Harry sighed for the third time that day after a patient with dementia asked for his hand in marriage.
He sat down on the nearest empty chair that he could find on the dining area.

-"Hard day?"- a familiar voice asked. His friend and co-worker, Emily, approached from behind.

Harry shook his head and snorted.

-"I was proposed to...again."- he explained, before deciding he needed coffee and walking to the expresso machine. Merlin knows he would need as much caffeine in his system as possible.

-"Tsk, still a flirt I see."- Emily teased, a small smile spreading on her lips.

He couldn't help but smile fondly at her.

-"I think it's the eyes, don't you think?"-

Harry never got to know Emily's answer, because in that moment, another voice said:

-"Healer Potter! You're needed!"-

Harry and Emily stared at each other before staring back at the nervous nurse in front of them.

-"I'm on my lunch hour."- Harry stated obviously.

-"They're requesting you specifically, now."-

Harry frowned in confusion but nodded simply and followed the nurse at a rapid pace.

Walking into the emergency department, Harry almost dropped his coffee.

It couldn't be.
Yet there he was.
Harry had seen him during and after the trials, of course.
Everyone had.

After the trials, Draco completely disappeared from the public eye until, three years later, he shocked the Wizarding World when he was announced as the new member of the London Magical Figure Skating Team.
Not only that, but he quickly shut down the bad reactions from the public on having a "death eater" on the team by climbing up in ranks quickly because of how beautifully he performed.
He was sharp and flawless on the ice, but he looked the most carefree Harry had ever seen him when skating.

He was named "Ice Butterfly Prince" because he usually included blue and silver patronus-like butterflies on his performances.

Now, he was laying unconscious in front of Harry.

-"Ah, Harry! I'm sorry for cutting you off of your lunch but as you can see.."-

-"What happened?"- Harry interrupted with a strained voice and a lump forming on his throat.

-"Well, Mr. Malfoy here was skating at the National Olympics when he suddenly dropped unconscious on the ice. I did a physical and a drug test and found traces of Trimzodiac X. Take a look."- Healer Edwards handed Harry the news from the Prophet.

Harry wanted to gag.

Death Eater goes back to his old ways?
Draco Malfoy hits ice bottom because of drugs.

There was a moving photo of Draco dropping from midair on the front page.
Despicable.
They were all despicable.

Harry and Draco weren't friends.
Hell, Harry didn't even like Draco.
But this was just cruel.

-"How do they even know about this?"- Harry asked.

Edwards shrugged.

-"They don't. They're just assuming because that's what usually happens with magical skaters. They dope to do their quads and lutz higher, and since the drug enhances their senses, it also enhances their magic, allowing them to perform dangerous yet stunning tricks. Apparently, Mr. Malfoy was giving his best performance yet when he suddenly collapsed on the ice. His team brought him here immediately."-

-"So what now?"- Harry asked.

-"I trust a lot of people in here with their abilities, but I only trust a few ethically. You being one of them of course. I have to give the statement to his team but we can't waste a second more. I need your help."-

Harry stared at the unconscious man.
He noticed that Draco was thinner and there were strange marks and bruises that did not match with Edwards story. Something...or someone else had done those to him.

-"Tell me what to do."-

~•~

Draco woke up with pain all over his body.
He had given him too much.
Draco knew.
Trimzodiac X was supposed to be given in small quantities, 1/4 of a tablet usually, not a full injected shot of it.

He groaned.

-"Oh good, you're awake now."-

No. It couldn't be.
Life couldn't possibly hate him that much.

Draco had seen him during and after the trials, of course.
Everyone had.

After the trials (specifically his trial), Harry began training to become a Healer. It was unexpected for everyone, but he received support from the public after stating that he was doing it in order to help as much people as he could in their healing process.
Stupid Potter and his bloody saviour complex.

Now here he was...standing in front of him, looking like shit.
Harry's hair was messy and he had really dark circles underneath his eyes.

Still, Harry Potter was beautiful.
Undeniably beautiful.
Not that Draco was going to admit it out loud though.

Draco stared at his bedside table and noticed four empty cups of coffee.

-"You look like shit."- Draco managed to say. Harry snorted.

-"You should take a look at yourself."- Harry used his wand and started performing an enchantment on him.

-"What are you doing?"-

-"I removed the traces of the drug earlier today, but I'm double checking to make sure you don't have anything left."- Harry said in full concentration. A green glow emanated from Draco.

Harry smiled at him.

-"Clean."-

-"Is there anything else you need to do?"- Draco asked.

-"Uh, not at the moment. I don't think. Are you in any pain right now? I can give you some pain medication if you need it."-

Draco needed it of course, but he shook his head.
Painkillers were as addictive as the Trimzodiac X.
That much he knew.

-"You look...tired."- Draco commented, more careful this time. Harry sighed.

-"Not much sleep nowadays. I wanted to be here in case you woke up."-

-"Why?"-

-"Because I needed to perform the exam. I also didn't want you to.."- Harry grunted something that Draco couldn't understand,
-"In any way, I actually still need to ask you a few questions. I can wait if you're not feeling well."- Draco tensed and nodded.

-"Go ahead then. Let's get this over with."-

-"Is someone hurting you physically, Malfoy?"-

Draco froze.

-"I don't know what you're talking about."-

-"Draco.."-

-"No, don't Draco me. You don't know shit. I don't know where you got that idea from Potter, but you better shut your mouth and stop spreading lies."-

Harry raised a brow at Draco’s defensiveness and moved towards him. Taking a seat on the chair beside the bed, he grabbed one of Draco's arm that showed bruises.

-"What is this then?"-

Draco squeezed his eyes shut in frustration. Obviously, since he was unconscious, the glamours faded. How could he have been so careless?

-"Falls on the ice. They happen all the time."-

Harry snorted.
-"Bullshit. I've seen you on the ice. You're flawless."-

-"Falls still happen, Potter."-

-"I'm sure they do, but not so often to bruise you like this. Let me help you."-

Draco stared at Harry's eyes.
Those goddamned emerald eyes.

He was about to speak when the door swung open and Draco saw the familiar face of Healer Edwards. Harry stopped touching Draco but didn't stand up.

-"Hello Draco, good to have you back."-

-"Good Salazar."- Draco muttered,
-"Remove him from my sight."- He pointed at Harry accusingly.

-"But why.."-

-"You know exactly why."-

-"I just tried to.."-

-"Well, I didn't want you to."-

-"Excuse me for trying to do my job and be a dece.."-

-"I didn't ask for.."-

Harry laughed bitterly and Draco hated every moment of it.
-"Course you didn't. You never do, do you?"-

-"What's that supposed to mean?"- Harry stood up abruptly and walked towards the door.

-"I'll leave you in Healer Edwards capable hands then."-

-"But y.."- But Harry had already walked out.

-“Uh…what just happened?”-

~•~

-"He's so…frustrating, 'Mione. I'm just trying to help him."-

-"If someone really is hurting him, then I don't think you're going to get an immediate confession from him, Harry."-

-"But why not?"- Harry asked stubbornly even though the answer was obvious.

-"Honestly mate, since when has Malfoy asked for help?"-

Ron had decided to treat Harry for dinner so they were at a restaurant at muggle London.

Harry shrugged, closed his eyes, and massaged his temples.

-"You're neglecting yourself again."- Ron said with a frown.

-"It's fine."- Harry said nonchalantly.

-"When was the last time you slept or ate?"- Hermione asked. Harry sighed.

-"I don't know, but it's fine. I promise."- Ron and Hermione shared a look but dropped the subject, much to Harry's relief.

-"Anyways, tell me more about this Prime Ministry thing, 'Mione. And how's your Auror training going, Ron?"- His friends lit up immediately as Hermione starting talking, which made Harry happy.

Seeing his friends always left Harry in a good mood.

-"Eat Harry."- Ron interrupted eventually, when noticing that Harry wasn't eating. Harry frowned and looked down on his plate.

-"Oh, yeah. Haha, I guess I forgot."- Harry grabbed his fork, twisted a small amount of pasta and got it into his mouth.

The taste felt foreign to him, but he saw Ron beam, so he ate a little bit more while distracting his friends so that they wouldn't notice that he hadn't even eaten a fourth of his plate until the waiter took it away.

-"Haz?"- Ron called just before Harry left.

-"Yeah?"-

-"Take care of yourself, mate."-

Everyone knew that he had never been exactly good at self-preservation. Still, Harry gave him a cheeky grin.

-"When have I not?"-

~•~

Draco saw him in his dreams.

-"Just a little bit more."- He would say as he bruised Draco's arm to inject him.
-"All done pet."-

Draco woke up sweating and with a rapid heartbeat.
He was alone.
At the hospital.

Safe....at least for now.

Draco regretted a lot of things, and he wasn't going to deny that he was pretty fucking angry about this incident, but being a figure skater would never be one of them.

He loved the ice.
He felt free. Like he could be completely himself.
He loved skating.

But it was not all rainbows and sunshines, specially not with ex-Death Eaters. The abuse started happening quite soon after he entered the team. He wasn't going to complain though; it had taken him a while to manage to get on the team and to an extent, Draco thought he somehow deserved it.
He wasn't happy about it, but he couldn't really complain either. Plus, the drugs did helped him before to give a better and higher performance.
They simply had injected too much to hide it this time.

Harry came at 5 in the morning like the sneaky bastard he was, but somehow looking (mind you, it was dark) more rested and more cheerful than before.

Draco was kinda glad.
Kinda.
Obviously.
It wasn't that he liked Potter or anything, he was just relieved to have a Healer that wouldn't pass out on him.
Obviously.

Harry tried to be as silent as possible.

-"I know you're here, Potter. Might as well do what you need to do."-

In the darkness, Draco distinguished Harry's hand awkwardly going to his nape.

-"Sorry, I just wanted to check your vitals. Did I wake you?"-

-"I was awake."-

-"Oh? Are you not able to sleep? Do you need something to help with that?"-
He could feel Harry frowning and Merlin, Draco was craving for a drug. Anything. He needed it. He could feel himself trembling for the need.

But he was stubborn.
Even with himself.
Which on this particular case, was good.

-"No, it's fine. It's just one of those nights."- Draco sighed as Harry took his vitals.

-"Ah, I understand. Wanna talk about it?"- Draco shook his head, confident enough that Harry would be able to see the blonde hair moving in the darkness.

-"Alright."- Harry conceded,
-"Is there anything I can do right now to make you feel more comfortable? You must be in a lot of pain since you're refusing to take painkillers."-

Draco shook his head again and Harry sighed.

-"We're just trying to help you, Malfoy. Why won't you let us do that?"-

-"Because you don't know what it's like."-

-"Right, 'Perfect Saint Potter' is it?"- Harry shook his head as he did a passable imitation of his patient.

-"What I mean is..you don't know what withdrawal of Trimzodiac X feels like. I'm trying not to relapse."-

Harry stayed quiet for a few minutes.

-"You could've just said so, there's more than one type of painkillers in the magical world, y'know? I can numb you a little bit with my magic. Rate your pain."- Draco thought about it.

-"Solid 8."-

-"Alright then."- a blue spark came from Harry's wand and transferred to Draco's body. Draco felt warm, and bubbly, and at ease, and without pain all at one. He could only hold Harry's gaze for a few seconds before it became too much. Too good.
Draco didn't remember the last time he had felt this good without drugs. He was experiencing so many sensations and nothing at all at the same time.

He squeezed his eyes shut and gulped hard.

-"Oh...that's..that's something."- Draco managed to utter.

-"Better?"- Harry asked. Draco nodded curtly. He knew at this point that Harry could definitely see him with the blue light all over his body.

And Harry could.
He felt so satisfied watching Draco.
Draco looked so at peace.
So beautiful.

Okay, Harry wasn't completely blind.
Draco objectively handsome.
Whoever said otherwise about him was wrong.

Harry wasn't about to admit that out loud though.

~•~

A week after the incident, Draco was finally making progress. He was able to walk and move around, and he wasn't feeling in much pain anymore.

Harry and Edwards worked with him patiently every step of the way. Draco assumed it was because this was Harry's job and he couldn't be rude per se, but it still surprised him how gentle Harry was with him. He had even caught Harry chuckling at his snarks once or twice.
Draco found himself smiling whenever Harry did.

That was a bad thing.
He couldn't.
Not with Harry.
It would be impossible to even think about it.
That's why Draco made a choice that morning: be as much of an asshole to Harry as he could.

-"You did good today! I think if everything keeps going this way, you'll be out sooner than you think."- Harry said with a smile. Draco huffed.

-"I suppose that makes you happy, right? You'll be free the death eater. Yippee!"-

Harry frowned.

-"That's not.."-

-"Hooray! Saint Potter saved the day again."-

-"Would you just l.."-

-"What would I have done without you? Oh, chosen one!"-

-"If you would j.."-

-"I guess you'll be happy now then!"- Draco spat with as much venom as he could muster.
He ignored the slight pain on his chest when Harry went red with rage.
Here it came.

-"How would you know!? Huh!? I'm certainly NOT happy that whoever did this to you is still out there because you refuse to actually talk to me! But fuck yeah, I'm happy. I'm glad that you're actually looking healthy, you stupid arsehole!"-

Draco's eyes widened.

Perhaps he had been too rude.

-"I apologise. You're just doing your job." Draco paused and smirked,
-"Even if you're terrible at it."- He teased.

Harry ran a hand through his hair and shook his head, chuckling.

-"You are unbearable, you know?"-

-"So I've been told."-

Harry inhaled deeply.
-"I'm not supposed to treat my patients like that, even if they are as infuriating as you are. I apologise. I honestly am happy that you're getting out of here soon. You're still not eating though, don't think I haven't noticed. It's my job."-

Draco paled a bit.

-"Trimzodiac X takes away your appetite. I'm not hungry."-

-"You are a skater, right?"- Draco nodded,
-"A skater is an athlete. Athletes need energy. The food you eat turns into energy. Your body needs the nutrients of the food in order to have energy to perform the high-level physical activities that you do every day."- Draco nodded again numbly.

-"Would it be okay if I bring you breakfast today? We can start with a cup of fruit and some yogurt if you like."-

Draco thought about it for a minute.
-"On one condition."- He said at last. Harry gestured him with his hands for Draco to continue,
-"Eat breakfast with me. You run mostly on coffee from what I've seen."-

Harry's eyes widened slightly, but shrugged faking nonchalance.
-"Alright. Is that it?"-

-"I'll eat if you eat, and I'll eat as much as you do."-

Harry didn't give Draco enough credit.
Of course he had noticed Harry's eating habits.

-"Alright."-

And so, Harry ordered breakfast for the both of them.

Harry tried tricking Draco but it was useless.
Draco was sharp and smart. Nothing escaped from his grasp.

-"Remember I'll only eat as much as you do."-

Harry grunted but ate nevertheless. Draco spoke with a gentleness that Harry had never seen in him before. It made it easier for Harry to eat without feeling too overwhelmed by the food.

-"So, how did you ended up in here? I was so sure you'd end up being a teacher."- Draco said.

Harry chewed a strawberry and swallowed it thoughtfully.

-"I don't know, really. I guess after the war, seeing how much help was needed, it just made sense. Did you really see me as a teacher?"-

-"Absolutely. I was actually kinda surprised to see you in this field. I figured if you weren't a teacher, you'd end up an Auror like your.."- Draco stopped himself.

-"Dad."- Harry finished for him and shrugged when Draco nodded,
-"I think you are who you are in the end. Not your parents."-

Harry finished his yogurt and Draco copied him.

-"See? That wasn't so bad now, was it?"- Draco told him.

-"I could say the same to you."- Draco stuck out his tongue at Harry and the latter chuckled.

Draco beamed.
Needless to say, he had failed on his mission terribly.

~•~

As the weeks went by, Harry and Draco became closer. Harry was skeptical at first, but Draco had really changed.

He was still sassy, sarcastic, and overall an asshole.
But he now was the likeable kind of asshole.

The type to snort at Harry's hair, but caress it while Harry ate.

The type to make sarcastic comments about Harry's fatigued appearance, but helping him to sleep during his breaks (which Harry often spent with Draco lately).

The type to subtly scold Harry while trying to take care of him.

Harry sometimes asked himself who was helping who more.
He never had an answer.

He liked spending time with Draco, and Draco started opening up to him.
Baby steps, of course, but steps forward nevertheless.

-"Tomorrow your team will be allowed to see you again. How do you feel about that?"- Harry saw how Draco tensed for a fraction of a second before relaxing.

-"I'd like that. I miss them."-

-"You sure?"- Harry asked. Draco nodded.
-"Veeeeeeery sure?"- Harry got really close to Draco's face and observed his eyes.

They were so close that their noses were touching. Harry could just lean in and kiss Draco's pink lips. But he didn't. He simply stayed there.

Finally, Draco put a hand on Harry's face and pushed him away from him,

-"Stop pestering me, you idiot."- Draco said with no ill intention, a smile on his face, and a faint blush on his cheeks.

Harry laughed awkwardly.

-"Alright, alright. If you say so."-

And as Harry laughed, Draco realised that he was completely and utterly screwed.

His crush on Harry Potter was returning.
And he refused to act on it.

As Harry saw the faint blush on Draco's pale cheeks, Harry realised that he had gotten too involved.

His crush on Draco Malfoy was returning.
He refused to even think about it.

~•~

-"Hey, you."- Harry said from the doorframe of Draco's assigned room. This was, perhaps, the first time Draco had seen Harry on his muggle clothes and not on his Healer robes.

-"Hey."- Draco rasped.

-"I'm off my shift early today, just to let you know. Edwards will be attending you for the rest of the day."- Draco tensed slightly, but Harry didn't notice.

-"Oh? And why's that?"- The blonde arched a brow.

Harry sat beside him on his bed.

-"Ron and Hermione are worried that I'm overworking so they took things into their own hands and here I am."-

-"Well, fucking finally. You deserve to rest." Draco said, running a hand through Harry's hair. Harry leaned towards the gentle touch.

-"I just wanted to make sure you were safe."- Harry said softly.

-"Of course I'm safe, you baboon. You overworked just to make sure that happened. An early leave won't change that."- Draco reassured.

-"You would be safer if you told me who.."-

-"Harry.."-

Draco stopped playing with his hair and Harry stood up with a sigh.

-"I know, I know. I don't know why you're protecting this person, but if you don't tell me, I can't do much about it."- Harry said shrugging.

-"Stop worrying for once and just go out with your friends."-

-"As embarrassing as it may sound, they asked me to go straight home to sleep."- Harry said, covering his face with his hand. Draco laughed.

Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy used to like each other on Hogwarts. Everyone knew it.
Even they did.
All the bickering and fighting eventually led to feelings on both sides. Harry wasn't proud of it, but it was what it was. Draco was really fucking embarrassed about it, but it was what it was.

What neither of them knew, however, was that their feelings were mutual.

And now, years later, they were starting to like each other again.

Harry leaned towards Draco again, leaving an exposed cheek in front of Draco's face.

-"Goodbye kiss?"- Harry teased. Draco scoffed but much to Harry's surprise, Draco gave him a quick and small peck.

-"Off you go now, Potter."-

Yup. They were both screwed.

~•~

Harry did saw the exact moment on which Draco froze. They were joking while eating lunch together on Draco's room when his team came in with the company of Edwards.

-"You're supposed to be eating healthy."- A man said. Harry knew him from the news. He was the team's healer.

-"I.."- Draco stuttered. Harry stood up.

-"He is. His diet was specifically made for him, considering the state on which he was brought in and the fact that he is an athlete."- Harry said calmly, but emphasising his words carefully.

-"Oh, stop it Robards! Draco hi!"- said a beautiful girl with long and golden hair, running towards Draco and hugging him.

-"We have missed you so much."- said a little boy with piercing grey eyes from the door.

-"Oh come here, you little squirrel."- Draco said softly. The boy instantly ran into Draco's arms.

-"You seem so much better now."- gasped the girl, cupping Draco's face with her hands.

-"We're so glad that you're safe. You did gave us quite a fright."- said a woman dressed in between elegantly and sporty.

Harry supposed that she was Draco's trainer.

-"So this is the famous Harry Potter Draco mentions so much. I'm Draco's healer, Robards."- Robards introduced. Harry's heart skipped a beat but didn't dare to stare at Draco.

He could sense something bad, so he just nodded at the healer.

-"Anyways, Healer Potter, since you are aware that Draco's an athlete, you know that there are certain foods that he can't eat."-

-"Of course. That's why I myself designed his diet along with our very capable dietician. If you have any questions about the food balance, you can always ask her."- Harry said squeezing his hand into a tight fist.

-"See? Finally someone cares about it."- The boy pointed at Robards accusingly.

-"Hey! I do care, you brat. I just care for his safety on air as well. He needs to be light as a feather."- Robards said with a certain affection directed towards the boy.

-"A balanced diet for once will do him good."- the girl nodded decidedly.

-"What were you guys doing anyways?"- Edwards asked curiously.

-"Having him eat."- both Harry and Draco said at the same time, pointing at each other. Harry laughed loud and brightly while Draco limited himself to a silent chuckle.

-"You are helping Harry eat? Oh, thank Merlin!"- Edwards said.

-"We're helping each other."- Draco said firmly.

Harry stared at him and smiled.
Draco gave him a tight smile back.

-"We are."- Harry agreed softly and then turned to Draco's team seriously,
-"Which is why I need to speak to Mr. Malfoy alone for a moment if you don't mind."-

Robards huffed.

-"Of course I mind! We came all the way t.."-

-"It'll only be a moment. You'll be back in a few. I just need to ask him some questions."- Harry interrupted curtly.

-"Can't you do it later? You certainly weren't doing it before."- Robards whined.

Harry gave him a stern look.
-"Mr. Malfoy is my patient and I will do whatever is necessary to keep him safe and healthy, which is why I need to ask him these questions now. Alone."- Edwards glanced at Harry and Harry gave him a knowing look.

The team finally nodded.

-"Let me show you where we have been giving Draco his physical therapies."- Edwards said and guided them out.

The boy turned suddenly and approached to Harry. Harry kneeled and the boy hugged him tightly.

-"Keep him safe from them."-

Them?
It wasn't only one person?

The boy quickly let him go and walked out with the rest of his team. As soon as everyone had stepped out, Harry casted silencing charms all around the room.

-"It's him, right?"-

Draco gave him a piercing look.

-"I'm afraid I don't know what you mean, Healer Potter."-

Harry gave him back the same look.

-"Who were the ones that drugged and abused you, Draco?"-

~•~

-"What are you doing here, mate? You rarely come to visit. I know how you feel about the Ministry."-

Harry wasn't exactly best friends with the Ministry.
He didn't hate them, he just didn't like the way they did things.

-"After begging Draco, he finally confessed and the Healer of his team and the Head Healer of OUR team have been working together. Edwards provides the drugs to Robards and Robards gives them to the skaters for a better performance. Can you believe it? Fucking Edwards!"- Harry said enraged.

-“Do you have proof of it?”- Ron asked with a frown.

-“I can get Draco under Veritaserum if necessary to prove it.”

-"Are you sure you want to do this, Haz?"- Ron asked,
-"We might also need some memories from Malfoy, which will be used to testify against these men."-

Harry weighed his options and nodded finally.
It was all for Draco.

-"Alright, let's do this."-

Draco would hate him after this.
But it was for his safety.

~•~

After everything went down, Draco didn't speak to Harry.
He left the hospital without a word and went to court against Robards and Edwards.

It hadn't been easy.
Harry knew.

Eventually, Harry had left St. Mungo's and had looked for a job elsewhere.

Today, he started his first day as the official Healer for the London Figure Skating Team. He was nervous as to how Draco would react.

The elegant and sporty woman (whose name, Harry learned, was Thea) welcomed him with open arms and introduced him to the team.

Thea brought Harry to the ice to watch the team practice.

There he was.
Eyes closed and carefree expression as he twirled.
Draco Malfoy was floating on midair surround by faint blue and silver butterflies.

-"A moment, everyone!"- Thea called.

The butterflies disappeared completely and Draco came down, opening his eyes as soon as his skates had touched the ice. He approached Thea but stopped dead on his tracks upon seeing Harry.

-"From now on, Mr. Potter will be our Healer. Let's give him a nice welcome."- The skaters started clapping for Harry, but Harry could only focus on Draco.

-"Alright then, back to work. I'll show you around Harry. Healers usually stay with us trainers to watch them and make sure they are safe."-

And so Harry did.

~•~

Weeks of training went by and Draco didn't speak to him unless it was absolutely necessary.

And it was hard for Harry.
It was hard for the both of them.

They were currently having lunch before Nationals. Draco was wearing grey pants and an oversized, dark green sweater.
Harry learned that Draco now dressed in more muggle-like clothes. Sorta.

Draco had allowed Harry to seat beside him even though he didn't speak to him. Harry still counted it as a victory.

-"Harry, look at him. He's only poking at his food again."- The boy with grey eyes whose name was Ethereis said. Harry whispered low enough so that only Draco was able to hear him.

-"I'll eat if you eat, and I'll eat as much as you do."-

Slowly (painfully slowly) but surely, Draco grabbed his fork and started eating.
Harry silently copied him.

-"How do you do it?"- Ethereis asked in awe. Harry only winked at him.

-“Alright everyone, let’s get ready. Draco, you’re first on the schedule and since this will be your first performance after your incident, you must give them the best you’ve got.”-

Draco nodded determined.

★彡

The public cheered loudly when they arrived.
Harry noticed just then that all of the team was wearing matching team uniforms.
He was tense, and nervous, and excited.
All at once.

-“How do you see him? Do you think he’ll be able to pull everything off? During practice he seemed…fine, but there was something missing.”- Thea asked Harry once they were on the ice rink.

-“If I know anything about Draco is that he’ll give his everything on the ice. He loves it.”- Harry said firmly.

The lights went off and the public went dead quiet.

Ethereis entered first as he was the youngest. The lights focused on him solely as he spread his arms in form of wings elegantly and actual wings appeared behind him, levitating him through the air. He circled around before floating down unto the ice again and posed on the right side.

The crowd erupted in loud cheers as the lights went off again and focused on Eliza (the blonde girl that had visited Draco at the hospital). Eliza made colourful jewel-like steps appear on air and she stepped on each one elegantly, soaring and spinning around before finally coming down and posing on the left side.

The crowd cheered for her just as loudly as they had done with Ethereis before her. The lights went off again.

Blue and silver patronus-like butterflies appeared everywhere and Draco made his appearance. Everyone cheered the loudest for him as Draco skated through the air, spinning and twirling gracefully.
Finally, he came down as light as a feather and posed right in the middle.

The lights came back on, and focused on all of them.

-“THE SILVER TRIO OF THE LONDON ETHEREAL NATIONAL TEAM EVERYBODY!”- said one of the commentators.

Every clapped and screamed and threw stuffed animals and flowers to the team as the team gracefully skated around and picked everything up.

-“That was impressive.”- Harry said. Harry had been at rehearsals, but he hadn’t actually seen the team performing the tricks. He had only heard Thea instructing them on how to do everything and them trying it out without magic.

The skaters joined them at the rink.

-“You all did spectacular.”- Harry congratulated.

Ethereis and Eliza gave Harry a quick hug.

Draco stared at Harry for the longest time ever.

-“No good luck kiss?”- he said at last with a smirk.

-“I’ll kiss you if you win.”- Harry challenged.

-“And first we have the comeback of the Ice Butterfly Prince in the free skating round. Performing Miserable Man by David Kushner, let’s give it up for Draco Malfoy!”-

The lights went off as Draco entered the rink.

Harry watched butterflies appearing as the music started. He watched Draco perform quads and lutz and a flawlessly done choreography with devoted emotion.
Draco soared and he made something new: he made snowflakes appear from his hands, letting them spread throughout the place along with his butterflies as he span faster and faster, ending the song with a perfect quad and staying in the landing position as he floated down right in the middle of the ice rink.

The place exploded with cheers for Draco and Draco bowed gracefully.

He joined his team and sat beside Harry.

-“You owe me a kiss.”- Draco reminded him.

-“If you win.”- Harry teased even though his heart was hammering loudly inside his chest.

-“When.”- Draco corrected.

Ethereis and Eliza performed just as beautifully, but not quite as perfectly.
The other skaters performed beautifully and emotionally, but in Harry’s humble opinion, no one performed like Draco.

In the end, as expected, Draco won.
The lights dimmed as Draco made his way to the center of the rink. His butterflies and snowflakes appeared and Draco soared back to his team only to pull Harry with him on the air.

Draco grabbed Harry tightly as they floated and butterflies encircled them.

-“I ignored you all this time because I don’t know what I’m doing. I like you Harry, but I don’t want to fuck this up and..”-

Harry pressed his forehead against Draco’s, shutting him up at once.

-“Could you just shut up for one damn second?”-

Stormy grey met emerald green.

-“Make me.”-

So Harry kissed Draco.

All that Draco wanted was a place to feel like home.
Home started feeling like Harry’s arms.
