Chapter 4

Azalea drifted awake at 8 in the morning. She hated mornings but she felt a heavy dread on this one in particular. She got out of bed and showered to wake up. Once she got out of the shower she put on black dragon leather leggings with a black magic resistant belt which she attached a pair of wickedly curved daggers then searched for her black silk wrap tunic with the Potter crest that was stitched in red embroidery thread. After getting dressed she threw half her hair up in a neat bun and spelled makeup on her face. She clasped on the portkey bracket on her left wrist. Due to the fact that she had a meeting today she wore her nicer pair of black dragonhide boots that came up to her knees and had a low heel. She grabbed her leather bag with the undetectable expansion charm on it and tightened the erumpent hide wand holster on her forearm that she had taken to sleeping with and walked out the door. She met up with Nelda on her way out of the common room.

“Hey Nelda, are you coming with me to the chamber? I'm opening it then I have to leave, I have a meeting at Gringotts today. So you’re in charge today.” Azalea said as Nelda fell into step beside her to the right.

“Sure thing captain. Don’t cause a war while you're out.” Nelda responded to her friend.

“I would never!” Azalea exclaimed with a smirk. She was proud of the fact that Nelda felt comfortable enough to banter now. When she had met the girl she had reminded her of herself, a beaten down dog in a way.

“I mean it Azalea, no war.” Nelda said while trying to fight off a smile.

They continued down the corridor, making their way to the fourth floor bathrooms to open the chamber when they happened upon professor Flitwick.

“Miss Potter, Miss Longbottom! What are you doing here so early?” He squeaked out in surprise. He had been told by Dumbledore to patrol the fourth floor corridor in hopes of catching whoever had been wandering down the hallway because the portraits and ghosts won’t reveal who it was that triggered the proximity wards.

“Nothing much professor. We were just taking a morning stroll.” Azalea said as casually as she could with the feeling of dread heavy in her chest.

“Really now?” He said with a raised brow. He knew that she wasn’t telling the truth and he knew that she knew that he knew that she was fibbing. He had a sneaking suspicion that this was what Dumbledore wanted to find out but seeing how Dumbledore had cut the funding to his dueling club he had no inclination to report the findings to him. “Carry on then girls. I didn’t see anything.” He said to them while walking away.

“We need to be more aware of our surroundings, Nel. If that was McGonagall or Snape we would have been in trouble.” She whispered to her friend.

Nelda could only nod in agreement, still in shock about being found out. The two girls looked around before slipping into the bathrooms. “Open.” Azalea hissed at the sink causing the chamber’s entrance to open up.

“Okay Nelda I’m leaving now. Can you send a message to everyone that the chamber is open?” She requested. At her friend's nod she turned and left.

She made her way to the third floor and from there into the secret passage to Honeydukes. It took her about an hour to reach the end. Before she climbed out of passage she cast a Disillusionment charm and a silencing charm on her feet to make her footsteps silent. After that she cast a scent-vanishing charm and made her way up out of the passage and into the cellar of Honeydukes.

After climbing out she went to the Hog's Head bar and snuck behind it to activate the portkey. “Gringotts.” She whispered then the world was a swirl. She barely was able to keep standing as she landed in the portkey entrance of the bank. She made her way out of the room and up to a teller's desk. “I have a meeting with BloodFang today.” She told the teller blankly.

“Portkey.” The goblin grunted out. After inspecting the bracelet he waved over another goblin. “Take her to BloodFangs office now!” He barked out.

“This way.” He growled out as he led her through a maze of hallways. They came to a stop outside of heavy oaken double doors that were ornately hand carved. The goblin knocked once then swung the door open.

Azalea walked through the doorway and came to a stop in front of an ornate cherry wood desk. “BloodFang, how lovely to see you.” She said calmly while taking a seat in a brown leather chair.

“Lady Potter, what can I help you with today?” He inquired.

“I need access to my family accounts as well as the Lordship ring. I also need a full inheritance test done.” She said in an even tone while staring down the goblin.

“The test will cost five galleons. Seeing how magic accepted your emancipation due to the goblet of fire there is no reason not to take up the Lordship or in this case the Ladyship.” At Azalea's nod he pulled out a long piece of parchment and a wickedly curved dagger with runes lining the edges. “Cut your palm and let nine drops of blood flow onto the parchment. The cut will heal when you are done.” Bloodfang said to Azalea. Following the instructions Azalea slid the dagger across her palm, causing her blood to well up. She cupped her hand and tipped it over the parchment.

Azalea could only stare at the parchment in blatant disbelief. Why would anyone do this to someone? Why her? Then came a rush of white hot anger.

“BloodFang, what accounts are Dumbledore aware of?” She asked in a deadly calm voice.

“Only the Potter account.” He replied gruffly.

“I want an audit done on the Potter account. I also want anything taken without my express permission retrieved and a steep interest put on any amount stolen. I will allow you to keep half of the interest if you make up an incredibly redundant reason to give Dumbledore if he comes asking.” She told him with a dangerous glint in her eyes.

“With pleasure.” The goblin purred out with a pleased glint in his eye.

“Good. Is it possible to open Rosier manor, Peverell manor and Black Cottage?” She inquired as she scanned over the listings.

“Yes, though the heads of House Black and House Rosier will be alerted by the wards. Would you like to send a team of goblins to clear out any dangerous creatures living in the house or on the land?” BloodFang inquired.

“Will I get to pick out the team?” She asked in return.

“If you like. I have their rosters here if you want to go over it.” He replied intrigued. No witch ever cared enough to pick their own team.

“Please.” She said with a nod. She watched as he dug through his desk. He pulled out six folders and handed them over to the Potter heiress. She took them and piled them carefully over on her side of the desk closest to her. They were not labels on the outside of the folder. She picked up the first and flipped it open. When nothing piqued her interest she moved on to the next folder. On the fourth folder she found the one. The team was led by a female goblin named Swiftblade who was both a healer and a warrior. Under her was another female Goblin named Silverdagger and two male goblins named Bladedance and Ironarm. They were a group of younger goblins though their track record was spotless. The leader was a little older than the rest of them. None of them had any family left either it seemed.

“I want this team.” She said with certainty.

“Are you sure? The members are quite young.” He replied with a raised brow.

“Yea. They’re perfect. Would I be able to meet with them before they start and can I use them anytime I need a team of goblins.” She said confidently.

“I will make a note of that in your file. Would you like to meet them now?” He inquired.

“Yes please.” The young woman said. She shifted back a little in her chair and took a deep breath. Azalea wanted to be totally calm when she met the team of goblins. She watched as the goblin in front of her hit a button under his desk to summon a runner to get team Swiftblade. While they waited Azalea had a thought. “BloodFang, while I am here can I open a vault for an organisation?” She asked with a contemplative look on her face.

“Yes we can open it now. What is the name of the organisation?” He asked while pulling out a piece of paper.

“Vipertooth Acolytes is the name.” She responded quickly.

“Who will be allowed access?” He asked while writing.

“Myself, Nelda Longbottom, Theodore Nott, Daphne Greengrass, Luna Lovegood, Blaise Zabini, Susan Bones and Hannah Abott will have access with Myself and Daphne being the main holders of the vault. Daphne is the head treasurer and will be the one that will deal with the invoices and problems unless they are in need of my overview. Put the rest of the interest of what was stolen into this vault if you don’t mind.” She answered.

“Is there any particular goblin you want to have managing this vault?” He asked.

“I don’t particularly mind who the manager is but if you have any suggestions I will take them into consideration.” She responded.

“There is one particular goblin that I think you might like. Their name is Swiftbite. She is a little young but is one of our brighter goblins with a good sense about her.” He replied looking lost in thought.

“If she is young would her family mind that she would be given a job like this?” She asked, a little worried.

“No, both her parents are dead. Her only relation is being in the same clan as Swiftblade.” He responded.

“Then she would be perfect.” Azalea replied.

“What type of protections would you like instilled in the vault?” He asked.

“I want any thief to be marked in some way. Whether it be burns or lacerations that scar. I would also like any protections that you would think is best.” She told him.

“Would you like a set of eight keys or for it to be blood locked?” He asked.

“Keys please. Is it possible to make the keys themselves blood locked?” She asked in return.

“Yes, that's doable. Would you like any precautions made for the letters and invoices?” He said while jotting down her wants.

“Can it be password protected?” She asked.

“Yes it can.” He said while giving a curt nod.

“Then can the password be The Morrigan Awaits The Call Of War. I would also like to have code names instead of actual names. Mine would be Babh and Daphne Greengrass would be under Agrona. Have all invoices sent to Daphne or Agrona.” She informed the goblin.

“Would you like to transfer anything into this vault?” He continued.

“Yes I would like to transfer the basilisk venom, blood, and skin into it along with an amount of 20 thousand galleons from the Potter vault to start off with.” She said with a firm nod. War wasn't cheap after all.

She watched as BloodFang finished up what he wrote and stamped the document. He turned it around and handed her a blood quil to sign her name. Once that was finished the scroll disappeared and the blood quill went up in flames. Not even two minutes later a bag popped into existence on his desk.

“Here are the keys.” He said while handing them over to her. They both flinched a little when a resounding knock echoed in the room. “Come in.” The goblin growled out.

A group of four Goblins filed into the room lining the back wall. “You called us.” A feminine voice huffed out from the tallest goblins of the group.

“I did. Swiftblade, this is Lady Azalea Potter, head of House Potter and Peverell and heiress Black and Rosier. She had chosen your team out of six others personally. She will explain what she wants done. Lady Potter.” He said while gesturing her to start.

Azalea stood to face the group. “I would like both the Peverell and Rosier mansions along with Black cottage opened up along with the houses themselves cleared of any dangerous creatures and any cursed item placed into the attic. Any animal or creatures on the grounds can stay there, if they attack I will kill them myself. If it takes longer than a day you are permitted to stay at the homes if it is more convenient. Also if any of you get hurt on the job I will pay for the medical costs.” She said while locking eyes with the leader of the group.

Swiftblade nodded in assent. “That is acceptable. Will we be allowed to keep what we kill?” She asked. Honestly she couldn’t really deny any jobs yet, her group was too new and all of them were orphans who didn’t have a lot that they own. Though a job like this may allow them to get better weapons or armour.

“Yes. I am willing to negotiate the payment as well. As a starting offer I will put out 30 thousand Galleons.” She said throwing out the first price off the top of her head.

“40 thousand galleons.” Swiftblade said with a raised brow. That was honestly more than she was expecting but if the young witch wanted to negotiate who was she to stop her.

“35 thousand and access to my vault to pick one weapon each.” Azalea shot back. Honestly the amount of weapons in the Potter vault alone was ridiculous. People seemed to forget often that the Potter family were all warriors and tended to lean towards violence more than what was healthy.

“Acceptable.” Swiftblade said immediately. She was sure that all of the goblins in the room were in shock. Never before had any member of the wizarding world allowed a goblin into their vault, let alone pick out something from it in payment. It just wasn’t done.

“Good. Do you want to make up the contract now?” She asked the group who nodded. “Alright. BloodFang do you mind writing out the contract as a neutral party?” She asked her account manager who nodded while pulling out another piece of parchment. He finished writing it after about five minutes before handing it to her. She read through it fairly quickly before signing her name.

I, Azalea Potter,
am employing team Swiftblade to clear out Peverell and Rosier Mansion along with Black cottage with the payment of 35 thousand galleons along with a choice of one weapon each out of Potter Vault.

Any kills that are made are to be kept by the killer. Any medical supplies needed will be paid for by the Potter vault. All supplies that are needed will be paid for from the Potter vault and will be delivered by a trusted House elf.

If the duration of clearing out one property takes more than one day then the use of four rooms will be available for use along with food, drink and the use of running water

She handed the paper back to BloodFist to be filed and watched as the group of four goblins walked out of the office discussing their gameplan. When the door clicked shut she turned her attention back to the goblin in front of her.

“Will I need to go to the vaults to retrieve the rings?” She asked the Goblin.

“No. When you sent the house elf to schedule this meeting I went to both the Potter vault and the Peverell vault and picked them up myself. I had a feeling that you would be wanting to take the Ladyship position now that you are emancipated by magic. Though I will admit that I was not prepared for the Rosier heiress ring. The Black heiress ring is held in Black manor only if there are no heads of house or anyone bearing the Black name will it appear in the Black vault.” He informed the girl. He pulled out two ornate boxes, one with the Potter crest with a golden kelpie above a metal helm that sat on a black squat with three five petal flowers, two on top and one on the bottom. The other had a black thestral over a metal helm over a shield with three bundles of hay, two on top and one on bottom.

She picked up the Potter ring and opened the box. There a ring sat on a black velvet cushion. She took the ring out lovingly and gently slid it onto her right ring finger causing a flash of magic as it accepted her as the head of house, resizing to fit her. The ring was vintage. It had a cushion cut 6x6 mm ruby set in shining platinum with round black diamonds outlining the ruby. On the inside of the ruby was the Potter crest. On the outside of the band it had the Potter family words Mae Tynged Yn Ffafrio'r Dewr (google translate) or Fate Favours the courageous. On the inside of the platinum band were runic inscriptions that made it so that the wearer could detect poisons and potions in food and increase the damage of any combative spell. It also had an undetectable portkey that would take the wearer to the Potter Manor if the wearer is hurt or unconscious or if they pushed magic into it.

She then turned her eyes to the Peverell box and opened it. Sliding this ring onto the right middle finger caused it to flash for a longer period of time before it resized when it accepted her. The ring appeared simple in design with a round cut 5 mm, vivid blue diamond that sat in the middle of lotus petal shaped black diamonds that were held on a black gold band. The Peverell crest sat in the middle of the blue diamond. The outside of the band had la mort juge tout (google translation) or death judges all. The inside had runes as well. The enchantments give it the power to protect against malevolent spirits and possessions as well as the ability to call forth the Coin-Sithe , a sidhe or fae that is an omen of death, taking the form of a hound with shaggy, dark green coat that stood as large as a small cow and had unnatural yellow eyes that shone. And like all house rings it will porkey you to safety to the manor.

She had to close her eyes as the knowledge of both of the ring's enchantments and the meaning of the house motto was dumped into her brain. The offload of information caused a slight headache to develop as it also gave her information about her family magics, the Peverells being Necromancy while the Potters being Mind magic. She honestly wished that none of the others had this much information to unload. She had a feeling that she would need to retrieve her family’s Grimoire to go through. She had been hoping to put it off till the summer but it seems as if that may not be an option anymore.

“BloodFang I seem to be in need of visiting my vaults. I need the grimoires of my family.” She told the goblin.

“Once again I foresaw this as well. I brought with me the Potter and Peverell grimoires. It is after all my job to foresee the needs of my clients.” He said while opening a draw closer to the floor and bringing out two massive leather bound books.

He slid them over to Azalea who reached out a hand to gently stroke the cover of the Black book with red lettering, spelling out Potter Family Grimoire MaeTynged Yn Ffafrio’r Dewr. The book sung with magic that felt so comforting that she almost cried. The other book was a similar black cover but this time it had a vivid blue lettering that read Peverell Family Grimoire La Mort Juge tout. The magic of the Peverell Grimoire brought to mind cold silk sliding over her skin. She slid the two precious books into her leather bag while thanking the goblin.

“Thank you BloodFang. I appreciate all the work you have done for me today. You are a credit to your clan. I will send a notice via elf before our next meeting, may your enemies blood flow over mountains of gold.” She said in a calm voice.

The goblin nodded to the young women in acceptance of the complement. “May your enemies cower before you.” He replied back.

She stood up from the chair and left the office before walking out of the bank, heading towards the jewelry store called Enchanted Moondrop. It was a small shop that had just opened last year by Alicia Lunarie, a half blood witch. She made it to the door when she had the feeling that she was being watched. Keeping calm she entered the shop and went over to a display case holding bracelets. She ended up buying around 60 Copper cuff bracelets to replace the galleons for messages. With the larger surface it should allow more room to add information if necessary. She slipped them into her bag after paying and exited the store. She looked around, searching the crowd for any sign of danger just to spot a head of pale blonde long hair, cause her to pale. She turned on her heel and strode into an alleyway to try and hide only to feel someone grab her arm and apparate away with her.

It was disorienting, being forced into a sidelong apparition. As soon as she landed she had her wand out and a shield up. She looked around to try to orient herself. Taking in the surroundings she noticed that she was in a fairly good sized clearing. Then she snapped her eyes to the two fidgeting men and stared at them blankly.

Both Rabastan and Rodolphus didn’t really know what to do now. It had seemed like a good idea at the time, kidnapping Azalea to ask her about their soulmates. “Are Nelda and Luna safe?” Rodolphus was the one to ask.

“They weren’t hurt right?” Rabastan inquired in a slightly manic tone.

“Are they scared of us”? Rodolphus continued on.

Azalea shifted her weight to cock her hip to one side and raised an eyebrow at the two men’s tirade. She couldn’t lie, this was kinda amusing to watch two grown men fret over her friends. She stood there and continued to stare them down until they fell silent. She pinned them with her unnatural green eyes that seemed to reflect light.

“Sorry.” Both Lestranges muttered as if they were scolded children.

“First off boy’s, kidnapping me in broad daylight is just stupid. I understand that you are worried about your soul bonded but please use your head. You're supposed to be Slytherins, act like it.” She told them firmly. “Second, they are fine now that Umbrigde isn’t in the school torturing students that she didn’t like with blood quills. And to answer your last question Luna isn’t scared but Nelda is apprehensive. Especially after what happened to her parents when she was one. She is unsure if you plan on hurting her again.” She said bluntly. She caught the slight flinch from Rabastan at that. She could tell that he honestly didn’t know what to do about Nelda. He seemed protective of her already, but he was still a death eater, one of their enemies. Still her face softened as she watched longing enter his eyes. “When in doubt, rare seeds will always make Nelda’s day. If you want to gift her something, keep it plant related. She doesn’t like jewelry either, the only piece of jewelry is the friendship necklace I created for our group.” This time she spoke directly at Rabastan. She wanted Nelda to be happy, if he was her soulmate then so be it.

“What about Luna?” Rodolphus asked quietly with an unsure look in his eyes.

“Luna is a special case. She isn’t like most people let alone girls. She likes magical creatures though. She truly is otherworldly. She is one of our most dangerous members, just under Myself and Nelda. She will kill with a smile on her face and not bat an eye and she just knows things. She sees more than people give her credit for. If you want to give her a gift then I suggest something useful or whimsical.” She replied to the right older Lestrange.

“What did you mean about Umbridge?” Rabastan asked in a deceptively calm tone.

“Thanks to that toady bitch Nelda, Luna, and I along with a couple others have at least one scar. Mine says ‘I must not tell lies’, Nelda’s says ‘squibs must know their place’ and Luna’s reads ‘I must not make things up’. Thanks to Hermione we got satisfying revenge. Hermione led her to a heard of centaurs who dragged her away. Lord only knows what they did to her.” She said with a mean smirk and a vindictive light shining in her eyes.

Rage thundered across both Lestranges faces. How dare some effete inconsequential ministry nobody harm their soulmate. Rabastan strode over to Azalea and stopped right in front of her. “May I see?” He asked in a calm low tone. Azalea held out her right hand to show the scar on the back of her hand. Rabastan took her hand and brought it up to his face while Rodolphus stalked up behind him. There on the back of her hand a jagged scar that looked barely healed sat.

“Honestly I hate her more than I do your Dark Lord. She targeted anyone she could, only leaving the Slytherin House alone.” She told them honestly. “Honestly she is higher on my list than Selwyn.”

“What kind of list?” Rodolphus asked hesitantly to hear the answer. For such a small woman she was terrifying.

“My assassination list. Why?” She said, cocking her head to the side while staring up at the older man curiously.

“Assassination? Huh?” Rabastan said while staring at the seemingly innocent girl. “May I ask who is on it?” He asked lowly.

“Umbridge, Selwyn, Mulciber, Rookwood, and Travers. You two used to be on it same with Bellatrix and Barty. Of course you're not on it anymore or you’d be dead right now.” She told them while putting her wand away. “You underestimate us too much. Not all of us are aware that you are Nelda’s soul bonded Rabastan, or that you are Luna’s Rodolphus. Many of our members are quick to kill, remember that.” She told them. She didn’t give them a chance to respond before activating her portkey, taking her to behind Hogshead.

It was about 3:45 almost 4 so she took her time walking through the tunnel back to Hogwarts taking about an hour and a half. She leisurely strolled through the halls taking note of who was out and about. It would be dinner soon so a good amount of students were out in the hallway meeting up with friends to gossip about the day.

She made her way to the fourth floor and entered the door to the girls bathroom there. She cast her patronus to send a message to Nelda to wrap it up down there and sat against the wall to wait for everyone to come up. Teams left in house groups to keep from being too suspicious. Finally after the last of the regular members left only Nelda, Luna, and Theo remained.

“Well Dumbledore has been stealing from the Potter Vaults. I’m also the Rosier and Black heiress. Also I opened up a vault in Gringotts for the Acolytes as well as opening the Peverell and Rosier Manors along with Black Cottage.” She said while passing out keys to the group. She gave two extra to Theo. “Can you give these to Dee and Blaise quietly. I will give Susan and Hannah theirs tomorrow. Also I saw Rodolphus and Rabastan today. They seem worried for both of you's safety. They practically kidnapped me to ask about you two. They even asked what kind of gifts you two like.” She said while smirking at her two friends who were starting to blush. “I’m pretty sure that they want to kill Umbridge now.” She said off handedly. She shifted to lean against Theo, feeling exhausted. “Theo, is uncle Thoros still okay for all of us to meet at your manor this summer?” She asked her brother.

“Yea dad can’t wait. I swear he loves you more than me.” He said while trying to hold in a laugh while wrapping an arm around the girl who was like a little sister. His words brought out a giggle from the smaller girl.

“Maybe you should write a letter to Rabastan Nelda, try and talk to him and see if you could one day feel comfortable with him. He seems a bit unhinged but relatively decent.” She told her friend.

Just then a ten minute till supper bell ramg out. As one the group stood up and walked towards dinner. All of them were happy that the day was over.

Lucius was in his bedroom sitting area again, lounging on the leather sofa with a glass of Merlot in one hand and a book in the other. He had felt the tracking spell on his soulmate alert him when she was in Diagon Alley and had even seen a glimpse of the girl when she saw him and bolted into an Alley way but when he reached the area she hid in she was gone. He was broken out of his thoughts by a tapping on his window, looking over he saw a majestic Eagle owl holding three letters on his leg. He opened the window and allowed the bird to rest on his coffee table. The bird reached down and plucked a letter addressed to him and dropped it into his hand before taking off again. He opened the letter and could feel rage bubble up from his chest.

To Lucius Malfoy

I am a friend of Azalea Potter and had beared witness to a teacher abusing his power over her and a couple other students. During Potions class, one Severus Snape had spent most of the class belittling her. The verbal abuse that he spewed was unwarranted. I have attached a list of the names and insults bellow.

Useless 7 times
Unwanted 4 times
Unloveable 9 times
Good for nothing 3 times
Potter spawn 17 times
A blemish on society 6 times.
He took points off for existing
He took points off for breathing too loud
Took points off for asking questions

Honestly this is the only class that Azalea tries to make herself smaller in. It is as if she is expecting violence and seeing as how the school won’t correct this behavior then maybe her soul bonded will.

Sincerely,
Anonymous

He could feel his hand shake at the amount of rage that flowed through him at the thought of his little soulmate being abused in any situation. He had to approach this cautiously. Maybe a cursed letter or maybe a personal visit hidden in an unbreakable vow or even an obliviate torture session. It doesn’t help that he was the head of the school board. This matter should have been brought to his attention when it started not five years after the fact.

He will have to deal with it tomorrow. Tonight he had to deal with Narcissa. He finished his glass of Merlot now wishing that it was stronger. He got up, grabbed an unopened bottle of wine and walked down the hall to Narcissa’s room and knocked. He waited about two minutes before the frigid woman opened the door.

“Hello Lucius, what can I help you with?” She said in a monotone voice.

“Yaxley sent over one of his bottles of elf wine. Would you like the bottle? I prefer red wine myself.” He said just as cold as his wife.

“Yes thank you.” She said while taking the bottle from him. He knew that she had a glass of wine every night before bed.

With that finished he turned to head back to his room to plot about how to woo his little soulmate.

Rabastan was sitting in his office in his wing of the manor trying and failing to write a letter to his little witch. He wanted to make sure that she wasn’t hurt from her own words. Right after his chat with the Potter women he went to a herbology store and ordered hellebore, aconite, and foxglove seeds to send to his beautiful but deadly soulmate. He took what Azalea Potter had said about his sunspot to heart. If his witch wants plants then he will give her any plant she desired.

His train of thought was interrupted by the arrival of an Eagle owl tapping at the window. He got up to let the massive bird in and noticed that it had two letters on it. He noticed that it plucked one of the letters from it and held it out for him to take. He opened the letter and stilled.

To Rabastan Lestrange

I am a friend of Nelda Longbottom and had beared witness to a teacher abusing his power over her and a couple other students. During Potions class, one Severus Snape had spent most of the class belittling her. The verbal abuse that he spewed was unwarranted. I have attached a list of the names and insults below.

Near squib 19 times
Useless 15 times
Spineless 6 times
Blemish on her house 2 times
Unloveable 14 times

Honestly she is the second most targeted student in this class and none of the staff is stopping his behavior. I am hoping that as her soulmate you would help put a stop to it.

Sincerely,
anonymous.

He could feel a twitch in his eye as his eyes glinted manically. Snape might not know it yet but he just made a dangerously deranged enemy. Rabastan could already envisions pulling out the snake's entrails with his own hands.

Dear father

I have recently found my soulmate. He is a seventh year slytherin by the name of Mattaius Rookwood. He has taken to sitting next to me in the Great hall as well as protecting me from any unwanted advances. He has stated that his father has sold him to Lord Voldemort but he is nothing like the death eaters we know of. I would like you to meet him with an open mind.

Sincerely your daughter,
Daphne Greengrass
