That Fateful Halloween Night (And How It Was Changed)

We all know how the original plot of Harry Potter goes, right. Well, let’s shake it up a bit.

Halloween of 1981 was a happy time for James Potter. He had just recently celebrated the first Halloween of Canis Romulus Lupin, the son of Sirius and Remus Lupin. Hadrian and Damien were starting to talk full sentences, they were very advanced for their age. However, that peace surrounding the Potter home would soon change.

You see, Lord Voldemort or Thomas Marvelo Riddle wasn’t after the Potters. He was currently at Malfoy Manor gushing over his godson with one of his fiancees, Severus Snape. They weren’t anywhere near the Potters that night except after the destruction had already taken place. Albus Too Many Goddamned Names Dumbledore was the one after James and his sons as a favor for his smartest supporter, Lily Evans. She had come to Potter Manor previously to beg James for forgiveness and to take her and Delilah back. He wouldn’t do it. So, she plotted and asked Albus to take revenge for her.

James Potter was just putting the twins to bed after the departure of his friends and their son when the wards chimed to let him know that someone was at the door. He checked and saw that it was Albus. He growled slightly to himself and walked out towards him.

“Albus. What do you need?”

“James, my boy. Why’d you leave Miss Evans?”

“Oh, she didn’t tell you? Oh, well, I’m not in the habit of forcing my sons to lose their manhoods at birth.”

“I’m sure it was all a simple misunderstanding, my boy. Come on, let’s talk inside.”

“No, Albus. I will not be taking her back and she might as well as move on. I know that I have. It’s been nearly 16 months already. She needs to let this go.”

“My boy, if you’d just hear her out, I’m su-”

“I said No, already. Leave my property, Headmaster.”

“Well, then, you leave me with little choice. Stupify!”

“Spells don’t work while I’m in the wards, Headmaster.”

“Of course, my boy.”

“Good day, Dumbledore.”

James walked into the house and continued to get ready for bed.

This All Hallow’s Eve was a sign. Things will only continue to get worse from here and Albus truly has no idea what he’s doing when he messes with me.

You see, you don’t threaten a fiancee of the Dark Lord and come out unscathed. Albus is truly, royally fucked.
