Before logging on to ALO, Kirito actually does some research about the different classes and sees that Cait Sith actually enhances most, if not all of his skill set and is just a better choice overall. He chooses Cait Sith instead of Spriggan and gets a rare black furred avatar (yes I said fur instead of hair, they have cat ears and tails and those have fur so shut up). Oh yeah, and Cait Sith are even more cat like than in the anime (in this au they fricken PURR! =^•ɯ•^=)

Genderbend AU
Ever since the Midnight Black Cats got killed in SAO, Kiriko hasn’t joined any guild or party in any game. So when she gets a party invite in GGO, she very cautiously accepts it… only to have them betray her. They viewed her as a cute girl who doesn’t have a care in the world. So when they have her held at gun point, the last thing they were expecting was for her to break down in tears sobbing about how guilds are horrible things, first in SAO, and now in GGO.

SAO2, except when Sinon and Kirito were in the change room, instead of freaking out, kirito just sat down and equipped his gear calmly… and Sinon is just standing there horrified at the realization that the ‘girl’ she was showing the ropes to was actually a dude.

When Asuna met Kiriko, the last thing she was expecting was for the shy, quiet girl to be one of SAOs most powerful players. Eventually, when they beat the game, she discovers that her dark haired friend is mute. Klein was also surprised to see that… that doesn’t stop ‘em from having a blast though.

Kirito invited his friends over to GGO but didn’t tell them about his new style. So when Klein asks out this adorable black haired girl (aka kirito) on a date, he decides to screw with him and plays along. Eventually Asuna figures out exactly what her boyfriends been doing and doesn’t know whether to laugh or yell at him… she also learns that he can crossdress like a boss so that’s new.

Femboy reader insert
Y/N was in charge of avatar modelling in GGO. And since the design team won’t let him add a couple masculinity/femininity sliders for avatar creation (one for what you identify as, and one for what you want your physical appearance to lean towards), he’s going to make a more feminine avatar for boys. Of course it’s stupidly rare because he made it more for himself than anything, but still, the M9000 is his best creation and he’s very proud of it. After a couple years, Y/N decided to make a GGO2: an upgraded version of GGO with more weapons and aesthetic customization, slightly more control over your appearance (height etc.) and more inclusiveness towards non binary people and femboys. When GGO2 sales start skyrocketing, Y/N is very happy to see that the reviews on the game show that people who couldn’t get an avatar they were happy with in GGO because they either had to pick ‘male’ or ‘female’, or had there preferred aesthetic not line up with the ridiculous stereotypes that their gender has, are now able to get the avatar of their dreams. When Kirito and his friends buy it, they see that you have the option to convert the money and items you gained in the first GGO and transfer them into GGO2 so you don’t have to start from scratch. They do this, and holy crap are they happy that they don’t have to start from the ground up. Kirito, for once, doesn’t start over from the ground up because photon swords are insanely expensive… and apparently have two colour wheels for the colour of the blade along with the handle instead of the incredibly limiting 11 colours in the original GGO. When Asuna drags someone claiming to be the creator of the game towards her friends, Kleins first reaction is to ask out this super cute girl… only to get corrected by the femboy and learn that the ‘cute girl’ he just asked out was Y/N L/N, who is not only male, but also the creator of GGO2 and the M9000 model from GGO1. Y/N never turned the date down though, so who knows, maybe Klein’ll have a bisexual awakening (like Asuna did when she saw Kiritos avatar in GGO1 for the first time) and take Y/N out to some place nice.

Asuna has gotten answers to a lot of her questions recently. Now she knows why her boyfriend started growing out his hair… and may or may not be in denial about being a femboy at times. But now she has a new question: WHY DOES HIS GGO AVATAR HAVE TO LOOK SO GOD DAMN ADORABLE!?! And why does he get hit on by practically everyone around him? And look better than her in a skirt?!
