[2] //Tom M. Riddle\\
After I learned of the diary’s demise, I began to worry for my other Horcruxes. I set aside an uninterrupted day in order to enter my mindscape, to check on my horcruxes by the mental ties that bind my soul pieces together..
7 doors are beside each other, an emblem emblazoned on each one to signify what they are.
The one with a book is burnt and faded, but the diadem, cup, locket, ring, lightning and snake emblems are glowing.
Wait-
Lightning? When did that appear?
I recount the doors.
One, two, three, four, five, six- and seven.
How? I never created a horcrux after the diadem, until Nagini.
I had prepared the ritual for one of the Potter’s deaths, but I never got to enact it...
Hmm...
So the ritual must have been activated preemptively, but where did the soul reside?
I open the door, and strut inside, looking through my horcruxes eyes.
I see round black frames at the edges of blurry vision, raven black hair, and a dank... boot cupboard?
A shard of glass catches my eye, flashing in the dim light, and I see emerald green eyes staring back at a lightning-scarred forehead.
Potter!?
He gets up, and grabs a keyring before heading into what appears to be a garage.
A metal locker is opened with the twist of a key, and guns gleam inside.
He reaches for a handgun with a mangled arm, no clear flesh being visible.
His thoughts flash through my head:
Happiness. Relief. Freedom. DEATH.
NO. He is my soul, I won’t let him die! I won’t let him yearn for the cold grasp of death when he could be alive and enjoying the joys life can offer!
I exit my mind, and spin on my heel as I apparate instinctually, focusing on the bond linking ourselves. I appear on the stoop of a boorishly plain muggle house, and rush to the garage.
§NO!§
I summon the gun and it hits the wall behind me.
BANG.
The rage eclipses his mind instantly.
§WHY!? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME!§ His voice cracks.
§Why... How DARE you take this away? I was going to be free!§
I embrace him, pinning his arms to his side
§Shhh, mi alma...§
§Why...§ The tears run down his face.
