Georgina. Lucy is the same age as Arthur and Dora. Percy walks over and asks, "The Hogwarts Battle story again?" I say, "Yes of course." Ivy hops onto the train. Marcus and Adrian walk over.
Marcus walks over and asks, "What house do you think, baby sister?" I say, "Hufflepuff." Fred asks, "Why?" I say, "I was almost sorted into Hufflepuff knew I would be disowned. I persuaded the hat to put me into Slytherin." Adrian laughs and says, "That was a very Slytherin thing to do, Holly." I yell, "Shut up, Adrian." Fred says, "Being married to Holly all of these years, I never knew this." I say, "You never asked about my sorting hat experience." Fred nods and says, "The sorting hat almost sorted me into Slytherin." I laugh and say, "I could see that actually." George overhears and says, "Same with me." I see George's wife, Angelina, with their twin children (Fred and Roxanne). I wave to Angelina, my nephew, and my niece. Fred and Roxanne are the beaters for the Gryffindor quidditch team that are the same age as Arthur, Dora, and Lucy.
I see Marcus's and Adrian's twin sons (Severus and Gregory), Albus, Rose, Fred's and my daughter waving through the window. We wave at them. I ask, "What house for Severus and Gregory?" Marcus says, "Definitely Slytherin." I laugh and say, "Yes of course."
