Raffle

Harry had been back at Hogwarts for a week. He had tried to enjoy his Yule holiday but Dumbledore, the Weasleys, Sirius, Remus, and many Order members seemed to believe they owned him and sent him letters, howlers, and presents with compulsions on them. He had hoped that being back at Hogwarts they might back off but they hadn't.

This morning was the worst. Molly Weasley sent another Howler and Umbridge decided to give him detention for it. She claimed it was his fault and that he needed to learn to respect others. The woman was going down. Dumbledore wasn't doing anything about her and it was time to end her career, permanently. Since it was Friday, he had potions. He was going to make sure Severus became aware of the detention and that tonight the woman got caught using a Blood Quill on a student.

"Harry, if Hermione was here she would do something," Weasley whined.

"She didn't do anything before and I don't see how it would be different." Dean was tired of listening to Weasley whine about his off and on again girlfriend. "When is her trial?"

"Next month. Her family hired a barrister but Dumbledore said the problem is her willingly admitting it when she was arrested." Ginny had been full of anything worthy of mentioning when it came to Granger. Molly Weasley wasn't known for being quiet.

Weasley's biggest issue wasn't Granger being charged with a crime. It was because she wasn't present to do his assignments over Yule or this week. Weasley was a slacker and lazy. Harry had been able to get his assignments finished as well as getting everything done during this week. Mostly because Weasley was still pissed at him about the raffle. Harry was sure Weasley's newfound friendliness was because of Dumbledore. He didn't want his main pawn to escape. "Potions." Harry stood up and left the Great Hall before Weasley was finished chewing his full mouth. It was why Harry waited to announce his leaving.

Harry waited by the door as the other students arrived. Draco looked down at his hand. Harry nodded. Draco had been shocked to discover what Umbridge was doing to the students. Harry slipped Draco a note. It said to get Lucius tonight for detention. Harry informed Severus after the class ended.

Friday night:

Harry was eagerly looking to detention tonight. He didn't tell anyone else what his plan was for fear of Dumbledore discovering the information. There was no way the old fart didn't know there was a Blood Quill in the school and that the students were being subjected to it. He wasn't sure what Dumbledore's plan was but he wasn't going to permit students to be tortured for Dumbledore's greater good.

Umbridge was sitting behind her desk with an annoying smirk on her face. The kitten plates were meowing and Umbridge continued to stir the spoon in her cup of tea. Harry had wanted to shove that spoon down the woman's throat so many times. "Potter, sit. You know what you are to write." She indicated the waiting quill and parchment.

Harry glared at her. He picked up the quill inspecting it to make sure it was the same quill. He wrote I on the parchment and felt the burn in his hand. He turned around and walked out of her office, slamming the door, and using parselmagic to seal the door. He leaned against the wall waiting for Severus and Lucius to arrive.

Lucius and Severus arrived several minutes later with Madam Bones. "Harry?" Lucius was wondering why the boy was standing in the hall.

"She is in there. This is the quill." Harry held up his hand. "It is usually bleeding. She makes us write with the quill for several hours. I am not the only student." He held out the quill.

"I see." Madam Bones took the quill. She inspected it. "How many students?"

"Anyone who isn't a pureblood or has a parent who works in the Ministry. I have a list." Harry reached into his satchel and removed a rolled-up piece of parchment paper. "Here is the list. I went to McGonagall but was told to just keep my head down. She didn't even give me a chance to inform her of why I was complaining about the detentions."

Madam Bones sent a Patronus off requesting several Aurors to come to Hogwarts. "Could you provide memories of the detentions?"

"Yes, several of them. I have the door sealed by parselmagic as I didn't want to take a chance on her memory charming me. I know she had to do something to the students since we couldn't talk about it unless you were in the school or were aware of the quill." Harry had tested the theory as he had tried to tell Voldemort and Lucius and ended up showing them his hand instead. He could tell Severus once they were at Hogwarts.

"I will have some ward breakers check for the wards. Dumbledore?" Madam Bones pulled out a recording orb. "For me to use for notes."

"Beyond seeing me regarding the raffle or writing letters demanding me to go and file for a change of guardianship, nothing. He hasn't spoken to me. He refused to see me until the raffle was announced."

"I saw the educational decrees, when did those start?" Madam Bones wasn't liking what she was hearing. Susan had tried to inform her of what was happening at Hogwarts but hadn't been able to provide any evidence.

"As soon as she started here. She informed us at the beginning of the term how the Ministry was going to make sure we obeyed them. I am sure I am not the only one who can provide the memory of her opening speech and each time she addressed us in class. She refused to allow us to use magic and read a book designed for four-year-olds. I am still trying to figure out how someone who didn't get their NEWT in DADA can teach it."

Lucius coughed a bit as Severus hid his smirk. Harry was burying Umbridge and wasn't lying. The team of Aurors arrived. "Harry, if you would please remove the wards so they can arrest her."

"Couldn't she just remain in there and use the quill? She certainly scarred enough students with it." Harry pulled out his wand and removed the spell.

Umbridge fell to the floor as one of the Aurors opened the door. She started screaming as soon as she hit the floor. "I am going to have you arrested! I am going to see you sent to Azkaban and the Dementors won't miss this time." Umbridge finally was able to turn over so she could get off the floor.

Harry thought the woman was like a turtle in her attempts to turn over and get up from the floor. He was going to remember the shock on her face seeing the Aurors and Madam Bones with the recording orb in the hall. The Ministry was run by idiots. "You are under arrest Dolores for attempted murder, filing false charges, the illegal use of a blood quill on students, abuse of children, and anything else I discover since I will be able to investigate the dementor attack in Little Whinging."

"Two cases of attempted murder. My cousin was with me." Harry helpfully added as Umbridge was placed in cuffs. "I want the illegal use of magic wiped off my record as well as the one in my second year because a house elf dumped a cake on my uncle's head."

"I will look into removing those incidents." Madam Bones almost danced at the news. She would be able to get Umbridge out of the Ministry and keep the woman from creating bills for removing creature rights and registries for creatures. "Thompson, escort her to a holding cell. Ericks, Lague, and McKinnon we have several students we need to interview. Lucius, if you would please act as the legal representative for the students while Severus acts as the Hogwarts' representative, I would appreciate it."

"Certainly." Lucius was thankful Harry wasn't after him or the Dark Lord.

"I will gladly assist." Severus glanced at the boy. Who knew the power he knows not was using people's stupidity against them?

"Potter, I need a medical report as well. Hendricks can escort you to St. Mungos. Hendricks, warn them we will have several students who will need to be checked and I want a copy of the results."

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Couldn't we use Madam Pomfrey?" Harry had never had anyone examine him but Madam Pomfrey.

"She isn't a healer, she is just a mediwitch so she can't certify her results nor would her scans provide enough details." Madam Bones took the recording orb and placed it in her pocket. "Do not let anyone remove the memories unless I am present. Gentlemen?"

"I believe we can interview the students in one of the unused classrooms down in the dungeons. There are no portraits there." Severus suggested.

"Excellent."

Harry was escorted away as they finalized the way to handle the students. He didn't care as long as Umbridge was punished for her deeds. If Dumbledore got into trouble it was just icing on the cake. He was going to make Dumbledore pay for what Dumbledore permitted to happen to him. Next on his list were his relatives and Mrs. Figg. He wanted to remove any support Dumbledore had before destroying the man.
