From Suit to Boots (A Blairon Story)
Summary
Ron Weasley lived on a farm with all his siblings next to the Zabini family. His best friend Blaise was always around. Until after high school. They tried to keep in touch but Blaise quit answering calls and letters. What sparks reignite when Blaise comes back for his mother's funeral. How will Blaise deal with having to trust in his estranged family and dealing with will disputes as well as falling in love with someone who he'd been friends with all his life? And how will Ron make Blaise go from a stylish fancy boy suit to his look of a cowboy, hat, boots, and all that but no spurs. NOTE: There will be smut in this, no clue when but there will be. And when there is the chapter will have a note that says it in the notes section. Take caution to this story. I live in GA and I don't care what you find 'innacurate' okay? If I put it in there, a southern boy who's ridden enough horses to hate him, I'm sure its correct. ALSO THIS IS IN AMERICA BECAUSE I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT A FARM IN ENGLAND IS LIKE
Note
These are moments along the friendship of Blaise and Ron before Blaise left.

Chapter 1//Before the Suit

They were not even born yet and they were already best friends. It was common. When they were the kids who lived next to each other, and their moms were friends, and their dads worked on their farm together until Blaise's daddy died from a heart attack 2 months before Blaise was born, it was common for them to be friends. Ron has 6 siblings and he was the youngest boy. His mother paid him no mind, caring more about his little sister Ginny than anything. She already hated him before he was born because she knew he was a boy. All she'd wanted was a daughter but God blessed her with 6 boys she didn't care about and one little girl she wanted everything to do with.

Thankfully Blaise's mother had several girls and only one son so Ginny got some best friends and Blaise was never alone in getting in the mud. He and Ron became best friends over time. And this was all the best.

They were 4 and Molly had just dropped Ron off at Blaise's house. It was Ms. Zabini's turn to have the boys that Molly didn't want over and Molly got the girls. Since the brothers had all had plans made with their father for things consisting of the farm work and Ron was still too little to even pull a carrot out of the ground, he was dropped off. His dad worked as a multi-crop farmer for all his life. In fact, Ron's grandfather had lived in the same farmhouse and worked on the same fields as they all would be. When Aurthur is to the age of not being able to work, his oldest brother Bill will take over and end up living in the ranch house while the others go off to find wives and a husband for Ginny. They'd settle down somewhere and spread the family business.

Blaise was just trying to eat his fruit snack when Ron came into the house. Both boys sat at the table and shared the snack. It was a good snack: strawberries and yogurt. (how do you all pronounce it? Comment. I say yo-gurt) Blaise's mom came in from some washing and took the boys into the backyard to play with the swing set Blaise had gotten for his birthday a while back.

It was winter and they were 7. Ron was staring at Blaise and Blaise was staring at the mistletoe above their heads. Ron and Blaise shrugged and kissed each other on the cheek. No one paid any mind to the two boys, making them giggle and run to the enclosed back porch to sit and enjoy the cold air and their latest presents.

They were 11 and Ron was just groaning. They had been doing math homework for an hour, or Blaise was doing the homework and Ron was just complaining about the first equation.

"B, I hate Mr. Travis. He didn't give me enough help on this. Please?"

"Ronny I'm not doing your homework now stop it before my momma knocks some sense into you."

"B I just want to have ice cream!"

"My momma said not till our homework is done and no you can't copy me!"

Ron groaned again. "I'll die if I do this homework."

Blaise gained a soft smile. "If you do your homework I'll draw you again."

Ron straightened up fast and started to work. Blaise was good at drawing and Ron loved being still for something awesome. He was terrible at grocery stores but amazing at amusement parks.

"There's my Ronny." That made Ron blush.

They were 15 and in Ron's room with Ron's head on Blaise's shoulder. The radio was playing and so Ron was able to hum the tune. They were in the safety of Ron's room. No light but the bedside lamp since it was 2 am. The radio was quiet but they heard the song. This had been a secret for a while now and they liked It that way so that no one could make fun of them. Blaise slowly pulled away and took off one of his bracelets and carefully put it around Ron's left wrist. He saw Ron's gaze on the bracelet and tilted his head up, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead.

"I love you." Those 3 words meant so much. So so much.

"I love you too." Ron hugged Blaise happily. They continued to sway into the morning. When Ron heard his parents start to come down the hallway, he and Blaise rushed to pretend to sleep in their sleeping situations.

They were in the barn Ron's family had. They had blankets set out in the hayloft and clothes were all over the place. Ron smiled as he relaxed and cuddled up to Blaise. They both caught their breath and softly laughed.

"Goddammit, that was good. Thanks for doing that with me." Ron smiled up at his boyfriend.

"Anything for you." he kissed his forehead and relaxed as he watched Ron fiddle with the bracelet Blaise gave him a while ago.

"I didn't get a letter."

"What?" he knew what he meant. They both had tried to apply to the same colleges and Blaise had plenty of letters to last him the rest of his life. But not one school wanted Ron? Why? "Why?"

"I don't know. I'm sorry. You go be big and famous and rich without me. But don't forget about me."

"Long-distance-"

"Isn't what you wanted. And I don't want it either. So I'm thinking that...this was fun but we have to break up now. Okay?"

"Okay. I'll always love you but I don't think I'll be able to keep loving you like this."

"And that's okay. I love you. So let's just spend this last week in each other's arms."

"Okay."

Ron watched as Blaise put the last bag in his truck. He was actually leaving. For Harvard of all places. Ron saw Blaise start to come over and he jumped over the porch fence, going to hug his only friend in this world goodbye.

Blaise smiled. "Come here, Ronny." He hugged his best friend, who was now sobbing into the other's chest. "I'll write every chance I can. I promise."

"You have to promise me you'll never lose touch."

"I won't." Blaise's mother yelled for him and Blaise turned to see she was pointing to her wrist and a non-existent watch. "Well, that means I have to go. I'll miss y'all, man." Blaise let go and Ron did too. They fist-bumped before Blaise turned back to his truck and got in. He buckled up and started his truck. He looked to Ron one moe time before putting the truck in drive and getting out. He drove away slowly, tears meeting his cheeks as he did. Freedom from his mom but losing Ron. Worst day and the best day ever.
