Prompt: You're mine
It had been 5 years since the curse. 5 years spent researching only to find no way of bringing back her husband’s memories, but Hermione would not give up.
As she ladled out the latest potion into a vial, she tried and failed to temper her expectation that this would work.
Turning to Draco, she reached out to stroke his hand, only for him to recoil at her touch.
“Malfoy, the latest potion is ready,” she began gently.
A scoff and a wave of his hand was his only response as he grabbed the vial and chugged it quickly.
She watched as the tremors skated down his body and he dropped his head in his hands.
The disappointment roared in her ears and hot tears flowed down her face.
Shaking her head, she took a shaky breath, “I will begin on the nex-”
A strong hand grasped her by the wrist.
“Hermione.”
Her given name rooted her to the spot as she peered up at him.
“You- you know who I am?” Hermione whispered, her heart pounding in her chest.
Draco’s grey eyes shone as he stroked her cheek, smiling at her fondly.
“You’re Hermione Granger and you’re mine.”
