Nostalgia
Morfin and Tom are discussing their son's first ever boyfriend, Jared.
Tom smiled. "Hearing our Felix talk about Jared reminds me of when we were young and in love."
Morfin smirked. "You mean that day you came to see me and I was sure you had come to see my sister?"
Tom laughed. "I cannot believe that you thought I liked Merope in that way."
Morfin pointed out, "You can't really blame me because you spoke to her more than me on your previous visits."
Tom blushed. "Yeah, that's because I was too shy to talk to you..."
Morfin rolled his eyes. "Oh, come on. You were never shy!"
Tom shrugged. "Around most people, maybe. I could talk to your sister for hours on end because she wasn't you. I mean to say that in the early days, I believed that if I spoke to you then I would mess everything up. I never thought that you would actually like me like I liked you."
Morfin grinned. "Well, I did and still do. Despite the fact that you rarely said much to me before that day. Truth be told, I rather thought your awkwardness towards me was cute."
Tom raised an eyebrow. "You did?"
Morfin nodded. "Most people in my life at that time were loud, proud and confident. You weren't, but I liked that about you."
Tom beamed, "I'm not so quiet and shy around you now though, yet you still love me."
Morfin kissed him on the cheek. "I wouldn't dream of loving anybody else."
