Chapter 33
Prompt: Unbreakable Vow
Draco walked into the kitchen to see his wife sitting at the counter, studying the empty wine bottle as though it were ancient runes.Clearing his throat so as to not startle her, Draco strode across the kitchen stooping low to kiss her on top of her head. Hermione nuzzled into his chest and swayed on her stool, clearly that had begun as a full bottle.
“Is everything alright, love?” questioned Draco, anxiety beginning to rise.
Hermione let out a sharp laugh, “Do you know what I found when I walked into the library today? Your daughters convincing Scorp to make an unbreakable vow that he would never disagree with them again.”
Draco bit back a surge of pride over the cunningness of the twins; they were only 5 but they were a force to be reckoned with. Angered by Draco’s silence, Hermione continued, “HE COULD HAVE DIED DRACO.”
It was times like these that Draco forgot Hermione didn’t grow up with magic. “Granger, an adult needs to be the one to bind the bond. Imagine the chaos if children could do it; I would bet the Malfoy vaults that the Weasel wouldn’t have even made it out of toddlerhood.”
Hermione stilled and then paled, “Oh merlin - I have to get to the kids. I’ve had them grounded all day until we could talk and figure out how to fix this!”
