Back to Hogwarts
Friday, January 3rd, 1992
Alex checked herself out in the mirror one last time. Her curly hair was being pulled back in a tight ponytail with a dark blue scrunchie. She had on pink stud earrings which matched her pink nails. You couldn't see much of her outfit as it was covered in winter gear. But, she was wearing a pink sweater featuring a black heart over top of a white tee-shirt. Otherwise, she had on thick blue jeans, light blue ankle socks, and brown ankle boots.
Alex pulled on the straps of her black backpack. She was so nervous. In just a couple of minutes her parents were driving her and her sister to the train station. The train left at 8:00, it always did. The only train ride that left at 11:00 was the beginning of year train ride. It left so late so that they could arrive at school just before dinner. But, the rest of the year you arrived at the school or station at 3:00.
Alex took a deep breath and left her room. It was a twenty minute drive, so they were leaving thirty minutes 'till 8:00. In other words, they were leaving right now at 7:30.
Alex didn't want to go back to school. Well, she did. She couldn't wait to see her friends, and have more United meetings, and have classes again. But, she was also terrified. What if everything changed? What if her friends didn't like her anymore? What is Gracie told someone about her suspicions?
Alex took another deep breath. Everything was going to be fine. It had to be.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alex ended up in a compartment with Kat, Damian, and Blaise. She and Blaise had the window seats, Kat was sitting next to Alex, and Damian was across from Kat. So many of Alex's fears were vanished immediately.
Her friends still liked her. They were all excited for United. Gracie had promised not to tell anyone right before they split up to sit with their friends.
Everything really was going to be okay.
The rest of the train ride was pretty uneventful. Te friends mostly just talked about their breaks. And their was a lot of good news.
Damian's parents accepted him and apologized for not believing him before. They weren't transphobic, they just feared that Damian wasn't serious. Which they admitted was unfair and was something that they needed to make up for.
Kat's father had turned in all of his dark objects ad admitted to everything that he had done in the past war. He wanted to be a better person for Kat and Hyperion. Thankfully he hadn't been arrested thanks to his memories proving that he had been forced into being a deatheater when he was a teenager and had no way to escape once he was an adult.
Blaise hadn't had any life changing moments, but he did enjoy a nice, quiet holiday with his family.
Alex had had a pretty good holiday herself, which she told the others. She did, however, leave out the bad moments. Such as the 19th and 29th.
Once they arrived at the school Alex went to her room and unpacked her stuff. She had been planing on spending the afternoon by herself, reading. But, that quickly went out the door at 4:00 when she heard a knock at her door.
