Chapter 13).
HARRIET POV:
It's been amazing so far. There have been no zombies trying to eat us. I know it is because of Arthur. He had put some powerful spells up. So the kids get to play without them getting scared. So for once, it is good to see people happy. Uncle Merle and Daryl have gone to see what they can find in the store with Luna and Charlie. We would soon talk about what we were going to do next.
Earlier today, Rick and Ottis had come back from the small town. I had been feeling on edge for the past few days. Fred thinks that it is nothing. I wasn't sure about that because I felt it was not only walkers lurking in our future.
MEANWHILE, WITH DARYL:
I decided that Merle and myself would go to the store to see what was there. Luna and Charlie had chosen to come with us. It was not a bad day, the sun was out, and a slow breeze was in the air. It didn't take long to get to the store. There were no walkers in sight. So it meant it was now or never. I looked over to Merle. "Hey Merle, could you check the back," I ordered.
"Sure ol'Merle can do that I will take Luna with me," Merle replies.
I looked over to Charlie, and he looked at me. "Come let's take a look," I said to Charlie. Quietly we both opened the door and slowly walked in. It was quiet, so we each took a row and doubled-checked. We all meet in the last row, and Merle looks and me. "All clear baby bro," Merle says.
"Ok, let's get what we can and what we need. I found baby food, nappies, and some children's clothes. I made sure to grab some toys for the kids. I grabbed the canned food and packs of pasta, jars, you name it!
Charlie had two full sacks with goods, Luna had three bags, and Merle had the most. He had five bags and beer. I told them to pack everything in the cars so we could leave.
Once we had the car packed, I asked them all if that was all whatever needed. Luna looked at me.
"I forgot to grab lady's things, I won't be but a moment," Luna gently says while walking back into the store.
I turned to Merle. "Go with her," I told him. Merle nodded and hurried into the store after Luna.
I slowly walked over to Charlie and gave him a kiss. "Daryl, I love you."
"I love you, Charlie."
Before I could kiss Charlie back, a loud scream came from the store. I looked at Charlie, and we both said. "Luna!"
We ran into the store and found a middle-aged man holding a gun to Luna's head. I could tell that my brother was angry as fuck.
"I am warning you. Back away from her, this is your last warning," I heard Merle say to the guy.
"Like I said. I want your stuff and I'm taking her with me. The lads will have some fun with her, after myself of course," the disgusting man says to Merle.
I watch as Merle loses it. A blast of what seems to be magically erupted from him. The magic hit the guy, and he fell to the floor in pain. Out of my eye corner, I see another man coming behind Merle. "Merle watch out behind you," I shouted to my brother.
As Merle turns, the second guy hits Merle in the head, and that is when I lost it. No one hurts my brother. A blast of magic comes from me and the second guy is also on the floor in pain. I could hear Luna and Charlie telling us that it was ok. It was over. It seemed like we not could stop, but we had no control over this.
I heard Luna telling Charlie to go and get Harriet. All that went through my mind was, we were lied to. I could feel the power swirling through me. It kinda scared me.
MEANWHILE WITH HARRIET:
I'm sitting watching Carl play with the cars I had given him. He smiles at me and gives me a wave. I look down at Teddy, who was growing up so fast. He is already 1 year and 1 month old. We had a small party last month for his first birthday. He is looking more and more like me as the days go by.
"Ok, Teddy my love how about we go and put food on for everyone," I say while softly tickling his nose. Ted smiles.
"You are a good boy," I said while I placed a kiss on his forehead.
"Mama I pay with a book," Teddy gently asked me.
"My sweet one of course you can my love," I replied and gave him his book. Before he began to read, he placed his tiny hands on my face and gave me a kiss. "Wove you, mama."
I gave him a warm hug. "Love you to the pup."
I made sure that Ted was ok, and I started to chop the vegetables, but as I started on the potatoes, I could hear my name being called.
"HARRIET, HARRIET."
Opened to RV while trying to calm himself.
"Ok stop and calm down I need you to tell me what caused this," I calmly demanded.
"As you know we went to the store and we did get all the things that we needed and put them in the cars. Then Luna said that she had a fire to get women things for all the ladies. Daryl told Merle to go with her but then whatever heard a loud scream it was from Luna a guy had a gun to her head and Merle lost it a blast of raw magic came from him. Then Daryl lost it as well when the second guy hit Merle," Charlie tells me while trying to take some slow breaths.
"Ok take me to them," I said. Once we got to the store, I could hear the screams. I knew that I had to contain this as soon as possible. Didn't want any walkers coming this way.
The power that both my uncles were showing was the same power that my dad had. The first thing I needed was to stop them. So I blocked their view. I turned to the men and banished them, turning to both of my uncles. "Uncle Merle, uncle Daryl you can stop listening to me. Calm your mind there is no more danger," I told them both, and it worked. They both looked at me with pure shock. "Come you both need to relax and then in the morning we will need to train your magic," I told them.
They both nodded yes to me. I hushed and then side-along-apparated both back to the farm. There I told them to eat and get a good night's sleep. Walking back to my RV to see Rick fast asleep with both Teddy and Carl wrapped in his arms. It was so sweet to see. I grabbed a blanket, placed it on them, and wrapped myself around them.
MEANWHILE WITH DUMBLEDORE:
For once, I knew that my plan would work. I just needed to make sure that I got the elder wand back. Remus is acting weird, but I think he is just having a moment. Maybe I should make sure Remus can't define me in any form.
We're so close, and every time we do, we find ourselves fighting the dam inferi. "Albus the Inferi, it's just too much. We need another plan that will help in finding a way around them." Mad-Eye said to me. I knew he was right, but we didn't have the time for that.
"No that won't do we need to stick to the plan ok," I told him.
We are close than I thought we were. I would say that I will be seeing potter tomorrow. I really can't wait for that.
MEANWHILE, BACK WITH HARRIET:
Both my uncles have been showing tremendous progress and made me happy. I wanted them both to fully understand what having magic meant. But I didn't need to tell them because they are already new. While I wasn't training, then Arthur was helping them.
I didn't need to worry about the kids as Rick had taken them to check the traps. So I decided to sort out the old bag, which I always forget to sort. There were things in there that had been there for so long. Oh wow, I thought I lost this. It was my two-way mirror.
Could it really work if it was broken to the point that, oh what the fuck let's try this?
"Sirius," I said, but nothing. So I tried again. "Sirius." Well, it was worth a try. I was about to put it back in my back when I heard.
"Harriet, is that really your pup?"
It was dad! It worked. "Daddy, I have missed you so much. I have so much to tell you but could you somehow come to me," I excitedly said to dad.
"Pup! We are you and I will come with a few people," Dad asks me. "33°18'01.5" N 84°31'22.4" That's the Greene Family Farm," I said to him. I proceeded to tell him that I felt that something was coming.
"Pup, I need to make sure I grab the things that I need and then I will be there. Keep you and my grandbaby safe ok I love you pup," Dad tells me.
"Daddy, I love you too," I happily replied. I felt much better knowing that dad would be here soon. I needed to tell everyone. I walked outside, Arthur was just finishing up, and I called everyone over. I could see Rick coming back.
"Are you ok my love?" Rick gently asked me. I didn't even realise I was still crying.
"Dad is coming. I found the two-way mirror and I really didn't think it would work. Well, it did he will be he soon as he can," I told them all.
"Har, that is amazing news I can't wait to see him," Fred tells me.
"I very happy as well," George says.
Arthur walked up to me, and I could see the happiness that came from him. "It will be good to see Sirius again." I was happier when my uncles were also happy, even though they had not met him yet. We're all happy.
I pulled Teddy close to me and happily told him. "Grandpapa is coming so pup." I could see the excitement coming from him.
"Papy coming to see me, mama," Teddy says while giving me a grin with his little tooth. I looked over at Carl and could tell that he was upset. I gave Teddy to Rick. "Teddy pup, go to daddy ok," I say to Teddy.
I walked over to Carl and pulled him into my arms. "Pup, tell me what is wrong," I gently ask.
"Mum, I just feel jealous that I..." I stopped him from talking. I knew what was wrong.
"Carl you are my son my dad is also your grandpapa as well. Oh, pup, I was going to be talking to your dad first but I can do that later. Well, there is a thing I can do, so you can be my son by blood. What do you think?" I calmly say.
"Really? I would like that, mum. Did you think dad will let me," Carl asks me? I told him that I would talk to him right now.
Walking back with Carl, I could tell Rick was concerned about Carl. I told Carl that he should go and play with Teddy while I spoke to Rick. "Is Carl ok?" Rick sadly asks.
"Yeah he was a bit jealous that Teddy had a grandpapa he didn't but I did tell him that he was his Grandpapa too," I said.
"I'm so glad that Carl has you, Harriet. I really did love you." I felt happy that Rick felt that way.
"Well I spoke to Carl about this, and he wants it. I told him that I would speak to you about this. There is a potion that will make Carl my son by blood. I would like to do the same with Teddy and you," I nervously told him. Rick looked at me, and the biggest smile came on his face.
"Harriet my love I would love that when can we do that?" Rick asks.
I told him I had already brewed the potion, just in case. "So, how about now," I said to Rick.
"Ok, let's go and tell them," Rick says.
We found Carl and Teddy on the sofa, watching Alice and Wonderland. "Carl, I have spoken to your dad, and he said yes. Teddy baby, would you like Rick to be your daddy, pup," I said to them both.
"Thank you," was all Carl said. I looked at Teddy.
"Daddy is my daddy. Yeah," Teddy says. I told them that I loved them both. I went into my Potion lab and grabbed the two bottles. I gave Carl his and told him to drink it all down. I told him that there would be a bit of pain.
Straight away, Carl cry's out for 10 mins before blacking out.
"Is he ok?" Rick frantically asked.
"Don't panic, that is the natural reaction," I explained to Rick.
"Now, I just need your blood, so he will be not only my son but yours too," I told him. I took his hand to place a tiny cut in the centre of his palm, enough to get the upwelling blood in the veil. I put the jar to Teddy's lips, so he could drink it. After 10 mins of crying, he blacked out.
"+Wow, I can see the change in Carl. He looks like a mixture of us both, and so does Teddy. Thank you, Harriet," Rick says. I was happy, I couldn't wait to see dad. I went on to tell Rick that it would take about an hour or two, so we sat down and had a coffee while we waited.
Those two hours went by fast, and Carl woke up first. I have to say, he looked like us both. When Teddy woke up, he looked more like me but had Rick's hair and nose. "Mummy," was all Carl said to me. All I could do was wrap my arms around him. "How do you feel, pup?" I asked.
"Happy, that is how I feel," Carl said.
I told him to go and get himself a drink and that there was a sandwich in the fridge. "Mama, daddy yay," Teddy says to us. It was a rock that Teddy had picked up.
"That's right, son. I'm your daddy and I love you all," Rick says to Teddy.
I gave Rick Teddy and a beaker, and some mashed potatoes with chicken. I just couldn't help but smile.
MEANWHILE, WITH REMUS:
I feel lost deep inside of me. I lost so much, and now Dumbledore demands I kill Harriet. He had Alastor fighting at his side. I fear that I am losing myself, but I will try to keep my own mind. I know that Teddy was saved by Harriet. I also know that she would blood adopt Teddy. It does hurt that he won't be mine but Harriet's. But all I could think about was trying to keep Harriet safe from Dumbledore.
"Remus my boy, you will make sure that this does not fail. Do you understand me?" Dumbledore demands from me. I knew that I would have to agree to be able to keep her safe.
"Of course Albus," was all I said.
MEANWHILE, BACK WITH HARRIET:
4 hours have gone past, and still waiting for dad. I do hope that he does hurry up. I told Carl we would go outside for a bit, so he could go and play with his favourite cars. "Ok mum, can I take my baby brother as well?" he asked.
"Of course, you can just protect him ok pup," I said to Carl.
I told Rick that I was going to finish cooking food. "Do you need my help love?" Rick offered.
"No, that's ok. You go out without bays and keep them safe," I replied and kissed Rick. I started to prepare the meat because I was going to make a nice stew.
I had just finished preparing food and placed it in the oven when I heard Rick calling my name. "Harriet, my love can you please come over for a second?"
I wonder what Rick needed. I walked out of the RV to see not an only dad but also Snape and McGonagle. But all I cared about was that dad was here.
"DADDY," I shouted while running and jumping into dad's arms. I found myself crying in dad's neck.
"Shshshsh, the pup I got ya I ain't gonna let you go," Dad whispers in my ears as he kisses my forehead.
"I really missed you, Daddy. I really did. You have to come and meet some people that are really close to me," I excitedly said.
"Well, tell me then pup," Dad says.
I pulled dad over to Rick and the boys. "Dad, I would like you to meet my soulmate Rick and our sons Carl and Teddy," I happily said to dad.
"Soulmate? You better not hurt my daughter, or you will be in a world of pain," Dad threatens Rick.
"I love Harriet, I could never hurt her," Rick tells my dad. It seems that dad was happy with the answer.
"Dad, these are your grandbabies, Carl and Teddy." I knew that the boys were happy, and so was dad.
"Papy mine happy, yay," Teddy says to dad. I watch as dad picks up Teddy. Sirius tells me he was happy to have grandbabies.
He turns to Carl. "Wow, you look like a mixture of your mum and dad, Carl. Now come and give your papy a hug," Dad says. I watched as Carl wrapped his arms around dad.
"Dad, there are two more you need to meet. Come and follow me. I took it to our uncles Merle and Daryl.
"Dad, I'd like you to be my uncle Merle and Daryl. They are the brothers of my father, James," I told dad.
"James always talked about you both, but it was always hard for him. He missed you both so much. Daryl was only 2 months old when he last saw you. He was told that you had died. But when James was 19, Dorea and Charles told him the truth. Dumbledore declared you both squibs and made Dorea and Charles get rid of you," Dad tells them.
"It is good to know that our brother knew the truth in the end," Daryl said.
"That's not all, daddy. They both do have magic, and it is the same power that dad had. Do you remember, when I got to see dad, although he couldn't see me? That is how I recognised them," I said to dad.
"I can help with your magic. We need to do that fast because Dumbledore and his little ducks are looking for your pup. It is only a matter of time before he does find you," Dad says. I agreed. I knew he would be looking for me. I just hoped we had the time to train them both.
I saw Carol and told her she should take a chance on Arthur. She blushes and walks over to Dale. I sat outside the RV when Rick walked up to me and got down on one knee. I was in total shock. I wasn't expecting this, but I had hoped. I could hear everyone gasping.
"Harriet my love, I love you more than I can even say. Would you do me the greatest honour and become my wife?" Rick giddily asked. I knew my answer.
"Yes, Rick I will marry you," I excitedly said. He put the ring on my finger. So that is where he went to. He got me an engagement ring. I kissed him with so much passion.
"Yay mama," Teddy says. Carl is so happy, well, everyone is.
Dad walks up to me. "Sweetheart I am so happy for you. But I do think that you should marry as soon as possible. I know what Dumbledore is like," Dad says to me. I knew that he was right. I looked to Rick, and he agreed as well.
"Ok, then, dad. When do we get married?" I asked.
"How about today? I know that it is soon, but it will be a saver pup," Dad says.
"What do you think, Rick? Would you like to marry today?" I asked Rick. "Harriet my love, I would marry you this second," Rick said while smiling at me. I turned to my dad and told him we were getting married today.
Everyone was clapping and cheering. "Well, then let's get married. You're all invited," I said.
"Ok let's begin," Snape says.
Snape:
Have you come to offer yourselves to each other, freely and without reservation?" Snape says to us both.
We both agreed.
"Will you love and honour each other for life?" Snape asks us.
We both said yes.
"Will, you lovingly accept any children gifted do you from God, and bring them up accordingly?" Snape says.
We both said yes.
Rick:
"I, Rick Grimes, take you, Harriet Potter Black, to be my wife. I promise to be true to you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love and honour you all the days of my life." Rick placed the ring on my finger.
Harriet:
"I, Harriet Potter Black, take you, Rick Grimes, to be my husband. I promise to be true to you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love and honour you all the days of my life." I put the ring on his finger.
Snape:
"You have declared your consent before us all. May your bond be strong. I present to you, Rick and Harriet Potter Black Grimes."
Everyone was clapping and cheering. Dad wrapped me in his arms, and I was truly happy for the first time in a long time.
Dad took the kids while Rick and I had our wedding night.
BACK WITH DUMBLEDORE:
Gotcha Potter. "Ok, listen, they are on a farm that belongs to the Family Greene. So, let's get this over with," I told them. I am coming for you, Potter!
