Chapter 25
A few months passed and you and James took fawn out for the first time, since the court case with Lucius
You and James try and keep her out of the public eye since she's just a baby
And of course immediately people were wanting to see fawn or wanted to talk to James
"Sorry but we can't talk we're busy." James says pulling you with him and walks off
You take fawn from him as she was crying from the bright lights in her face
You and James just try and have a peaceful day out
But anyone from James's work sees him they ask him a million questions
Or even random people want to talk to him about his work
Which he's trying to help pass muggleborn safety laws to make sure muggle-borns are more safe in the wizarding world, because well merlin knows because of voldemort they aren't
James sighs and you look over
"What is it?" You ask and James looks over
"Just did you know people have been dumping their children? Since there are not many places people can leave their children, if you don't count muggle orphanages, but since we don't have anything like that people just dump their babies in Diagon alley now." James says and you look at him with wide eyes
Even though you were forced to have a baby with Lucius, you still love fawn so much and would never dump her anywhere
"That's horrible." You say and James nods
"Yeah, people don't wanna use muggle orphanages so they just leave them somewhere populated so they'll find the baby." And I'm one of the people working on fixing this issue." James says and you nod as you hold fawn close to you "I'm sorry I just needed to vent about work since people were asking me earlier about it." James says and you nod
"I get some people have been trying to hid their babies so if they die from death eaters their child will still live, but I didn't know it was getting so bad they just left them somewhere so unsafe." You say and James nods
"Yeah, and if I could I'd take them all in but we can't were too busy." James says and you nod it was sad but true, James is at work and your too busy taking care of fawn
You can't take care of like four more babies alone
'I love fawn so much, even if I don't love her birth father and will always hate my ex fiancée I'll always love my daughter and never leave her.'
