Chiron Wants Us to Fight in Another War

Percy and I were enjoying a lovely date near the beach.

He had brought some wonderful food for our picnic.

Percy was currently playing with the dolphins like a little child. I watched him from the shore as he splashed around.

After playing around for a bit, he came back pouting.

“What happened?” I asked laughing at his cute expression.

“All the dolphins left.” He said.

“It’s ok Seaweed Brain. I won't leave you. Come here.”

As soon as he came, she grabbed him and kissed him.

“Is it better now?”

“You always make it better.”

And then, he pulled me in for another kiss.

“OMG!! You both are so cute.” An Aphrodite girl squealed from behind us.

We both blushed at being caught in mid-kiss.

“I hate to break you both apart, but Chiron requested you.”

“I didn’t want to replace the Ares cabin’s shampoo with glue. I promise. The Stoll’s made me.” Percy cried out.

“You did WHAT?!” Clarisse screamed.

“Ooh, you better get running.” The girl said.

And that’s exactly what Percy did.

Thalia had just killed 3 hellhounds with her bow.

Walking back to camp, she met Phoebe on the way.

“Hey.”

“Hello, Phoebe.”

“Lady Artemis requests your presence. Meet her in her tent.”

“Okay. I shall go and see her immediately.”

Reaching Artemis’s tent, she walked in. She saw her Lady waiting for her.

“My Lady, you asked for me?”

“Yes, Thalia. Chiron requires you at Camp Half-Blood for a quest.” Artemis knew she hated her last name and didn’t use it.

“Why am I need for a quest? I am a hunter, not a camper.”

“Chiron will explain everything to you. Hold on to me and I’ll take you to Camp.”

Holding on to Artemis, they teleported or something to the camp.

She wished she could do that. Gods had the best powers. Not that she would admit that out loud.

She walked to the Big House, wondering what quest she would be needed for.

Grover was relaxing after a long week. He had just brought in a new demigod.

Her name was Grelia. She was a daughter of Hebe, the goddess of eternal youth. He had to fight a few empousai to bring her here.

Just then, Dylan who was a young satyr came running up to him panting.

“Chiron had requested your presence in the Big House.”

“Why?”

“I dunno. He didn't tell me that. You go and ask him.”

“Ugh. Fine. I'm going.” Grover grumbled.

Couldn’t he have a break? Chiron probably wanted him to go track down another demigod.

He was technically the Lord of the Wild, but he wanted to help as many demigods as possible.

Getting up, he walked to the Big House.

Rachel was painting in her cave. She liked her cave much more than the attic where the old oracle of Delphi lived. Her cave was much less creepy than the attic in the Big House.

Rachel got a feeling that she was needed at the Big House.

Before hosting the spirit of the Oracle of Delphi, she would have ignored such a feeling but now, she knew to trust her instincts.

So, she started the walk toward the Big House.

Nico was helping design the Hades cabin. It had been a month or so after the final battle with Kronos, but the new Hades cabin hadn’t been finished yet, mostly because Nico was too busy to design the cabin.

The Athena kids were great at designing what he wanted.

A demigod who Nico recognized as a Morpheus kid came running up to him.

“Chiron wants you in the Big House.”

“Ok, going there,” Nico said before shadow travelling there.

Chiron waited for all the demigods to show up.

Annabeth arrived first and asked, “Why did you call Percy and me here?”

“I will tell you in a bit. Let the others arrive.”

“Others? Is this a quest?”

Ignoring her question, he asked “Where is Percy? I called you both together.”

“He’s being chased by Clarisse.”

“What did he do this time?”

“Replaced the Ares cabin’s shampoo with glue.”

“Ahh.”

Then, Thalia and Grover walked in.

“What’s this quest you want me on?” Thaila demanded.

“Why’d you call me?” Grover asked at the same time.

“I shall explain later,” Chiron said mysteriously.

“You’re on this mysterious quest as well?” Annabeth asked.
“Yeah. You too?”

“Both Percy and I.”

“Am I going to be part of this quest or not?” Rachel asked from behind.

“You were called as well?”

“No, I had this feeling that I needed to be here”

“Your feeling, as you call it, is correct. Although, I sent Wera to call you.”

Nico shadow travelled in, scaring the crap out of Rachel ad Grover.

“Ahh! Where did you come from?”

“From the shadows of course.”

The door banged open, and Percy came running in, screaming at the top of his lungs.

He hid behind Annabeth.

“Save me, Wise Girl. Clarisse is going to kill me.”

Percy might have stood up to Kronos himself, but he was fucking scared of an angry Clarisse

“I’ll kill you and then rip your heart out!” Clarisse screamed.

“I think that’s enough,” Chiron said. “I’ll punish him myself.”

“Fine,” Clarisse grumbled, leaving the Big House.

“What did you do to make her so angry, Water Boy.”

“He replaced the Ares cabins shampoo with glue,” Annabeth informed them.

“Good one,” Thalia said, laughing.

“Thalia, you should not be encouraging him. He plays too many pranks as it is, without you encouraging him.” Chiron told her.

“Fine, fine.”

“I called you here for a quest,” Chiron informed the demigods (and Rachel) in the room.

There were varying reactions from everyone.

Thalia, Rachel and Annabeth weren’t surprised, seeing as they already knew.

Percy and Grover groaned.

Nico seemed quite surprised.

“Not another quest. We just finished a war.” Percy protested.

“I’m just a satyr. I don’t want to go on a quest. Quests are stressful.” Grover complained.

“I’m a mortal. You want me on your quest?” Rachel asked, surprised.

“What do you need me for on your quest?” Nico asked.

“Calm down, calm down. I know you went just went through a war and no one is forcing you to come on this quest. Just know that if you do, you will help save hundreds of lives.” Chiron told them all.

“What is this quest?” Annabeth asked.

“You see, demigods and gods aren’t the only magical beings. There are wizards and witches.”

“Like the ones in movies, who wave their magic wands and say hocus pocus and do magic,” Percy asked.

“Not exactly, but close.”

“Like Hecate’s children?” Annabeth asked.

“Yes. They are very similar to the children of Hecate, only they need wands to do magic as Percy said. Many children of Hecate live in the wizarding world. They are more powerful than normal witches and wizards.”

“What has this got to do with us?” Thalia asked.

“You see, there is a war in the British wizarding world. Tom Riddle, one of Hecate’s legacy’s, is attacking the wizarding world. He goes by Voldemort and wants to kill all the mortals, known as muggles in the wizarding world, and muggle-born, children of mortals who have magic.”

“I still don’t see how we’re involved,” Thalia said.

“I’m coming to that. A child of Hecate, whose name is Albus Dumbledore, is fighting against Voldemort. But, he and his group, The Order of The Phoenix, will not be able to defeat Voldemort and his army, known as Death Eaters.”

“That’s a horrible name.” Nico protested. “Why would anyone want to eat my father?”

“Let me guess, you want us to help them fight the war against this ’Voldy’ guy,” Percy asked.

“Precisely.”

“I just fought a war and now you want me to fight in another one!” Percy yelled.

“I know you are angry but try to understand. You could save many lives.”

“I don’t want to understand! I want to live a peaceful life!”

“You’ll never get that as a demigod.”

“I can try!”

“Please Percy. Consider it.”

Annabeth whispered comforting words to Percy.

“Seaweed Brain, I know you don’t want to, neither do I, but we’ll save people’s life. Please think about it. For me.” Annabeth silently pleaded to Percy.

“Fine. I’ll do this damn quest. Only for you Wise Girl.”

“And one more thing, to better understand each other, we will read about some of the wizard's experiences, and they will read about some of ours.”

“How? It’s not like there are books on us.” Rachel said.

“There is a special charm that allows some person’s memories to be turned into a book.”

“With chapters and all?”

“Yes.”

“Whose memories will we read about?” Nico asked.

“We’ll find out when we get there.”

“Whose memories will they read about?” Nico asked.

“I was hoping Percy would volunteer some memories, seeing as he went through the most.”

Everyone turned to Percy.

“Fine.”

“Well then, what are we waiting for? Let’s go.” Chiron said.

“How? We don’t have any transportation to go from here to Britain.” Grover asked.

“We’ll go by phoenix.”

“But they’re super rare,” Annabeth exclaimed.

“My friend Albus has one that should be coming any moment now to come to pick us up.”

“The child of Hecate who fought against Voldy?” Percy asked.

“Yes, that Albus Dumbledore.”

With a flash of fire, a bright red bird appeared.

“Hello, Fawkes.” Chiron greeted the bird. “This is Fawkes, the phoenix.”

Everyone said their hellos.

“Hold on to Fawkes everyone,” Chiron instructed.

When everyone did just that, Fawkes flashed off.
