MOD pt. 2
Harry watched from the lake as his sire and his friends were sitting down by the beech tree. James was playing with his snitch, while Peter cheered for him. Sirius sat bored and Remus studied. If an innocent bystander saw this, they'd assume that these were ordinary, sweet boys. However, Harry knew better. He knew exactly the type of people they were and he knew what was coming next. He hesitated as he spotted his sweet future husband. Severus sat in the bushes, muttering to himself about the OWLs. The sweet thing hadn't fully grown yet and he was far shorter, than Harry was used to. Although Harry had a few inches over his husband, he towered over the teen version of Severus. The difference in broadness also helped in making Severus appear even smaller than he was.
Regardless, Severus had just moved away from the bushes. This was James's queue to initiate hostility. Harry hesitated for a moment but then moved toward the scene. In seconds, Severus's wand was on the floor and he began to levitate off the floor, that’s when Harry pulled out the elder wand. "Finite Incantatem, Corpiusmomento," he said and the levitation spell ended while Severus's body descended slowly back to the ground. James and his friends turned to Harry in shock.
"Who do you think you are?!" Demanded Sirius. The Master of Death shrugged and walked to Severus. He was much older than these people but due to his immortality he stopped ageing at 18. Harry grabbed Severus's fallen wand and moved to hand it back. He heard an incantation behind him but his shield was already up. Any spell that hit it, ricocheted and hit its owner. He didn't have to turn back to see that James was frozen.
"How did you do that?" Asked Severus with fearful eyes. Harry smiled brightly and handed the 'younger' his wand.
"It's a secret," whispered Harry, playfully and ruffled Snape's hair. The 'younger' stared in shock. Harry turned round and glared at the trio before him. "I suggest you take your friend to the hospital wing," he hissed. Sirius and Pettigrew jumped back in fear. "You, Lion Prefect!" Harry called to Remus. The werewolf stood and anxiously walked to the scene.
"Yes?" Asked the blonde while fidgeting with his book sheepishly, his eyes wandering from his feet to Harry.
"Don't yes me! It's your job to keep your housemates in check and to maintain rules! Grow a freaking pair and do your job!" Scolded Harry vehemently. Remus's face grew pink and he had the decency to stare at the floor in shame. "Start working by sending them to the hospital wing and assigning detentions," commanded Harry, his voice icy.
"S-Sirius...James and Peter, let's get you to Pomfrey and...and detention on Saturday," stuttered out Lupin. Sirius and Pettigrew gazed with dropped jaws at their friend. Harry stared in satisfaction and turned back toward his mate. Severus continued to stare in utter bewilderment. Suddenly, a girl with fiery red hair approached the fallen Slytherin.
"Severus are you okay?" she asked sweetly. Harry rolled his eyes at his bearer. He knew how much of a fickle friend she was. She treated Severus well, only out of courtesy to him teaching her about the wizarding world. She had a crush on James and as soon as he stopped bullying people, she'd dated him. He didn't judge her for liking the most popular guy in school. It was just rather shallow and cliche in Harry's opinion. Despite that, he didn't think his parents were evil people. They definitely weren't good people but they weren't evil. Yes, James did befriend a werewolf, a child from the Black family and a slow kid, but that didn't excuse his abominable behaviour towards everyone else, especially Severus.
Regardless, Harry joined his bearer and Severus. "I'm okay Lils, really," whispered Severus now getting up with the help of the girl.
"Thank you for helping him," Lily said to the newcomer.
"I didn't need help!" Sneered Snape. "I could've dealt with it myself."
"No problem," said Harry, gazing at Lily. "And I didn't doubt your ability, I just did it out of principle. Three against one is a cowardly fight," said Harry nonchalantly with a shrug. Snape blushed and bit his lip. "Good afternoon by the way, my name is Harry Peverell," Harry greeted with a sweet smile.
"I'm Lily Evans," the redhead said with a blush and she extended her hand. Harry took the offered hand and placed a kiss upon its palm.
"Pleasure to make your acquaintance, my lady," said Harry casually. Lily blushed deeply and giggled, while Severus rolled his eyes. "May I have your name, little raven," Harry asked Snape. The 'younger' gaped at him but recovered quickly and gritted his teeth.
"I'm Severus Snape! I'm not a little raven!" Growled the sweet thing. Harry raised an eyebrow and chuckled. Evans seemed to be contemplating whether to join Severus or wait for Harry to explain.
"I meant it as a compliment. Ravens are beautiful and are among the cleverest of birds, not to mention that they have an aura of mystery," drawled the Master of Death. His words caused Severus to blush deeply and for Lily to gape. The girl then giggled in interest at the newcomer's attitude.
"In that case, Severus really fits the nickname," she said with a grin. Severus stared at her feeling betrayed.
"I-I'm not!" He argued.
"Lily! What're you doing? Come on we need to study," called out one of the girls near the lake. The trio turned to stare in her direction and she blushed as she caught sight of Harry. She approached them hastily and batted her eyelashes at him. "Hi, I'm Matilda, what's your name?" She asked in a sweet tone. Harry wanted to groan but he simply raised his eyebrow at her and got closer to Severus.
"I'm Harry, nice to meet you Matilda. I couldn't help but hear that you're all studying for what I assume to be the OWLs?" Harry stated smoothly, receiving three nods. "Little raven, would you like me to help you?" Harry spoke huskily and reached a hand to tuck a strand of hair behind Severus's ear. Said ear went bright red along with the pale face. Lily giggled even louder but Matilda looked appalled.
"Y-you...you want to help him?" She hissed with disgust. Harry simply glanced at her unaffected.
"So Severus, what do you say?" He asked the raven-haired boy.
"Yeah! He does, he needs a lot of help!" Lily quipped with a grin. Severus glared at her while Harry smiled and grabbed the 'younger' man's hand.
"Let's go then," said Harry and pulled the teen with him. Severus was far too shocked to pull away and allowed the other to drag him across the grounds and into the castle. Harry took them to the ROR. He summoned a room to help with studying and a lounge. The room fulfilled the request and a lounge with a large bookshelf appeared.
"What the!" Cried Severus in astonishment. "How? Where?" He exclaimed as his eyes moved around.
"This is the Room of Requirement," Harry explained. "Not many people know of it or how to summon it. It's a perfect place to hide away and study," he continued. Severus roamed the room and traced the books on the bookshelf.
"This is...this is incredible!" He said excitedly. "Who are you?" He asked Harry. The 'older' smiled at his sweet mate.
"It's a long story," said Harry. "Have a seat."
"So...so in the future...we're...you and I we...we're going to get married?" Stuttered the raven with a deep blush and fidgeting fingers. "Won't I be too old for you?" He said, staring at Harry through his thick dark locks. The Master of Death chuckled and held the pink cheeks.
"You'll stop ageing once I'm born, so no you won't be," said Harry with a smile. "Age doesn't matter and we've had many life times before this one. If anything, I'm too old for you my sweet, since I always regain my memory of our past lives but you don't, it's a curse and a blessing for us both," admitted the 'older'. Severus gulped and nodded.
"Um...what do you want exactly? I mean why did you go back in time?" Asked the raven curiously.
"To prevent something awful happening to you today. And to watch you squirm cutely during your OWLs," said Harry with a chuckle. Severus glared.
"I do not squirm!" He defended. Harry laughed and pulled his cute husband into an embrace. Severus stiffened for a moment before he melted and buried himself into the large, strong arms.
"God you're adorable, I love you so much," said Harry. Severus's breath hitched and he buried himself even deeper into the warm embrace.
"I'm sorry, I can't say it back. I don't know you," he whispered innocently and softly into the chest.
"Oh no sweetheart, you don't have to say anything," said Harry with a smile. He pulled Severus away and held his face. "I know this is too much at the moment. When you're ready in the future, you'll be able to say it and I'll be waiting fervently to hear it," whispered the 'older'. Severus smiled sheepishly and to Harry's surprise, gave Harry a small kiss on the cheek.
The two spent Severus's OWLs going to the ROR. Harry helped his mate study and they usually cuddled afterward as they got to know each other. Well, more of Severus getting to know Harry. "So, why do I hate you? I mean in the future?" Asked Severus in confusion.
"Because I have to obliviate you at the end of this and you'll see me as the spiting image of my father," Harry explained, sadly.
"Why do you have to obliviate me?" Gasped the 'younger' in horror.
"Because the timeline must be maintained but I will return your memories to you, in due time," said Harry. The raven wasn't convinced or happy with the conclusion but deep down, he was smart enough to understand.
At the end of Severus's OWLs, Harry got his future mate a gift. "This is a port key to a safe house. Do not use it unless it's absolutely pertinent and you're in eminent danger," he explained to the raven. Severus took the bracelet and smiled shyly.
"I will Harry, thank you," he said.
"Are you ready?" Asked Harry. He had already obliviated Lily, The Marauders and the group of girls. He kept the memory in which Severus wasn't humiliated, however, he altered the memory so that instead of Harry saving Severus, it was Lily. Harry knew that eventually Lily was going to make Severus choose between her and the Dark Lord and Severus was going to make the wrong choice. However, giving them both an extra year or so of friendship and not having this be the defining moment of losing it was his plan all along.
"Wait, before you do that, can you please...I want to know how it feels," said Severus shyly, staring at his shoes.
"What do you wish to know Sev?" Asked Harry curiously.
"Can you...please...can you kiss me," whispered the raven. Harry couldn't hold back the groan at his sweet mate's request. He stepped closer to Severus and gently reached with his hands to hold the pink cheeks. Onyx eyes met bright green. Then, the onyx closed as the greens drew nearer. Harry's lips softly closed over Severus's. He stayed for a few seconds before retreating. Severus opened his eyes and smiled. Then, as he opened his mouth to speak, Harry closed the gap once more. The kiss was just as gentle as the first but lasted a little longer. Harry pulled away once more to a happy Severus. A moment later, he closed the gap for the third time, this time, he moved his lips slowly, causing the raven to sigh. The fourth kiss was a little more intimate, with Harry sucking on the plump lips. By the seventh kiss, Harry was devouring Severus's mouth. The raven released the most adorable noises. He trembled in his mate's arms and stood on his tiptoes to wrap his arms around Harry's neck.
Finally, Harry released the bruised lips and breathed heavily. "Are you ready?" He whispered to the 'younger'.
"Noooo," Severus whined with a flushed face and red, swollen lips.
"I'm sorry my love but I must leave," Harry said with a chuckle. He then, with a heavy heart, performed the spell to alternate his mate's memories. Then, he took his leave and returned to the future.
Harry opened his eyes in his living room. He'd lied down on the sofa this time and he immediately regretted the decision. His back and neck were aching. The immortal stood up to stretch and a smile adorned his face as the memories of the new timeline settled in his mind. The Master of Death left the room in order to search for his husband. He knew exactly where to find his love. Severus always worked on his Dark Arts on Fridays and he'd be in the ritual room experimenting. Harry had to place a curfew for the Potion's master to prevent him from overworking. Although Severus no longer required working, he was overly passionate for his projects and tended to lose himself in them. Harry would snort at the reminder that he sometimes had to be the mature one in the relationship and place boundaries for Severus.
The Master of Death reached the ritual room and knocked twice on the large doors. He waited for a few seconds but got no reply, which meant that Severus was far too engrossed into whatever he was doing to notice the knock on the door. Harry opened the large door and stepped inside. It was a very large room with a circular structure. At the centre was the ritual ground that could be mended and drawn to fit whatever ritual/experiment performed. On either side of the room were bookshelves and cupboard filled to the brim with books and ingredients respectively. There was also a small sofa in one of the corners closer to the doors. Finally, a desk on the opposite side of the entrance, backed on a large window which was currently covered with thick purple drapes.
Harry gazed inside the room and spotted his husband on the centre floor, passionately drawing some runes. The Master of Death chose not to disturb his mate and opted to sit on the sofa and watch. Severus continued with his work, rather oblivious to Harry’s presence. He was far too engrossed and enjoying his work to care who entered or the left the room. Harry thought that even a tsunami couldn’t bother Severus at that moment. The Master of Death observed his mate with a gaze of lust and love.
Two hours later, Severus’s experiment was coming to an end. The artefact was clearly a success, if it’s ability to mould the gold sphere into a small dagger was any indication. The Potion’s master stared proudly at the small instrument in his hands. That’s when his back stiffened and his eyes widened. Harry spotted the rigid back and freezing motion. Severus was finally unoccupied and the memories of Harry’s meddling with time were coming to the surface. The Master of Death chuckled when his husband turned to face him with a deathly glare. Harry would’ve ran for his immortal life by now if it weren’t for the pretty red cheeks, Severus was adorning.
“Welcome back to the land of the living my Love,” Harry said with a smile. Severus only furrowed his brows as he stalked closer to his husband. When Severus reached him, instead of hexing him or doing any harm, the Potion’s master stood frozen in front of Harry. The Master of Death raised an eyebrow bemusedly and decided to grab his mate. Severus yelped as Harry pulled him on his lap. The Potion’s master landed as gracefully as possible on the muscular thighs of his husband. Harry held Severus’s waist and planted a kiss on his pale neck.
“What were you thinking?” Severus whispered in response. He gazed at Harry with a strange mix of apprehension and relief. Harry smiled in turn.
“You always hated the way things ended between you and Lily, I thought I’d rectify the situation,” Harry explained.
“But..” Harry interrupted Severus by hushing him and placing a palm to his cheek to gently stroke it. Severus leaned into the touch and closed his eyes with a sigh.
“I didn’t do anything drastic and isn’t it better now? You had an extra year with her and the way things ended were more peaceful and less toxic,” Harry whispered and planted another kiss to his mate’s jaw. Severus bit his lip to prevent a whimper from escaping. Then, he readjusted their position by sitting fully on Harry’s lap with his legs on either side of Harry’s thighs and nuzzled his face.
“It is. Thank you,” replied the Potion’s master. Harry was glad that Severus appreciated his gesture and things were okay. “You know, you shouldn’t have left me that way,” Severus continued with a husky tone. “You know what that does to a teenager?” Harry hummed in question, curious as to what this conversation would lead to. Severus wrapped his arms behind his husband’s neck and leaned close so their noses brushed each other and their breaths intertwined.
“I had no memory of you so my mind didn’t remember you but my body did. I woke up many times from dreams of a stranger kissing and ravishing me.” The husky tone made Harry groan, especially when the image of his husband waking up in a bed, dishevelled and confused from a wet dream, panting with a hard on, materialised in his mind. “Do you know how hard it was to concentrate? I’m just glad I already completed my OWLs, otherwise I would’ve performed poorly with my mind occupied by the thoughts of you playing with my body.”
Harry growled deeply and grabbed his husband’s ass cheeks and squeezed. Severus gasped and ground down. “Would you like me to make that up to you?” Harry whispered huskily and licked his mate’s jaw. Severus hummed before leaning in to close the gap between them. Their lips collided in a passionate kiss. Harry didn’t waste time and stood up with Severus in his arms, taking them to the bedroom to finish their activities. They always belonged together no matter what.
