Story idea's up for adoption [prompts]

This can be Neji x Naruto or whatever, it's up to you.

Neji dies in Naruto's arms and finds himself in this childhood again. Maybe he was sent to the past as a gift or last chance, maybe it's an unknown side effect of the seal on his forehead.

You decide if he goes back far enough to save his dad via catching the kidnapper or not. In going to write the idea as if he arrives just after his father died.

While Neji does not hold hatred for his uncle there is still dislike, his hate is more towards the main branch elders.

He spends more time outside the clan compound, training alone, and runs into Naruto. Neji decides to befriend him early in the hopes of preventing his future obsession with Sasuke.

Neji ends up helping Naruto learn properly, reading writing fighting all of it. Neji even brings old text books to show him what is publicly known about the Uzumaki clan and their abilities. This causes Naruto to do his best to learn all about sealing, though having the goal of freeing his friend from that stupid brand on his forehead is a very good motivator....not that Neji is aware of this goal.

Naruto ends up finding out about Kurama early via meditation practice, cue Neji promising Naruto that he does not care about his fuzzy problem and that everyone else is very stupid. It takes a few years but Naruto does befriend kurama and ends up with a new fluffy teacher.

Naruto is still his extrovert self but not as in your face as before. He struggles to learn but uses techniques he and neji came up with to help. [ADHD techniques?]

Neji, knowing about Root and the crimes covered up by the village may not be so loyal to it, loyal to people yes but the village itself? Not so much. This mindset has transferred to Naruto, who now notices the manipulation being used and more. His dream is on Rocky ground as he wonders if being a ninja was actually his choice or if he was made to believe such.

Neji graduates and team gai sometimes has a blonde Vistor pop up to hang out with Neji, much to their shock.

Kakashi doesn't know what to do with the fangirl, the traumatized avenger, and the weary blonde and none of the childcare books he bought are of any help.

Chuunin exams are a mix of same and different, people fight different opponents, there are different winners due to butterfly effect.

Naruto and Gaara still have their fight and talk no jutsu [future gaara x Naruto x neji mayhaps?]

Naruto kinda befriends team seven but not really? It's more like work friends than friend friends since they don't take him seriously and he's tired of it.

Kakashi would like a refund on the kids he got, please they need therapy and the fact that he's the one saying it is NOT good.

Naruto finds jiraiya irritating but how else is he going to learn seals. [The rasegan is nice but dammit perv he said he wanted seals!!]

Does Sasuke still fuck off? Maybe. Does Sakura try to get Naruto to promise to bring him back? Yeah. Does he promise? Hell no, Neji is giving him the death stare and he is NOT testing his friends patience today.

Neji compiling evidence of Root and Danzo to give to Tsunade and her doing something about it.

Sai's brother not dying due to timing of Root being dismantled.

Neji's uncle does not see the orange clothed boy who has been sneaking in to see Neji all these years, no he does not <-Sarcasim
he lies to the elders when they bitch about it.

Naruto figuring out the seal and taking it off Neji as a birthday present without telling him what he was doing.

Cue neji's panicked joy as he cries while hugging Naruto.

Branch members noticing and being like "aye yo hold up, can we get that done?!"

Almost, or full blown, civil war between branch and main lines once the seals are gone.

Naruto smiling the whole time like "yes, burn the old farts to the ground"

Kurama realizing he rubbed off on Naruto a bit too much because damn, they deserve it though.

Neji watching it all like "I can't believe you've done this. Also I love my friend"

Gaara showing up with his sibs for a mission that let them visit the leaf being like "...I don't understand what is happening right now."

Jiraiya not understanding why Naruto doesn't like him, everyone and their mother shouting that if he taught him what he asked then he might like him.

Kakashi would like to get off this ride
