Chapter 8
Hermione's POV
"Truth or dare, Weasley." Malfoy Sr. said.
"Dare. I'm not a chicken."
"Alright then. Serpentine, help me." Mr Malfoy said. A grin appeared on his face.
Ginny immediately paled. "Shit."
Serpentine whispered something to Maloy's ear before going back to his seat.
"I dare you to eat a spoon full of mustard." Malfoy said as he smirked.
"Why? Of all the things, why mustard? You know mustard is my least favorite food."
While Ginny was raving on how disgusted she was, I saw Serpentine order Misty to bring the mustard and a spoon.
"I can't do this. I can't." Ginny finally notices the spoon of mustard in front of her. "I am going to be sick for a week after this."
"A dare is a dare, Weaslette," Draco chimed in.
"Come on, Ginny. Mustard isn't that bad," I tried to console her but know that my excitement is shown through my eyes. I couldn't help it. Ginny's reaction to mustard was and still is pretty funny.
"Ugh. I hate all of you," Ginny groaned before placing the spoon in her mouth and swallowing the mustard. Her face turned green as she dashed to the bathroom and started pucking. We all started laughing.
"Whoever this bottle is going to land on is going to regret laughing at me?" She yelled as she spun the bottle really hard and it landed on me.
"Truth or dare, Granger," Weaslette yelled.
"Truth. And Ginny, I'm sorry okay. I didn't mean to laugh at you."
"Fine then. What were you and that slut that is the dark lord's son talking about when you kicked Ron and I out a week before school finished?" Ginny asked.
I took a deep breath to calm myself before answering. "I wanted to apologize to him. I realized that I had made a huge mistake in betraying the trust of the person who was a true friend to me. I told him about what was going on and for him to go to Gringotts when he had time. Also don't call him a slut. He is a person, not a mirror."
Everyone, except Serpentine and the twins, were shocked at what I just said.
"You-you would turn your back on us. AFTER EVERYTHING THAT WE HAVE DONE FOR YOU, YOU WOULD BETRAY US?! ALL THOSE BOOKS AND MONEY THAT WE GAVE TO YOU AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY US." Ginerva screeched.
"I was sick and tired of everything. Those books and money were never rightfully ours in the first place. I returned what I could and plan on repaying the rest. And yes I turned my back on you guys. You were a bitch who always complains and Ronald is a whining prat with a superiority complex who both work for a clearly senile old man. Serpentine should NOT be treated a weapon OR a ticket to fame and wealth," I yelled back.
Ginny got up and was about to slap me but Serpentine stunned her before she could.
"Thanks for that," I said as I smiled at him.
"Your welcome," Serpentine answered. "Nice acting earlier. And I told you that you don't need to repay back all that money."
"I know. But I –" I started but he cut in.
"I have plenty of money so there is no need for you to repay me."
"Fine," I sighed giving in.
