How they first 'met'
It was September 1st and also the first day of fifth year. Severus had just arrived at the platform and was walking to the train when he noticed a boy. It was Remus Lupin, he could tell that much, but he looked a lot different from previous years. Puberty seemed to have decided to use him as a baseball because he was hit hard. The March born boy had grown taller, and was probably about six feet now. His features had matured and he lost the baby face from previous years. He also seemed more muscled. Not crazily so, he would probably always have that same stick figure, but he had definitely been taking good care of himself.
Severus found himself staring for a few minutes before he snapped out of it. What was wrong with him? Sure Remus looked good, but it wasn't that big of deal. He wasn't even that attractive. And-Severus once again pulled his eyes from the boy realizing he was staring again. Gods help him.
Suddenly Remus was in front of him and Severus was sure he would explode before he got a word out. There was no way he could hide these feelings, but he couldn't voice them either.
"Hi. Severus, I think your name is. I never really learned it well, which isn't really fair. Anyway I noticed you staring, I know we don't have the best relationship which I'm very sorry about. But, maybe we can start again? I really do feel bad about our past years. And want to correct the poor decisions I have made before. Are you okay?"
No. No he was not okay. Severus was more glad to be trans then he had ever been before, because if he was a cis boy then Remus would have discovered his feelings long before.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Just surprised. Yeah, I would like to start over." Severus managed to force out. Gods he couldn't have a crush on the boy, not already.
"Oh, I'm so glad. I have to go now, I promised Alice I would sit with her on the train. But, maybe we can hang out on Saturday?"
Yeah, that sounds nice."
"Okay, bye!"
"Bye."
Remus walked away and Severus wasn't sure if he should be sad or relieved. Dear Hades what was wrong with him? He needed to find his friends.
