Assistant's Stolen Grocery List
Summary
Prompt Fill: Assistant has quite a long shopping list full of questionable and illegal items. He faults it to Sir, because before their recent relationship Harry never would've had such a thing. This alone wouldn't have be a problem if his friends didn't get hold of said list.Thank those on discord for this wonderfully horrible Oneshot.
Note
So the prompt kind of got away from me a little bit, and the writing isn't the best but, this is more for me than anything.Have a good day or night!Hope you enjoy!-Alex

Harry didn’t believe himself to be very forgetful, given that Sir had taught Assistant techniques to strengthen his mental capacity. It had been useful for studying, events, and remembering where he had placed things. But, that hadn’t seemed to be helpful at the moment.

Harry had left Assistant’s grocery list from Sir in his room hidden under his keyboard, but after he came back from dinner he hadn’t been able to find it anywhere. It wasn’t that he wouldn’t remember the list, Occulmency could fix that, but the idea someone could have found it. Goodness, what if Molly found it? She would bring it to Dumbledore and oh fuck he’d be screwed.

Harry closed his eyes to try and settle his racing mind, but that didn’t help much. How would it? Some of the best items were highly questionable, and the worst was downright illegal. He blamed Sir, if he hadn’t offered the job, he would’ve never had something like this. Harry just sighed and ran a hand through his hair, half heartily wishing he had ignored Sir’s live streams. But Harry knew he wouldn’t trade being Assistant for the world.

Harry had asked Molly if she had been in his room, and finding that she hadn’t he asked a few others if they had, sighting he hadn’t been able to find something, which was true. The only person left he thought would go through his room was Hermione, so he knocked on her door and called out for her. There was a commotion in the room before the door was jerked open by a frazzled-looking Hermione. He saw Ron in the room as well and tried to look ashamed but he was too focused on the list and use to finding death eaters in compromising positions. Hermione gave an uneasy smile,

“H-Hey Harry!”

“Hey Hermione, sorry for, um, hem, interrupting anything, but have you been in my room recently?” Panic flashed across her face as she look over at Ron, who shook his head minutely with wide eyes. Harry observed that he had his hands behind his back, trying to hide something, and Harry had a good idea what.

“Uhm, Wh-Why do you ask?”

“I was looking for something I left in my room and I couldn’t find it, so I’ve been asking around, have you been in there?”

“I-I, well, I mean,” she looked from Harry to Ron to Harry again before seeming to find new resolve, “Take us with you.”

It was Harry’s turn to stammer, “Wait, wh-what?” Ron butted in as Hermione pulled Harry into the room.

“Hermione! What the hell?” She rolled her eyes, snatching the list from Ron and turning in on Harry.

“This is a list of groceries, some very illegal groceries at that, I mean, Human blood? Severed Human Tongues? I assume Professor Dumbledore gave it to you intending to somehow get rid of Profes- ahem, Him. While I don’t approve, I’d like to come with you to learn about these, items.” Hermione quickly added, “To know what to avoid, of course.”

This is going surprisingly well. Harry thought as he gave a small smile, “Of course.”

“No Hermione! This is horrible! I-I’m going to go tell Sirius and the rest of the order! A-And you can’t stop me!” Ron’s voice rose higher and higher as he spoke, not moving an inch, seemingly paralyzed.

“Of course Ron, you’re completely right.” the dark-haired wizard said, bringing out his wand behind his back, giving Hermione a warning look.

“Really?”

“Of course not.” The sleeping curse he’d sent Ron’s way struck true and he nearly hit the ground if it weren't for the levitation spell. Harry used said spell to levitate the redhead onto the nearest bed.

“Won’t someone come looking for him?” Hermione looked on curiously but without judgment, which honestly surprised him.

“It’s after dinner and it's Ron, I doubt it.”

“That’s… fair. Now what?”

“You find a black cloak and meet me in my room.”

“What?”

Harry smirked at the witch and raised an eyebrow, which oddly reminded Hermione of Professor Riddle. “You said you wanted to come with me, you think you can just walk into Knockturn without protecting your identity? Trust me ‘mione, you don't want that kind of attention.” Hermione watched him walk out of the room without a care in the world. She realized a few moments later that she still had the list and the reality of what had happened sunk in. It made her smile.

In his room, Assistant put on his hood over the rest of his completely black ensemble, waiting for the brunette witch to come in.

This is going to be an interesting trip. Was Assistant’s last thought before he heard Hermione call out to be let in.
