An idea

Alex flopped down on her bed. She was never more glad that she had her own room.

It was about 10 minutes since her conversation with Ron, and she wasn't sure what to do. She wanted to help the girl. But, how?

Alex remembered the Gay Straight Alliance clubs in the non-magical world. Her old school didn't have one. And Hogwarts obviously didn't.

Maybe she could do something like that. Except different. Any student could join, but it was primarily for Queer students. They could do some LGBT stuff like pride parades over summer break(with parent permission and some adults coming along for supervision). And some important stuff like petitions and protests. They could fight for stuff like gender-neutral dorms and bathrooms. But, mostly it would just be a place to hang out and have fun. To be yourself without worry.

She would need a name, a place to hold the meetings, a teachers approval, a way to advertise and more. Well it looked like she needed to get to work.

The teacher was easy Professor Snape would definitely support it.

What about a name? Alex thought for a while, and went through tons of acronyms before figuring out the right name. It was pretty basic, but it would work. United. It was the perfect name. It was short, easy to remember and say, and told the point of the clubs existence. Yes, United would work, nicely.

She could advertise through posters and word of mouth. Gracie and Kat were both huge art enthusiasts, so they would be a big help. And she knew her friends and sister knew plenty of people to tell.

They could have five meetings a week. People wouldn't have to go to all of them, but the more the better. They had to go to at least one a month, unless they had a viable excuse. The meetings would be from 5:00-7:00 P.M.. And they would happen on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. That should be good enough.

People, both in and out of the club, could donate. But, it wasn't necessary. And you didn't have to pay, or have a parents permission, to be in the club.

Now, all she needed was a place, and some help with advertising, and she could begin.
