like brothers and sisters do

“Do you like it?” she asks, pouting those pretty little lips in a shape that’s much more sinful than it should be, given the fact that he’s her brother. “I picked it myself.”

He chuckles at that, scrubbing a hand across his stubbled jaw, drinking in the sight of in her lingerie-clad glory. Red has always been his favorite color, especially on her. “I can see that, baby. But this isn’t what we agreed on now, is it?”

Hermione shakes her head, shivers in a way that would signal nervousness to anyone else. But Harry is her older brother—step brother, if you care about semantics—and he knows her better than he knows himself. He knows that the sheen her amber eyes take is defiance.

It’s clear then, that this is no accident. That she ignored the set of gold lingerie he set on her bed on purpose—to get a rise out of him.

Maybe he should’ve expected it. He does know her, after all, knows she doesn’t take shit from anyone. Knows she likes it rough.

And he knows that’s the reason why she’s smiling like she isn’t in the wrong.

“On your knees, Hermione.” It’s a demand, one he knows she’ll gladly follow like the good little girl she is. “You’re about to find out what happens when sisters go against their brothers wishes.”
