Dumbledore asks sirius to go undercover
Dumbledore stopped by the Potter’s house just after dinner.
“I need to speak with Sirius, I have a mission for the order.” he told them as he sat down at the dinner table.
“Of course,” Euphemia said and motioned for everyone else to leave.
“Whatever you have to tell me, you can tell them as well,” Sirius said sternly as he grabbed James’s wrist.
“Very well then,” Dumbledore replied kindly. “The order needs you to go undercover as a death eater to get intel. You’re the only viable option, with your family history. We would have you reconcile with your parents and attend meetings with them. It would take a lot of training to block your true intentions from the others but I think we can—”
“No.” Sirius said, cutting off the older wizard. “I won’t do it.
“Now Sirius, I know it will be hard but,” He pressed on. “We could do so much good with someone on the inside.”
“Didn't you hear me,” Sirius all but yelled. “I said no. Don’t you know what they did to me?”
“Yes, but—”
“NO!” Sirius shouted, slamming his hands on the table. “You don’t get it. They didn’t just hit me every once in a while or send me to bed without dinner. They would crucio me just because they wanted to. I would go days without food during the summer if I messed up at one of their parties. Do you know what it feels like to have parents that truly hate you?”
“No but I—”
“Because I do. They would leave me to play with my dear cousins, knowing that Bella would torture me through legimacy. A couple times at their fancy parties, they let Lucius Malfoy touch me and ignore my screams as they flooded down the hall. They called me broken when I told them I was gay. I don’t think you could ever understand what it elt like to live there for 16 years.”
