Note
Well, I never thought I would actually start writing ficsI usually just keep them in my headBut maybe it's time to share some of themMy 20s have made me want to try some things and get out of the castle I've built around myself a littleWell, first of all, I'm listening to the song Human by Rag'n'Bone Man right now and I think this fic might be a bit of a matchI usually don't ship characters that the author hasn't officially paired up with each other, but with Chaos and Lala from the Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy, it's different.I feel like there's something between themSomething Stephanie Garber didn't tell usBut we were given a little hint in A Curse for True LoveThere really is something between them and Lala's hatred for Chaos is just a maskA mask to hide her true feelingsWell, it's been said that Fates have very strong emotions and that's what makes them dangerousThat's how immortals are in Stephanie Garber's worldAnd it's also been mentioned that immortals have strong memories from when they were still humanLala, Jacks, and Chaos became immortals at a time when tragic events had happened to all of them and because of that, their hearts and minds were very damagedIn the end, the Valor Arch opened (let's factor in the devastating events that happened during and after) and the Valor family was freeWhat Lala wants is to see her first loveLala has lived for centuries and has had a lot of time to think about her first love and this While Dane was asleepAs I said, immortals feel strongly and Lala had made her first love so bigAs no man could ever reach what Lala had in mind and that is why she left them and her heart was brokenWhen she finally saw the man who was supposed to be her husband when she was human, she realized that this man was just an ordinary person and all those expectations and things that Lala had made up in her mind about him are not trueHere the story ends with a happy ending for Evangeline and jacksBut what about Lala? What about chaos? They reached the goal that had occupied their minds for centuries and this goal is now overAnd now they have to change their beliefs and mindset about many things

Beautiful eyes

Lala arrived at the beating heart of the city, where there was everything from the dragon-roasted sticky apples to clothing stores and even illegal magical items (since she herself sometimes sold her tears, she was well acquainted with this market). Her intention today in coming out was to do the necessary things, which she had done now. Although she had intended to go to Merrywood Forest and let her emotions and memories overflow, since she was going to build her family mansion soon and she was going to be going there a lot to supervise the construction, it was not necessary to go there for now. Instead, she wanted to buy some fabric (although it was not the only fabric she wanted to buy). She wanted to wander around the shops until she spent all the money she had with her (which was why she had not brought a little money with her. She wanted to buy new things without having any prior intention of buying them). The Magnificent North was always full of stories and wonderful things, always something was to be amazed by.she wanted to let her hometown, this land of tears, blood, beauty and laughter, surprise her today. She started looking at the vendors and their goods, hoping that something would catch her attention. She also listened carefully to see what the vendors were selling and heard a girl say: "Eyeshadow palettes that change color according to emotions, you won't find this kind of shade anywhere! You ladies with good taste deserve at least one of these magical shades!" Lala loved clothes, she loved things that encompassed and enhanced beauty, and makeup was one of those things, so she went to the vendor. The girl who sold the color-changing shadows was the vendor.
The saleswoman was a girl with fair skin and auburn hair, who was about the same height as Lala. What caught Lala's attention were the girl's eyes. The girl's right eye was light brown, and a quarter of the pupil of the girl's left eye was also the same light brown, but most of the rest was purple. "Hello, lady of good taste. You really deserve your eye shade. I have a variety of colors here, from primary colors to secondary colors. You should choose your favorite color."
Lala came to her senses at the girl's voice and stopped staring, then looked at the shadows, the seller was really telling the truth, she had all the colors and she could look at them for hours and not get tired
"Gold, I want the gold color"
"To be honest, from the color of your clothes and the color of your shoes, it was clear from the beginning what your favorite color is"
"Yes, yes, I am a person who shows off their interests in my clothes"
"This is a very good thing, there have been many who hid themselves, even their smallest interests and were not bold and now worms live in their bones, of course if they are newly dead. I think being bold starts with these small things"
Lala liked the seller's daughter and hoped to see her again (one of her habits was that when she found a person or a thing she liked, she did not let go of them and that is why she hoped to see her again)
"Do you always sell your goods here? And are there any other things you'll be selling in the future? Besides color-changing eye shade?"
"Hmm...my job doesn't have a set time and place, but yes, we'll still come."
"What have you sold before? Because it seems like you work with magical things."
"That's right, I'm interested in little magical things. I've sold perfumes before that people smell their favorite things with, and each person smells a different scent from another. I have sold papers that can be used to send letters to a secret love. These letters burn after being read and with the word "burn" said, leaving no evidence of the relationship.
I have sold keys that change shape with any lock. Of course, they work according to the intention, and if you intend to do something illegal or harmful, it will not work. But for example, if you want to surprise your friend and you want to enter his house when he is out, the key will work, because you have no bad intentions, but I am afraid that people can hide their real intentions and the key will be fooled. I have sold bags that can grow larger depending on the items you put in them, of course there are limitations."
"Wow, these are beautiful things. I hope to see you next time you bring a magic item."
"You can give me your address, I can tell you my location every time i come from the day before."
"Thank you," Lala said with a girlish smile.
"She wrote her address for the woman and picked up her golden shade and paid for it and started to leave and suddenly she remembered something. "What is your name, by the way? My name is Lala."
"My name is Agalaya."
"Hope to meet you again Agalaya," she said with a smile and walked away. She thought to herself that Evangeline liked Agalaya too, she made a mental note in her mind that the three of them would see each other in the future.
Lala set off again and about 30 minutes later she saw a vendor selling cakes of different colors with her cart. Lala saw the vendor putting a piece of chocolate or jam of different flavors on the cake and then a small dragon was heating and melting the chocolate or jam on the cake with fire. She had always loved chocolate things so without a second thought she bought herself a piece of chocolate cake (maybe her human life might have been a bit of a girlish fear of eating things that might make her gain weight, but as a fates she didn't want to worry about these things at all).
Then she realized she had to get home early to at least draw the initial design of her next dress, so she walked towards her favorite fabric store. Mr. Brightspark's fabrics were speechless. Lala loved his large and colorful store. She loved the rich smell of fabrics. It didn't matter if the fabric was cotton or silk, Lala even liked leather.
It was about 20 minutes to Mr. Brightspark’s shop, it was sunset and it was getting dark, of course the magnificent north was lit up everywhere so the darkness wasn’t a big deal.
Lala’s body suddenly tingled, as if an invisible shadow of deep, silent, and merciless darkness had gripped her spine. A heavy, penetrating feeling, like the stare of faceless eyes from behind the curtain of night, enveloped her. But Lala, like someone fleeing from the fear of the truth, didn’t turn around. Her footsteps echoed in the narrow, silent alley, on the cold cobblestones, as if they were shouting out her heartbeat.
The cold wind blowing from the heart of the night wrapped her skin like ice, but the real cold seeped through her bones. A vague feeling, like hot, rotten breath, crept up the back of her neck. A breath that came not from life but from forgotten graves.
With this feeling, he finally reached the fabric store and when he entered the fabric store he breathed a sigh of relief, because the colors of the fabrics took him away from this paranoid feeling
"Hello Lala, I haven't seen my favorite customer for a few weeks"
"Hello Mr. Brightspark, I've had a really hard month, you wouldn't believe it"
"To be honest, it was a really strange month, it turned out that Prince Apollo had erased Evangeline Fox's mind and taken her away from her love, Lord jacks. That he had made such dirty plans to make himself look like a hero, I'm really glad the new rulers of the North have exposed these things. Anyone who commits such cowardly acts is not worthy of position and love. I hope they find the fugitive Apollo soon and put him in prison."
Lala was glad that the Valors had taken control quickly and dismissed Jacks's accusations. But surely telling Apollo's latest act might create a temptation for immortality, so it make sense not to say it.
"That's right. What poor Evangeline and Lord Jacks have suffered at the hands of this coward. It's disturbing."
There was a pause.
"Did you get new fabrics, Mr. Brightspark?"
"Oh, of course I did. Do you want to take a look at them?"
"I'm dying for them."
"Ha ha, it's not time to die, it's time to see new fabrics. Follow me."
They set off and then Lala saw the new fabrics. She couldn't describe what she saw.
She saw a sea of colors.
Red, green, orange, pink, white, black, brown, blue, yellow, gold, purple, and...
She decided that her new dress would be a combination of two colors that would complement each other.
At first, she wanted to buy golden, but she felt she needed something new.
Another color that she liked that would go well with her golden jewelry.
Finally, she chose a dark blue velvet fabric.
"This blue fabric is my choice. What do you think?"
"You have great taste as always"
The cloth was cut and Lala paid for it and left the shop and walked towards home.
She didn't feel the feeling of being followed anymore, so she told herself that she had hallucinated before. If anyone was following Lala, she could handle herself. She had a dagger with her and even if she didn't have a dagger, she could have say a spell that set the attacker on fire and burned him or even cut off the blood supply to his brain and killed him. she was also a fates, she had great physical strength, so what exactly was she afraid of?
After a day full of fateful discussions and pleasant shopping, she reached home and breathed a sigh of relief.
she lit the fireplace like in the morning
And put on his nightdress
Then he remembered the eyes shadow and went to the table where he had placed it, picked it up
He went to the mirror and applied some of it behind his eyelids. The shadow was a beautiful color but like the other shadows it was golden so he thought of something pleasant, he thought of the fact that in two days he would go to the Hollow to visit Evangeline and Jacks, and she sae that the eyes shadow turn to Shiny Gold, then she thought of something sad, she thought of the tragic end of his brother's life, with his pure heart that was the kindest of them all, and she sae the eyes shadow turn to Dark Gold Lustre and smiled bitterly. she was never shy about showing his feelings, so she had no problem changing the color of the eyes shadow with hir thoughts.
she wiped the eyes shadow and She went to sit by the fireplace. to draw some preliminary sketch of her future outfit.
...
Lala came to and saw that she had drawn several designs and the fire in the fireplace had become a little smaller.
She didn't know which one she liked best and she knew that the initial designs were very different from the final designs.
she loved this part of her work, this challenge and this anticipation.
she got up and put her notebook on the table and didn't bother to close it. It was open to the latest sketch Lala had drawn.
Who dares to enter the house of a demigod anyway? Only fools.
she went to bed to sleep. she lay down and found that, unlike the night before, she felt much better.
she smiled to himself, happy to have taken her first step.
The first steps were always difficult, but they gradually became easier.
her brain was as tired as her body and she fell asleep quickly.
_____________________________________________________________________
The story curse witnessed something that night. And that thing was that the girl was not mistaken when she felt someone looking at her after sunset. That night, someone was looking for the girl and watching her movements with a bright smile. It was as if he was watching a shooting star in the sky. In the boy's opinion, the girl might really be a shooting star. He had long ago dug a hole in his heart for the girl's love, because he knew that the girl might be in love with another man, and he didn't want to cause her pain. It was better to watch her from a distance. He was a monster, but not so much that he could force people to love him. But when he heard from Dane Valor, the boy who was the girl's first love, that the girl had broken up their relationship, his love for the girl came out of the ground and began to sprout. It was still a long way from the newly emerged love becoming a beautiful flower, but he was a patient man.
He looked at the preliminary sketches of the girl's future dress, and at the same time, looking carefully at the drawn details, he ran his tongue over his fangs, long, sharp teeth with which he drank blood. His green eyes looked at the designs with respect, and he realized that he could not wait to see the girl finally sew and wear her dress.
Castor Valor was many things. A prince. A brother. A son. A friend. A monster. A lord. A destroyer. A savior. A vampire. A destructive chaos. But it was never mentioned that he once loved a girl but had to give her up because she was going to marry his brother. After all, his mother had raised him to be a gentleman. He never intended to hurt the girl, but there was a dark side inside him, this dark side was born of the love of a friend and the love of a mother within him. He had caused harms that he had done none of, but at the same time he had done it. It didn't show on his face, but he suffered greatly from it. He didn't want to be the cause of any of these deaths.
He was happy for the Jacks. His friend who had brought him back from the dead, the friend who hadn't killed his twin sister, Aurora, who had ruined all their lives in the past, until just two weeks ago, his friend had been a prisoner of a spell that his twin sister had put on him. But finally, this torture of starving of love and affection was over. His friend was free. And he was so happy for them that he wanted to cry. He was a monster, but he hadn't let that boy that he was, die. He didn't want his family to see a stranger when they returned.
He worked in the shadows and the darkness to serve the light. He was the monster of monsters. The blood that other vampires drank came from people who didn't deserve to live. People who made the poor poorer, people who hurt women because they could, because they enjoyed watching it. Of course, he had followed the girl too, he had heard her heart beat faster with fear, yes, he was a monster too, but the girl was a monster too.
He had seen the girl two weeks ago, he had seen her blush (he couldn't help but flirt with her like he had before), and now he had some hope, hope that the girl would remember their past and give them a second chance. That hope would take time to become something certain, but what Castor had in abundance was time, and the girl was like Castor too.
He tilted his head slightly and looked at the girl with a smile. Until the sun rose, the boy would stay there, looking at the girl with respect and a bit of evil. He suppressed his obsession to touch the girl. If necessary, he would put a spell on his teeth so that he could not drink anything when he was near her (was there such a spell? I wish there was! Because Castor's greatest enemy was his dark half, the one who destroyed everything) "Oh Ariel, do you feel it? This pull? We are a wonderful combination, my dear. I am the powder, you are the fuse, all it takes is a little friction to explode"
