My love is worth so much more then how you look.
Remus was well nervous, scared, worried and about a thousand other emotions that were all twisted together into a big mess of nothing and everything at the same time. Like when your young in art class and don't know any better so mix all the colors in the rainbow expecting something pretty but just getting brown.
You see, it all started about a week ago. He and Severus had been hanging out when he accidentally touched the slightly older boys chest. It was very quickly and he hadn't meant to, which Severus knew but he still freaked out a bit. Then for the following week the ravenette had avoided his boyfriend like the plague, until today when they had finally met up again in the room of requirement. This was a pretty common occurrence for them, however today was different from usual. It had been quiet the whole time and any time Severus even looked in Remus's direction he was quick to avert his eyes once the brunette noticed. This had been going on for about an hour and a half before the younger by a 2 months teen finally snapped."
"Sev, please, what did I do. If this is about me touching you I am sorry, I never even meant to. Please, forgive me. I can't stand this anymore."
"Oh, oh, I'm sorry Remus, this isn't your fault. I'm not mad, I'm sorry. I was just scared. I'm sorry, you know I would never purposely hurt you. Don't you?"
"Of course I know that, but why were you scared."
"Well, um, you touched my chest, and um, I didn't want you to find out I was ... lying to you."
"Lying, about what?"
"Well, I'm a boy, right?"
"Of course."
"But, I um don't have what people normally think boys have."
"What? I don't understand."
"Well, when you, and most boys, were born everyone knew they were boys from the start."
"Right."
"But, for me that's not how it was."
"Oh."
"They um, they thought I was a girl. But I'm not!"
"Of course, your not. And you were never lying to me about it either."
"I, wasn't? I mean I knew I wasn't, but you don't think I am either."
"Of course not. Your body doesn't define who you are. I know some people don't agree with that sentiment, but I am not like them."
"Sev, look at me." Severus complied.
"It doesn't matter to me what people used to think of you, what they think of you now, or how they think of you in the future. All that matters to me is who you are. And the only person who can define who you are is you. So, if you say that you are a boy I will believe you and treat you as such until the day I die. Understand?"
Severus simply nodded to overwhelmed with emotions to speak anything coherent, if at all. But that was enough for Remus.
"Good."
