Chapter 26
Today you and Scorpius were baking cookies
"Will dad be home soon?" Scorpius asks and you shrug
"I don't know he hasn't messaged me saying he's on his way yet." You say and Scorpius nods
"I hate when dad works late." Scorpius says and you nod as you kiss his forehead
"I do as well, but sometimes he has to ok?" You say and Scorpius nods
'I just wish dad wasn't so overworked sometimes, I hate his job he should just quit.' Scorpius thinks and you smile at him as you continue to decorate one of the batches of cookies
Right then Draco apparates home which he rarely does
"Sorry for popping in, I just had to get away from Samantha so I hid then apparated home, anyways what smells so good? Well besides me." Draco says and you roll your eyes
"We made cookies." You say and Draco smiles and walks over and takes one of the decorated ones and eats it
"Did Thea help? Or did Scorpius get his mom's artistic skills?" Draco says and you gasp
"I am great at art you on the other hand not so much." You say and Draco laughs
"I'm perfect." Draco says and you roll your eyes
"Yeah whatever."
"You love how I'm so perfect don't you." Draco says and you chuckle
"No I just love you that's all." You say as Draco pulls you into a kiss as scorpius pretends to throw up like you and Draco kissing are the most disgusting thing ever
"I need to take a shower I'll be out soon, talk to you later little buddy." Draco says and Scorpius nods as he mixes the cookie dough
You smile at Scorpius you sometimes can't really fathom how old he is, like you and Draco have gone through so much and done stuff you'll never tell your kids ever, and you both hope your kids never find out 'I wish Draco didn't have to overwork so much, I could go back into what I did as Scorpius was a baby but we decided we wouldn't do that when our kids were older, I just wish Dracos boss wasn't so hard on him.'
