Homesickness
It was the first night back at Spinners End for Severus. He was alone at home with Harper. Everyone else was out doing whatever. And Severus was, Severus was crying.
He always missed the school while home, even with the bad parts. But, now that he had a boyfriend, it was worse. So much worse. He wanted Remus so badly.
But, he couldn't have him.
Severus checked the clock. 3:42. He'd been at this since 12:30. He wasn't going to sleep.
Severus ducked his head into his pillow at another strong wave of sadness.
He needed Remus.
Not for three months.
He couldn't do it.
No. No. No.
Remus.
He could read.
Severus grabbed the book of his floor. He could read.
And he did read. Kind of. Except when he was sobbing.
But, he read, until 4:52. Then he passed out. Fell asleep whatever.
He was down.
It was fine.
