Chapter 10
The next day Etta woke up to giggling. She opened her eyes to see Luna upside down.
"You're upside down. Isn't that uncomfortable?"Etta asked her.
"Actually you are the one who is upside down." Half of Etta's body was off the bed, her head hanging downward. Etta sat up much to fast giving her a dizzy feeling due to the blood rushing back down inside her head. Etta looked around the room she didn't see much of last night for she had been very exhausted and crashed into bed right away, not bothering to change into her night clothes.
The room had royal blue walls and covered in stars. The stars glowed in the night. There were two grey marble like wardrobes and a bathroom. It seemed that Luna and she were the only two room first years as the others were three student rooms. The beds were more comfortable than the mattress she had slept on at the Dursley's and the covers were a pretty blue.
"Etta let's get ready I am hungry. Aren't you?" Luna said. Etta nodded and readied herself in her new navy blue Ravenclaw uniform. Luna helped her pull her hair into a high ponytail and a shiny blue ribbon. "There all done. You look very pretty."
Luna and Etta walked down to the great hall. Luna led her to Ravenclaw table and sat down. Luna grabbed her a plate and placed some fruits on the plate.
"Fruits first then something sweet." Luna said smiling. Etta nodded. She ate all her fruits and felt full already. The screeching of owls came and she had seen Nyx. She didn't carry anything but pecked at the bacon on the table. A moment later a cawing sound came and sat on her shoulder. She turned to see a raven. The raven had an envelope in its beak. Etta held her hand out for the letter and gave the bird some bacon as well. It snatched it, rubbed it's black head on her cheek and flew off. Opening the letter she found it had come from Nico.
Dearest Red,
I suppose little bird is much better now. Congratulations on making it into Ravenclaw. I would have thought Slytherin with your parsel ability but I suppose you covet knowledge more the ambition. Slytherin is where I would have ended up if I had gone to Hogwarts but alas I was home tutored. I do so hope you make friends. Though you may not be able to write back we will see each other again little bird, until then keep safe and don't get into trouble.

"Who is that from Etta?" Luna asked. Etta handed her the letter. Luna smiled and handed it back. "Well isn't he sweet. Mama sent me a box of chocolate would you like some?" She held a beautifully crafted red box that came with a silver ribbon. Etta took one. She took a bite and found a creamy center, it was delicious but way to sweet for her tounge.
"Thank you but they are really sweet." Luna pulled out a pink and gold writing quill and a piece of parchment. "What is that for?" Etta asked.
"Oh this, I am making a list of things you like and dislike. Number 1 very sweet chocolate. Maybe less sweet and a little more bitter." Luna smiled as she wrote her list. They had finished breakfast when a prefect handed out class schedules for the first years. Mostly Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw together except for defense which they had with Slytherin. "Should you and I explore the castle?" Luna asked her finishing the last strawberry on her plate. Etta nodded and folded her schedule placing it into her skirt pockets. They both got up and walked down the stairs.
"I believe this is where the Slytherin reside. Don't you think Luna." Etta looked at the girl. A moment later she heard footsteps.
"Well"
"Well"
"Well. What have we here? Not one but two little birdies in the dungeons." Etta and Luna turned to find two identical red heads and a girl with vibrant pink hair. The girl smiled mischievously and the two identical boys giggled at her.
"Looky here Gred we have dearest little Harry Potter in our midsts." One boy said. The other boy nodded.
"Yes yes dear Forge I see that whatcha think Tonks. Two little firsties look like they got lost. Did you get lost my dears?" One of the red haired twins asked.
"No. Luna and I were exploring from the ground up. Maybe you three can show us?" Etta asked politely.
"Awww what a cute little blue bird I just want to stick you in my pocket and keep you forever." The pink haired girl squealed as she smashed Etta's face into her chest. "What do you think boys should we give them the grand tour?" The boys nodded and grabbed Luna by both arms and pulled her. "On with the tour." Tonks said pointing straight.
" I am Harrietta Potter but you may call me Etta. And that is Luna Lovegood. She and I are roommates and will be best friends."
" Well I am Nymphadora Tonks but call me Tonks I hate Nymphadora. And those two trouble makers are Fred and George Weasley. They are Gryffindor and I am a Hufflepuff. It seems all we need now is a Slytherin and we will be complete." Tonks pulled open a door. "This my dear little birdies is an empty room. There are many empty rooms that were once class rooms. We'll-" Tonks stopped. The twins went to take a look.
"Well looking here Forge. Do you see what I see?"
"Yes I do Gred. If it isn't perfect prefect Percy and his pretty Ravenclaw girlfriend Penelope. Hello Penny, Percy. We were just showing these lovely little birds around." Etta peeked around to find Penelope fixing her skirts down. Penelope seen her and rushed out of the room. "Bye Penny!" He called after her. Tonks and the twins chuckled.
Another red haired boy came out of the room after her. "Really mature Fred, George. Tonks I don't understand why you follow these trouble makers. And now bringing two little first years into it, you should both be ashamed of yourselves and don't think I am not telling mother how you're being disruptive on the first day."
"Oh Percy don't you know how much fun it is hanging with these two, so much fun. And besides we were being helpful by showing the two little birdies around. Isn't that right little birdies?" Etta and Luna nod.
"They were being very helpful." Etta spoke to him. Tonks squished her yet again after that.
"You are just the sweetest thing little bird. Now there are more places to go. Twin's lead the way." She pointed straight.
"Oh yes Queen Tonks." They replied. The tour didn't last much longer. There were many vacant rooms that were used for studying and they were showed the kitchens and introduced to the house elves. She thanked them for their service and told them the food was good. They blushed and fret that she needed to eat more. They said goodbye and were showed the Gryffindor common rooms. The rooms were to bright for Etta's eyes and she had to squint. Too much red all over the place, red and gold. These were the rooms her mother had pent her seven years in. There was no feeling as she walked through the Gryffindor common room.
"Etta is everything okay?" Luna asked, touching her shoulder. Etta nodded.
"Hey Harry. It's so cool you're here." Ronald Weasley said coming up to her. "Can I see the scar?" He put his hand out to touch her face when some of her magic stopped him. " What the hell! I'm bleeding." Ron held his hand out that was cut.
"You should know better than to touch a girl when she doesn't want to be touched little brother." One of the twins stated.
"Yeah you should go to the healer. Get that all healed up." The other twin said.
"I didn't mean to hurt him. I don't think my magic likes him all that much." Etta said turning to the twins.
"Poor Ron was all excited to meet the 'Harry Potter'. He must be so disappointed." Tonks said. She fell back into a chair and grabbed her stomach as she laughed crazily. Luna smiled at her, liking the way her hair changed by the second. She was glad to make new friends and was sure Etta was too though she would not know it for years to come.
