Love who you love
Friday November 4th 1988(Just a reminder at this point in the story Alex and Gracie are eight while Mathias is two. Less important but Petunia and Vernon(assuming they're the same age) are 30)
The family of five were eating dinner. The youngest member of the family was being surprisingly quiet and the oldest two were chatting. As for the twins Gracie was teasing Alex over something that the rest of the family weren't privy to.
"What exactly are you two talking about?" Vernon asked about 10 minutes into the meal.
Alex answered first saying "Nothing!".
Gracie wasn't letting that get by however and said "Alex has a crush."
"Oh, really! Your first crush?" Petunia said.
"What's his name?" The father asked.
"Um...." was the only reply he received from Alex.
"Or is it a girl?" Vernon continued.
"Well...." The girl said.
Her sister however had no problem talking and said "Yes. It's a girl, and her name is Melinda!"
"Gracie, Shut up!"
"Melinda's a pretty name." Petunia said.
"Yeah" Vernon went on "Are you going to ask her out?".
"No. I don't think so. She probably won't say yes. I think she's straight anyway."
"Speaking of Sexuality" The mother started "What is your girls?".
"I'm Bi, I think." Alex answered first.
"Okay. That's fine. Vernon said "What about you, Grace?".
"I'm straight." The oldest child replied.
"That's also fine." Petunia said making sure her kids knew that something like their sexuality would never change how much she(or Vernon) loved them.
With that done the family went back to what they had been doing before.
