The beginning of a new life pt.1

Harry walked down the street for a couple minutes before stopping and putting his right hand out. It was just a few seconds later when the knight bus arrived. Stan stepped off and began his normal speech before noticing who was standing there.

"Harry Potter, is that you? Whose baby is that?"

Harry ignored him ignored him instead pushing a galleon into his hand. Then said "Keep the change, I want to go to the leaky cauldron, and please bring my luggage in." Stan nodded confused and not wanting to wast more time Harry walked onto the bus and took the first available seat.

Once the bus started moving and Harry's trunk was safely under his feet, Harry began to think to himself.

'Okay first things first was Gringotts, were he could get things like adoption and buying a house taken care of. Now today was Thursday meaning that he had today to figure everything out then, assuming he wanted to began actually living on Monday, three days to buy everything and get settled. For now however he would need to focus on naming his new son.'

Harry looked down on the sleeping infant and tried to figure out what would be best. A common name, or something rare? What letter should it start with, and how long should it be? Should he change his last name? What about middle names?

'Well when it comes to last names it would probably be safer to change it. He would probably change it to Evans. It was his mothers maiden name, of course, but it was also a pretty common name, and a muggle name at that so it could definitely help matters. Yes, Evans seemed nice. Now what about a first name? He had never really thought of names for his kid(s) so he was kind of working on his own. Hmm, what about Cosmos it honored his godfathers family tradition for space names but it also honored his mothers side as a Cosmos was actually a type of flower. Yes, he did really like that name, but it felt more like a middle name. Well it would serve that matter then. But, he did still need a first name.'

"Are you alright, dear?" Harry heard startling him from his thoughts.

Looking up Harry saw an old lady who was sitting alone on the seat across from his.

Sighing Harry replied honestly.

"Not really. Everything has been kind of falling apart for the past couple of hours, and I was already going through somethings before that. Now I have to figure out what to name my, soon to be adopted, son. I already have his middle and last name but I haven't been able to figure out what first name to give him."

She looked sympathetic and sad as if she was remembering her own past sorrows.

"Well, it's just a suggestion, and of course you don't have to go with it but I do have a name suggestion. You see, I've always wanted a kid but never got the chance and there's one name I've always loved: Alexi."

Harry thought for a minute, Alexi. Alexi Cosmos Evans. He loved it.

Looking back at the woman he said "That's a beautiful name, thank you so much for the suggestion."

"Your welcome, dear. Just out of curiosity are you going to go with the name?"

"Yes" Harry said resolutely "I think I am."

"Speaking of names, I'm Ali, what's your name?"

Harry thought for a second. 'He had never really liked his name and after learning of his fame he had just disliked it more. There was one name he had thought of when he was eight. But should he tell her it? Should he actually change his name to it.'

Deciding what to do Harry breathed in and said "My name is Felix."

"Oh, what a wonderful name."

"Thank you" Felix said.

He wasn't entirely sure how to continue the conversation but was thankfully saved a few seconds later when the women got off.

Felix spent the rest of the trip watching Alexi sleep until he was finally brought back to reality by Stan's call.

"All off for the Leaky Cauldron!"

Grabbing his stuff, and his son, Harry walked off the bus and prepared himself for his new life.
