As someone who never admitted defeat, the look Weasley threw the two of them as they entered the hall at Hogwarts, 15 years after they had all gone to school for the last time, bordered on contempt and indignation.
How dare he parade Hermione like she was a muse and deserved to be admired, after choosing him?
Ronald voiced the thought drawing inquisitive glances.
"You will speak with more respect to Mrs. Malfoy, Weasley!"
Draco spoke in a tone that said that wasn't a request.
Red as his hair after noticing that he had made a scene for the other wizards present, Ron almost shrugged his shoulders but maintained his posture of pride.
The Mrs Malfoy in question, glanced at her husband and addressed her old friend...
"It's good to see you too Ron, from what I see nothing has changed for you, isn't it? Too bad, the afternoons with Harry and Ginny aren't the same without the full foursome."
" Well, you destroyed the group when you joined this one, Hermione!"
For a second, both men thought she would respond boldly, but as Minister of Magic, Hermione would never lose her bearings at a party of this height, let alone because of Ron.
"Okay, let's say hello to the others now." looks away poking Draco and ignoring her former friend, she doesn't look him in the eye when she teases " Oh, and Ron? It's Mrs Malfoy to you now."
And the match was on.
But anticipating the bomb would go off, Ginny pulled her brother across the room before he made another scene.
That reunion would be remembered for the rest of the years...
