Released
It had been a few weeks since my sit down with the band. They were set to release the first song of the album anytime. That’s how I ended up here the three boys gathered in my Livingroom waiting. I had Teddy in my lap, peter on one side, Sirius on the other.
“I’m so nervous,” Peter said.
“I think we're all nervous Pete,” James said. James and Lily were sat all close and cozy with Harry in the floor Infront of them.
“You know what we need Booze,” Sirius said “Have any?”
“Play,” Teddy said pointing to Harry. So, I put him down.
“Do we look like we get much time to ourselves Black,” Lily said “at the end of the night we just want to go to sleep.”
“I’ve never heard truer words have ever been spoken,” I said.
“Plus, I know how both you and Remus get when your drunk I don’t want to hear either of you crying in the morning,” she said.
“Rude,” I said.
“You wouldn’t think it but this guy had a hoe stage,” Lily said.
“No way him,” Sirius said looking me up and down.
“Yes, him you should have seen him,” Lily said.
“It was three people,” I said.
“Three people that you were seeing at the same time,” she said.
“They knew I didn’t want a relationship,” I said.
“Apparently not Remus Jason Literally called you a heartless monster,” she said.
“I don’t know what you want me to say,” I said wishing I could just sink into the couch “I was drunk.”
“I know that’s why no booze for you,” she said.
“I have Teddy right now,” I said pointing to my son as if to prove a point “so I wouldn’t want to drink anyways.”
“I don’t know If I believe he could ever do something like that,” James said “he just look’s so.” It was like he was trying to come up with the right words and it just wasn’t happening.
“I could see it he’s hot,” Sirius said I started to blush.
“Yep, absolutely no booze for you two,” Lily said.
“Guys,” Peter said then suddenly music filled the room.
“We did it,” Sirius said and, in his excitement, grabbed my arm. We all got really quiet while listening to it.
“Oh my god that’s amazing,” Lily said. It seemed like everyone was so excited except me. It wasn’t like the song wasn’t bad I was happy about the song. But everything had happened so fast I just needed a minuet so I made my way out to our back porch. I pulled out my cigarettes I hardly smoked anymore I rather not having Teddy breathing the smoke in. But from time to time I really needed a smoke and now was one of those times. I walked past the cheap lawn chairs we had, instead sitting on the steps.
“Mind if I bum one,” I looked over just in time to see Sirius plop down beside me.
“Sure,” I pulled one out he placed It between his lips and I lit it up. It was a moment that shouldn’t have seemed intimate. But as I looked at Sirius, I couldn’t help but get lost in his eyes a little bit. His eyes were beautiful to me. Everything about him was attractive. If you were to describe him to me, I wouldn’t have believed he was real.
“I’ll send you a picture later,” he said.
“What why,” I asked.
“Because pictures last longer figured you might need one,” he said winking.
“Definitely shouldn’t get drunk together,” I mumbled.
“That’s something I’d like to see drunk Remus,” he said the back door opened.
“Pete’s going to get beer anything special Remus,” James yelled out the door.
“No, I don’t think I’ll be drinking,” I said James walked back in.
“The moon is beautiful tonight it’s a full moon,” he said he was leaned back his arms on the step behind him.
“It is,” I said. It got silent after not the awkward type of silence but I still want to break the silence.
“Not all full moons are the same size. Their size varies depending on whether the moon is farther away apogee or closer perigee. The moon is generally 14 percent bigger when at its Perigee.”
Sirius started to laugh “did you just hit me with a moon fact.”
“Sorry I do that time to time,” I said trying to hide the blush on my face with my hands.
“Do you know a lot,” he said.
“A lot of what,” I asked.
“Moon facts,” He replied.
“It used to fascinate me,” I replied.
“Moony it is then, that’s your nickname.”
“What,” I asked.
“The band we all have nicknames as our official song writer you need one as well,” he said.
“Well, what’s yours,” I asked.
“Padfoot,” he said.
“Why,” I asked.
“Well, when we were in our teen’s we took this quiz. To find out our spirit animals,” Sirius said looking me dead in the eyes “Mine was the dog hence padfoot. Peters was a rat we call him Wormtail. James’s was a deer hence Prongs.”
“I can see that,” I said “We should go back in before Lily thinks were making out.”
“We could be,” he said winking again. I covered my face again only for my hand to be pulled off as Sirius struggled to pull me from my seat.
“Daddy,” I was immediately met with two sets of tiny little chubby arms and legs around my legs as if I left and came back to two koalas’.
“Lil’s have you seen Teddy and Harry I was really hoping for hugs when I came in,” I said walking forward with the kids hanging onto my legs giggling.
“I have no clue now that you said something I’m in terrible need of a Harry hug,” she said trying to hold a giggle in.
“Mommy I’m here,” Harry yelled rushing to her with his arms open she met him with a hug.
“Daddy Hug,” Teddy said looking up with a small pout I lifted him up placing kisses on his face.
“Guess what Teddy,” I said.
“What,” he asked
“Bedtime,” I said.
“You too Harry,” Lily said.
