Chapter 23
Christmas came faster than I thought it would. It was a few days away and I still hadn’t bought Ron a gift yet. Well, I had an idea of what I wanted but I needed help from Ginny. I let Ron know that I was meeting her during lunch. I told him it was for a surprise, and he couldn’t ask questions. Ginny walked into the shop a few moments later.
“Blaise!”, I shouted. “I am heading out to lunch, I will be back in an hour”, I finished, grabbing my jacket and purse, and looping my arm through Ginny’s. We bundled close together against the cold December air. We shook off the cold as we removed our coats at the restaurant down the street.
“So”, Ginny began. “Tell me what you needed my help with”? Ginny asked as the waiter brought us over some waters. We placed our drink orders and began to look at the menu.
“Well, I was wondering if you were still in contact with the coach from the Cannon’s?”, I asked. Ginny nodded.
“Do you think… could you possibly get a poster or something signed from them?”, I asked hopefully. It was the off season, so I would have to hope they already had one signed. Ginny grinned at me.
“I can guarantee I can. Anything else?”, she asked with a grin.
“Well… I was hoping to get him season tickets, but I don’t think I can get them in time”, I said, handing over a wad of cash to her for the tickets.
“It’s a good thing I love you, you know”, she joked with me as the waiter came back to take our order. We spent the remaining time catching up and laughing. We ended lunch early so that I could pop in and say hi to Ron before returning to work. I gave him a brief kiss and hug before rushing out of the door and back to work. Ron stayed at work late and I decided to take a long bath while I waited.
“Well, isn’t this a nice view to come home to”, Ron said with a smirk. I looked up from my book and smiled at my boyfriend.
“You could always join me”, I said with a smirk. Ron smiled and began removing his clothes. Before he could finish, I pulled him down into the water with me. Water splashed over the side of the tub. He laughed as he peppered my face with kisses. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.
“I love you so much”, I said to him. He pulled back to look me in the eyes.
“I love you so much more”, he replied, kissing me gently on the lips.

Waking up on Christmas Eve felt like a dream. I looked out the window and saw snow, and a lot of it. I crawled back on the bed and began jumping.
“Wake up Ron! Wake up!”, I shouted, falling as he pulled me on top of him. He let out an oof before hugging me tight to him so that I couldn’t move. I tried to wiggle away. “Ron! Ron let me go!”, I laughed. He kissed my head before letting me go.
“It’s too early!”, he complained.
“It is never too early for Christmas. Besides, don't you want to get to Mum’s before all of the breakfast is gone?”, I asked. That got his attention, he sat up quickly. I laughed at him. We got dressed quickly and grabbed our bags that I had packed the night before. I grabbed Jynx, while Ron took the bags from me, and we headed out to the small car we owned. Due to the gifts and our luggage, we decided that it would be easier to drive. The roads were a little icy, so it took us a little longer to get to Mum’s. We walked into the warm house and were immediately greeted by hugs from various family members.
Apparently, we were one of the last ones to arrive. The twins were the first to hug me. As Fred moved out of the way, Bill was next for a hug, but I spied Charlie in the corner by the stairs.
“CHARLIE!!!”, I shouted, running over to him. I wrapped my arms around him as he swung me around in a circle.
“What are we?” George asked.
“It’s been months since she has seen me!”, Bill added.
“Aye… but there is only one Charlie mate”, Charlie laughed at them.
“If you weren’t already dating me, I’d be worried you would pick Charlie over all of us”, Ron said laughing. I walked over to him and kissed his nose.
“If I wasn’t dating you, Charlie would be next in line for sure”, I said with a wink. Laughing I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a plate. I began piling food on it and started to eat my breakfast, while the boys fought over who deserved my affections the most.
