Story idea's up for adoption [prompts]

Time travel but Micheal Afton doesn't fully remember at the start.
Set before all the bad shit happened
William being a semi okay dad, he's still fucked up and can't communicate emotions well but he loves his kids in this fic
People are gonna be outta character most like but I don't care, you can write it how you like I'm just throwing the idea out there. This refused to leave my head until I wrote it and I don't know enough about this series to feel comfortable attempting to write this story

Okay so William and his wife are divorcing, or are about to lean towards getting one, Mike bullied his brother Evan during this because he needed an outlet for his emotions over that and let's be real, no one in this family has good mental health.

It starts off with Mike waking from a dream about fire and screams. His emotions are different than normal, he doesn't understand why he feels like sobbing when seeing his family but he hides it well.

His bullying of his siblings leans more towards normal teasing as siblings do now. His softer side shows to them but with his father he is cold.

William doesn't notice at first but when he does it throws him off.

At least a few days passes during this time (amount of days equal to that of kids future Afton killed?)
Mikael becomes distant with the friends who would be the other bullies in the future. His drawings increase in skill and show some future animatronics.

There is a shouting match between Mike and William which basically boils down to Mike saying William doesn't love any of them/only loves their sister/doesn't love Mike and that Mike is tired of trying to earn his love.

In this fic while original timeline Afton did feel that way, did wasn't always that way. Past Afton loves all his kids but is emotionally constipated out the wazoo (and not fully mentally stable)

William gets no chance to rebut Mike's accusations because Mike runs out of the house (it's a school day, the younger siblings get driven to school by their mom and William thinks Mike will walk to school and that he needs time to cool off)

Problem is...Micheal doesn't come home.

Police arrive after the family calls and they find out someone else had called them first....

Someone saw Micheal get attacked and taken away in a car.

It's during the attack that Micheal fully remembers the future he lived and realizes that he's got to escape and stop his dad from killing anyone.
Mike's kidnapper actually hurt Mike pretty badly before tossing him into the trunk.

So Yay Mike has slightly less horrifying version of the scoop wounds now, no organs ripped out just long jagged cut from chest to navel. He's lucky he hasn't bled out already.

His kidnapper can be whomever you choose, future character, OC, random character who caused the time travel and the kidnapping in a double ploy to change William using trauma. Up to you.

At least a week passes with the police getting fuck all done, William's blood is boiling right now and the kids are trying to keep it together.

Either way Micheal wastes no time in bolting when given the chance. Now Micheal is wounded, on the run from his kidnapper, and maybe runs into a familiar face he met in the future who's definitely willing to help Mike out.

Back with the rest of the Aftons, and Emily family, everyone is distraught.
The kids are worried and emotional over Mike. Henry is trying to comfort his friend. Williams wife has disassociated from the shock.
And William? William is fully planning to murder his sons kidnapper and apologize to his kids because he really is a shit father.

Security footage from nearby store caught the kidnapping on camera, Police think they may have accidentally traumatized the child's father because they didn't notice William was in the room while they watched it.

William is in full blown panic because his boy is hurt and might be dead in an alley somewhere or worse.

His blood lust is also rising.

William may or may not have bugged the police station in order to hear each and every tip they get.
This is how he hears about a witness seeing, what could be, Mike escape...wounded but alive and away from his kidnapper in the nearby city.

Henry has an idea as to what the look in Williams eyes means when the kids get dropped off to him. Henry wouldn't blame him for going out on his own with how little the police have actually done to find Micheal. If Henry didn't have to stay for the kids, since Williams wife is just...empty right now, he'd be out there looking too.

William and his car filled with hidden weapons being like "I JUST wanna talk to him. I just wanna talk"

The police are either lazy, keep getting to the right ideas too late, or both.

Mike's wounds possibly getting infected to the point where he's seeing illusions of the future. Causing him to get caught by his kidnapper.

William running into the person who was helping Mike and finding out his son got grabbed again.

Or him just being close enough to see it happen but far enough away to not make it in time.

William losing his shit when he finds them and see's his kid in bloody bandages, glossy eyed, and so out of it he doesn't know what's going on.

Maybe William killed the kidnapper, maybe they escaped, maybe he just beat them black and blue before noise from Mike snapped him out of it.

Either way Mike is so out of it that it's legit scaring William. There are muttered Apologies, kisses to the forehead, hugging/being held
Every. Single. Flinch made by Mike at these actions are like stabs to William's shriveled heart.

Mike starts ramble about future events but he's barely understandable due to how out of it he is. William thinks it's stuff the kidnapper told/threatened Mike with (because of Mike muttering about Freddy biting Evans head and something about dead kids and Henry's daughter being killed? None of it is coherent enough to make much sense)

Cut to Mike in the hospital being genuinely shocked when he wakes to find his dad showing genuine happiness at him being okay, and for once Williams smile isn't creepy. His siblings are either crying while crawling into the hospital bed with him or come running in. His mom is also in tears, finally out of her funk.
At some point during Mike's hospital stay William is sitting silently in the room with him before apologizing to him.
He admits he's a shit father who has no idea how to express his emotions right and not only promises to do better but asks Mike to call him out if he slips back again.

Henry and his family come visit later on, crying with joy all the while.

Mike either has no idea why he was grabbed or knows and plays it off by reciting what his dad did to the kids of the future as being what his kidnapper planned to do or something like that.

Hospital maybe recommends therapy (doubt it given the time period but this is a fanfic so do what you want) and maybe Mike convinces his whole family to go to therapy because damn do they all need it.

Maybe Micheal finds out how, and why, he time traveled. Maybe it will forever be a mystery to him.
Either way he's got trauma to work on, siblings to spend time with, a murder happy dad to keep out of trouble, and a mom who will probably still divorce his dad just later once all the chaos of his kidnapping calms down.

The event in which William has a chance to murder Henry's daughter happens but...
When he pulls up, he is still a bit buzzed but for different reasons now, he looks at her crying in an alley outside their restaurant and gets a flashback of sobbing, delirious, traumatized Micheal and manages to make the right choice and take her back inside.

Does William still commit murder? Maybe, if so his victims may now lean more towards those who go after kids (i.e. kidnappers, predators, that sort of thing)
So yeah he's still fucked up but at least he isn't murdering innocent kids now I guess?

Listen, Micheal isn't even gonna try and stop his dad. As long as it isn't kids and there aren't ghost possessed animatronics he couldn't care less.

Thats all I got. Change it up however you like. This idea just refused to leave my brain but I don't know enough about this series to write anything more about it.

I'm just now realizing after writing this all out that my sleep deprived brain was probably inspired by the fic Michal is Missing by Starwrighter.
