Chapter 3
The next morning Hermione met Draco in the common room, she couldn't help but go red when they made eye contact she was still quite embarrassed.
"I think we are playing at this too fast, we need to go slower we can't just jump into it people will become suspicious" By people Hermione meant Ginny she knew Ginny would become suspicious.
"Mh I was thinking the same although we could walk in at similar times, just leave the rest to me Granger" Draco told her, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Hermione left the common room first taking a quick detour on her way stopping at the library to return some books before taking her seat with Ginny.
Ron wasn't sitting with her or Harry he was sitting with Lavender near the Patil Twins, god she had the biggest urge to throw hex's at them.
"Far out Hermione" Harry said when she noticed him "I haven't seen you since Friday are you ok?"
"I'm fine Harry calm down" Hermione replied back, was she lying to Harry no. Was she lying to herself? Most definitely.
"Let's just change the subject" Hermione told Harry as they all dove into conversation. Hermione desperately avoided all talk of Ron and all the glances she was getting from people around the room, and a certain group sitting down at the table.
Breakfast went smoothly for the first twenty minutes or so until Ginny's gaze averted over to the Slytherin Table.
"Why is Malfoy staring at you?" Ginny asked out of nowhere startling the group, Hermione turned around and followed her gaze to see Malfoy.
"Very funny Ginny" Hermione replied, going right back to eating and acting like he didn’t exist.
"No seriously Mione he's been glancing at you all breakfast" Ginny said turning to Harry for confirmation, he nodded his head.
"Yeah sure" She said playing it cool, but she couldn't quite help herself. She turned around to find Draco looking after her again.
Before she could look away grey met brown and she couldn't help but keep looking at him, she turned away once Ginny regained her attention.
"Who are you looking at Mate?" An intrigued Theodore asked who was sitting across from him with his back against the Gryffindor Table.
"Really Theo? Take a guess" Blaise said, rolling his eyes at Theo's pure stupidity.
"Got your eyes on Granger again?" Theo said, smirking and giving his friend a wink.
"Mate I thought you got over this whole crush on her from 6th Year, it's a little bit pathetic" Blaise said chuckling.
"Fuck off Blaise, this isn't that nor will it ever be" Draco said defensively looking away, fuck he thought to himself he forgot he told the boys about his small crush he had on Granger.
Small was possibly an understatement, he had always been quite drawn to her and the mystery was of what was she hiding under those baggy school clothes.
It wasn't quite a mystery anymore after last night's event he was quite pleased with himself, he was actually harbouring a hard on.
But to what he would call 'His amazing self control' he got it under control, and by getting it under control that meant thinking of the Headmaster naked. Always does the trick he thought to himself with a smirk growing on his face.
He could only hope that Weaslette and Potter would possibly spread some word.
Snapping out of his trance he brought his attention back to Theo and Blaise as the three talked about the next class they all shared, ah yes Herbology.
"Alright class, settle down now!" Professor Spout said as she entered the green house. "Everyone will find their partners on a piece of parchment in-front of your pot.
Draco Malfoy was no amateur; he had planned around this completely; that morning before breakfast he had come down to the green house and changed the parchment around and the partnering.
"Looks like you're with me Granger" Draco said with his infamous smirk growing on his face, he was what some people would call an evil genius.
Hermione made her way over to the bench with Draco, she then saw Ginny and Blaise Zabini on the other side of the bench, she had a feeling this may have been done on purpose.
"So how did you do it?" Hermione whispered to Draco whilst the Professor drew on about the lesson.
"I don't know what you're talking about Granger" Draco said, still trying to obtain his poker face, but that victorious smirk couldn't help but grow on his face.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about Malfoy" She said in a suggestive tone. "So how did you do it?"
"Ah Granger, a great Slytherin never reveals their secret" He whispered, bringing his face dangerously close to her face.
Ginny Weasley was closely watching the two from the other side of the bench, as was Blaise Zabini. The two were so wrapped up in each other they didn't notice the conversation brewing between Blaise and Ginny.
"Granger and Draco have been getting quite close," Blaise said, fishing trying to see if Ginny knew anything he didn't know.
"Yes I've noticed" Ginny said trying not to give away her curiosity, she had never really spoken to Blaise before.
The rest of the lesson went smoothly, multiple times Hermione witnessed Ronald throwing looks over in her direction. She couldn't quite decide if they were disgusted or jealous.
"Alright that's all we need to do with the planting we just need to water it here" she said reaching over for the small hose attached to the bench, without realising she knocked the faucet causing water to spray all over Draco.
"Far out Granger" He said looking down at his shirt which was completely soaked, the professor made her way over but Draco waved it off.
Now he had to make a choice, brush it off and cast a simple drying spell or he could take his shirt off.
It's Draco Malfoy, there was no way he would pass up on the opportunity to take his shirt off in-front of everyone, especially since Granger was right there.
"Really Granger if you wanted to see me shirtless so badly you only had to ask" He added with a wink unbuttoning his shirt and ringing it out.
Hermione went bright red in the face trying to keep her eyes off his chest, but quite frankly she couldn't.
"In your dreams Malfoy" she retorted, still trying to cover up her blush.
"Maybe it is" He replied, before Hermione could react he snatched the hose out of her hand and sprayed her down with it.
Worst day ever to wear a red bra she thought to herself, Draco Malfoy was certainly not thinking the same thing.
Things started to get out of hand once Draco turned and sprayed Blaise down too, in the crossfire he caught Ginny which caused an over all Water fight at their work bench.
"ENOUGH" Professor Sprout yelled "All of you out of my classroom and detention for a week!"
The four walked out of her classroom, Hermione hurrying to catch up with Ginny as Draco and Blaise trailed behind them.
"Maybe I do like the Colour Red" Draco told Blaise, he only rolled his eyes at Draco’s comment.
Hermione was waiting for Draco in the common room that evening when he arrived back.
"Real creative Malfoy that definitely got everyone's attention on us" Hermione said looking up from her book.
"I can't help but remember that you Granger were the one who sprayed me first" Draco said, taking a seat beside her on the couch.
"Walk with me into the great hall tomorrow" Hermione said, still looking at her book.
"Eyes on me Granger," Draco said, taking the book from her hand. "What book is this?"
"It's just a muggle book" she said, snatching the book back from him and giving him a playful nudge.
"What's it about?" He enquired, taking it back looking at the binding of the book.
"It's about two Enemies who get trapped in a room together and they fall in love eventually during a war" She said, he looked surprisingly entertained.
"Sounds good I'll have to read it" Draco said before making his way up to the kitchen.
"Cup of tea Granger?" Draco offered to call from the kitchen.
"Yes please, sounds lovely" The two spent the rest of the afternoon in the common room reading and studying.
