"I love you just the way you are."
Remus walked into the ROR to find his boyfriend curled up crying.
Rushing over Remus said "Seva, what happened? What's wrong? What can I do?".
Instead of responding the short boy simply made grabby arms. Seeing this, Remus, gently picked him up. And sat down laying him across his lap.
"What's wrong?"
"They found out."
"Who found out? And what did they find out?"
"My parents. They found out I'm gay, and trans."
"Oh, no. How did they find out?"
"I don't know. I just got a letter from them though."
"What did it say?"
"They-They-They said I was a d-disgrace. And that they didn't love me anymore. And st-tufff like that."
"Sev, that isn't true. You are not a disgrace. They are. You are wonderful, and beautiful, and intelligent. And so many other things, don't listen to a word they say."
"B-But their my parents, so it must be true."
"A) It is not true. B) They are not your parents. They forfeited that the second they chose to not only not accept you, but also insult you. I am your boyfriend, I know you. I love you. You are not a disgrace, you have never been. You are perfect how you are. You do not have to change anything about yourself to deserve love. I love you just the way you are."
Severus started crying harder and buried his face into Remus's legs.
He couldn't say he was happy. But, he was better.
