I do! (The Owl House)
Luz led her girlfriend by the hand through the forest, making sure she didn’t trip over any roots while blindfolded. Amity was giggling the entire way, completely unsure where Luz was taking her.
Eventually they stopped, and Luz removed the blindfold to reveal a blanket laid down in a clearing, with a gap in the trees to showcase the beautiful night stars.
“What do you think, sweet potato?” Luz asked, shifting on her feet nervously.
“I think that it is absolutely wonderful!” Amity replied, giving the human a soft kiss on the lips before leading her blushing girlfriend to the blanket.
They lay there for a while, enjoying the view and talking about random things before Luz pulled out a light glyph and set off a ball of light. Amity looked at her curiously.
“What are you doing silly?” She whispered getting no response as Luz reached into her pocket an pulled out a beautiful amethyst ring.
Amity gasped at the sight of it, eyes watering.
“I don’t know if you had heard about this human tradition, but the ring symbolizes-“
“YES!” Amity screamed, cutting Luz off.
“Yes you have heard of the tradition or…?”
“Yes silly, I will marry you!”
Luz blinked in surprise before shrugging and slipping the ring onto Amity’s outstretched hand. They kissed passionately before breaking away, both smiling.
“I was wondering when you were going to ask.” Amity whispered, rolling over to look at the stars once more.
Luz’s brain was alight with confusion but she just decided to roll with it. After all, being fiancés is better than promising to marry her someday, right?
