The room where it happened
"OH, EVANS!"
A woman in her early 20s shouted, she had wavy black hair that faded to brown at the end tips that complimented with her hazel eyes. Beside her was the father of her two daughters, a man with straight black hair that matched his void-like eyes, he was wearing a pair of glasses that helped him see clearly.
On the other side of the door was the woman's redhead friend, Lily Ev--Potter. "Antoinette!... Nicholas! I'm glad you guys made it-- come in!"
Lily was a bit chubbier than typical women but she was certainly beautiful even so, no wonder 'the' James Potter, one of the five marauders of Hogwarts married her.
Nicholas chuckled as he rubbed his arms "Antoinette finally agreed to let the girls be with their uncle alone."
"I told him it was a bad idea! Sirius, with kids?" Antoinette rolled her eyes and dramatically sighed as both her companions laughed at the woman's actions.
"That'd be scary... How did they make you agree Tony?"
A man with hazel eyes and round glasses appeared, draping his arms around Lily's shoulders as his face held a teasing smirk as he stared at the short-haired female that he considered one of his best pals.
"James, what are you doing here? Where's Harry?!" Lily looked at her husband, the said man only smirked at his beautiful wife. "Don't worry love, the little seeker is sleeping and I placed a silencing spell so he won't wake up if we make a noise. Now, back to you Tony."
"Well, Emmeline would be there to babysit the three of them." They all laugh as they settle down in the small glass table placed in the Potters' backyard.
Lily served tea as they joke about their time in Hogwarts as students, completely forgetting about their current situation and how there's a powerful dark wizard hot on their tails.
They talked as if there was no tomorrow.
Too absorbed into their conversations. They failed to notice the humanoid yet snake-like figure lurking in the bushes, quietly observing like a predator, waiting to attack its preys. It tightly held its wand and moved sneakily around the background.
Antoinette finally sensed its presence, her right hand ready to grip her wand inside her pocket any moment when suddenly she couldn't move.
That was the start of the chaos...
Three lifeless bodies lay in front of the porch as a woman's cries of sorrow2 could be heard inside the house. One of their Muggle neighbours notice the loud noises coming from the Potter's house, does she need to call the police? Should she even be involved with it? It might just be a small argument between the couple. She shrugged, closing the blinds and doing her normal daily routine as usual.
"Not Harry." She wailed and went in front of her son to protect him from the intruder, crystal tears already falling from her eyes to her rosy cheeks.
"Stand aside silly girl... Stand aside now."
"NO!" She screamed making the poor child behind her cry. "Not Harry, please no, take me, kill me instead─" Not Harry! Please ... have mercy ... have mercy..." she pleaded and pleaded but much to anyone's dismay, there was no change in the intruder's intentions. The man pointed his wand at the woman and gave a shrilled and high-pitched laugh before ending the woman's life.
In a far manor, a one-year-old girl started crying with her eyes glowing a vibrant colour of green, the baby's wails were so loud that they woke up Emmeline from the other room. She quickly stood up and ran towards the twin's separate room.
"Oh no," She grabbed the girl from its crib and cradled the crying baby in her arms. "Don't cry-- which twin are you again-- Clover! Don't cry, Clover. Don't cry."
She straddled and sang lullabies for the wailing baby, but to her demise, the kid just continued to cry louder which ended up waking her twin sister, making the trouble double for Emmeline. She was only supposed to supervise Sirius and yet she ended up being the only one taking care of the two kids while Sirius is partying somewhere, the kids are not that bad but it's this kind of situation that makes her...stressed.
Not caring about the stains it'll give her clothes, she cradles both the sobbing babies, if anyone was ever to see her in this situation, it would probably be very embarrassing on her side. She cradles them and tries to think of any way to make the two babies sleep. That's when she remembered that one lullaby;
"Wh-what was the lyrics again?! Oh!
Too Ra Loo Ra loo Ral
Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ri
Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ral
Hush now, don't you cry.
Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ral
Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ri
Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ral
That's an Irish lullaby."
A silhouette suddenly pops up in the middle of the room, shocking Emmeline to almost dropping the two --now peacefully sleeping-- babies. The silhouette was none other than,
"Dumbledore!"
