Different Case

* Some days later *

~ Will POV ~

I wiped my eyes before looking again at the zagra in Beverly's lab where I was helping her with the samples. Just a few more minutes and I would see Bella and Hadrian. 

They landed a few hours ago, Ara texted me when they arrived at their her home and that they would go to bed because on They didn't make it on the plane. 

Mentally I was making a shopping list for them if they still haven't made it but knowing their jet leg I know they are still sleeping like they killed themselves. It's more Hadrian sleeping while Ara is relaxing and planning the plan of action they will take. 

I know that they will follow what she has determined. I looked at my phone seeing that Bella had sent me a photo ''Waiting for you'' it was captioned below and I could feel her wanting to drool 

'' What do you have there? '' asked Beverly 

'' Ara send me what I'm having for lunch '' I replied showing me the photo 

'' Woo it looks good '' she said 

'' I'm hungry now '' she said 

'' Just 5 more minutes and my shift is over '' I said they already want to be with people who value me as much as I value them 

'' She's a cook too? '' she asked 

'' No but she could be, her empathy is stronger than mine though and she can feel the feelings of the equal as well as the dead so '' I said 

'' Too many emotions in one place '' she continued understandably

'' She can turn off her empathy but sometimes the emotions are so strong that she still feels them. She does, however, like to cook for those close to her '' I added putting the file in its proper place. 

I sighed when the clock showed I was free and hoped I wouldn't run into Jack, I quickly stood outside the door muting my phone. I showed Beverly to be quiet and she nodded in understanding. 

She could also see that Jack had become very demanding of me as well as not taking my health into consideration. I am seriously considering the offers of Ara, Stella, Hadrian, Alexa and Aspen.

 Every day they sound better and better knowing that I will be free from criticism and orders from people who don't really care about me. 

" Beverly do you know where Will is? " I heard Hannibal's voice 

" No, but maby  I can  help you with it Hanni? " she asked 

" I just wanted to tell him that I have to cancel his sessions tomorrow. I have a meeting with people from the opera house and I accidentally scheduled his session at the same time " he replied 

'' I'll tell him if I still see him and if I don't I'll write him this '' she said 

'' I'll send him this message but thank you for your help but you don't need it if he already knows about it '' he said 

" How much longer will you stand behind these Will? " he asked suddenly 

" How did you know '' I asked 

'' Pure coincidence '' he replied 

'' I knew you were still helping her '' he said admitting after a moment of silence

 '' I have to go now. See you tomorrow Beverly, Hannibal '' I said before I left the lab 

'' Where is he in such a hurry? " I heard Hannibal ask Beverly 

" His friends are already here and Ara has prepared food for them " I heard her reply. 

Surprisingly I managed to get to the car without any rare problems and before I was out I was already outside Ara's house 

" Honey I'm home '' I said entering 

'' Willy " said Ara before she hugged me tightly. 

I firmly reciprocated the hug feeling the stress and fatigue from the whole day leave me. When she released me Hadrian pulled me into an equally strong hug before he looked at me carefully. 

" Don't analyze him right away Hadrian give him time to eat and rest " said Ara before grabbing my hand and taking me to the living room. 

When we sat down together Hadrian handed me the warm food. I knew they had to keep it in a slightly heated oven to keep it warm 

" I  have missed your cooking '' I said 

'' I'm glad you still like it '' she replied 

'' Honestly only Hannibal has a chance to match you in cooking but honestly you will always be the best. You cook to be plenty, tasty and healthy and Hannibal cooks to be healthy and elegant " I said taking the last bite 

" Hannibal Lecter, your psychiatrist? " asked Ara 

" He invited me and others to his place for dinner several times '' I replied taking a glass of juice 

'' I'm glad you ate well from time to time '' said Hadrian sitting down in an armchair across from us 

'' We know you hate to cook and what you told us about your 'boss', he drags you out of bed at different hours. One thing that puzzles me is why you didn't object. You are not qualified to work in the field as FBI your main job is to train new recruits '' said Ara taking the dirty dishes to the kitchen. When she returned she brought with her a plate of cookies and a tray of juice for us

When she sat down next to me I again gently snuggled into her. Her presence always put me at ease not for lying down like I was having a bad day. 

Ara pulled me closer to her so that I would lie more on top of her before she kissed my forehead before playing with my hair. 

I sighed softly relaxing more feeling all the stress coming off me. Ara handed me a cookie which I immediately bit into barely stopping myself from moaning at how good it tasted. 

I must persuade her to open a bakery because although she cooks deliciously she bakes much better. I know, however, that she can't be seen in the kitchen 24 hours a day baking for all sorts of customers. 

I furrowed my brow when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. In my mind I started to curse Jack thinking it was him but was positively surprised that it wasn't 

'' Hello Will '' he said when I picked up 

'' Hi Hanna, is something wrong? '' I asked 

'' You left your wallet in your office and I took it before Jack touched it. My question is do you want me to give it to you now or tomorrow? '' he asked 

'' Let in bring it to you here '' said Ara in a quiet whisper 

'' I'm not at home right now but I can send you Ara's address if that's not a problem. She lives closer to the city than I do '' I said texting her the address 

'' I'll be there soon '' he replied before hanging up 

'' So we'll meet him sooner than expected '' said Ara 

'' Take Hades, Ikar and Pandora to one room we don't know how he'll react to them '' added Ara saying Hadrian 

'' Hades, Ikar, Pandora come '' he said and to my surprise followed him 

'' They mostly listen to Hadrian right after me but if I reacted they would be '' she replied seeing my focused face. 

I snuggled back into her before we heard the house bell. Ara walked to the door before opening it 

'' Come in Dr. Lecter, Will is in the living room '' she said 

'' May I offer Coffee, Juice, Water or Tea '' she added

'' I don't want to overstay my welcome and disturb you. I will give Will his wallet and be on my way. Please also call me Hannibal '' he said 

'' Only if you will call us by name also '' said Hadrian carrying an extra plate 

'' You are not disturbing Hannibal. We were just talking about how I was doing and I was supposed to tell them what we were working on '' I said getting up from the couch 

'' Coffee, Juice, Water or Tea? '' asked Arabella 

'' Tea will be fine '' he said giving me my wallet before sitting down on the couch with me 

'' Please treat yourself '' said Hadrian putting fruit on the table. Hannibal took a piece of cake before taking a bite. I could see his surprise and satisfaction with the cake 

'' This is delicious '' he said 

'' Thank you Hannibal, Do you sweeten and do you want lemon or currant juice for your tea '' said Ara 

'' Two teaspoons please and a lemon '' he replied with a smile 

'' Thank you '' he thanked her before Ara sat down on the chair next to Hadrian 

'' How are you Hannibal? '' she asked 

'' I'm good Arabella but I can say I'm curious about your work. You can tell me more about what you do, Will brought up the subject but it's better sometimes to hear all about it from a professional '' he said  

'' The gift to see ghosts comes from my mother's side of the family, while my mother could see delicate figures for me they are more clearly and most times I can strike up a conversation with them. When I was a little girl I had to learn quickly to distinguish between good spirits and bad ones as well as to do so so that the government of these souls would not attach to me and affect my life '' shesaid 

'' As I learned more I got to know different types of mediums similar to me, those who work on helping lost souls as well as those who deal with Witchcraft. I would not recommend this to people who are not accurate as well as not believing this seriously because one mistake can destroy someone's life forever or they will be possessed. It can also open a portal for spirits and demons that allow them to move between places as well as the other side '' she continued before taking a sip of her juice. She gave Hannibal a moment to think about what she had told him so far. 

'' It can be interesting for many but also not safe so you always need something to protect yourself. Most older and more trained people recommend the color green, ritual crystals and even have a bottle of Holy Water. Always when I leave places or scenes I repeat the same words ''You can't follow us, you don't attach to us, you don't belong with us, this is your place'' so that I don't get an attachment in the form of a spirit or demon, a creature '' she said seriously

'' Do you often manage to find something? '' he asked 

'' To record sound is more likely than to record how something falls off a wall or flies down a hallway. There are various methods of catching activity such as thermal camera, cat balls, flashlights, music box, digital recorder, EMF reader, spirit box. In my opinion, the most effective method as it is is the estes method '' she replied 

'' I have seen her do the estes method several times and each time it didn't it scared me a little. I tried it once when I wasn't convinced and all my insecurities disappeared within minutes '' I said remembering that 

'' Fascinating '' said Hannibal 

'' You're more positive than most people I've met in the 18 years since I started getting serious about working as a medium '' she said 

'' I've learned that the world isn't quite how we see it. You see two versions of it and that makes me curious. To say that you lie or stretch the truth will be an insult to you '' replied Hannibal when Hadrian whom I didn't know had left the room returned 

'' The pizza will be ready in 15 minutes '' he said sitting down again 

'' Is it that late already? '' asked Hannibal looking at the clock above the mirror. I wasn't surprised that several hours had passed, but it felt like only a few minutes. 

'' Stay Hannibal with us for dinner, tell me honestly when was the last time you had good homemade pizza '' said Hadrian seeing Hannibal was ready to leave 

'' I don't want to '' Your presence here is nice and comfortable. We enjoy talking with you as well as we will feel bad if we let you leave without eating with us '' he was interrupted by Ara 

'' After that you still have to meet Hades, Icarus and Pandora '' I added with a smile '' I let them out into the garden after I fed them '' Hadrian informed us 

'' All right, I'll stay,'' he said, seeing that Hadrian and Ara won't give in

'' You are stubborn '' he added with a smile

'' The sooner you learn it and remember it the better '' said Ara with a testing smile 

'' I'll remember that '' he replied with a small smile, and I was glad that Ara was able to get through Hanna's wall. 

I knew that together we would be able to show Hannibal that he could be himself with us and not control his emotions all the time. I couldn't wait for him to meet Alex, Stella and Aspen
