"Nyx"
A bright soft glow from Olivia's tip of her fingers slowly faded away and the memory that she was projecting into Henrik's mind faded away.
"I know that's why Arthur entrusted the company to you when you were 17 years old." Henrik chokes a small sob as she whispers into his ear. She pulled him tighter against her. "He saw you as his own. As his son and he wanted you to meet Aurora so that you can both look after each other." She rubs onto his back providing warmth in the cold atmosphere. "You don't have to be a Belmont by blood to be a part of this family." She then places a small kiss on the side of his head. "You have always been a part of us, never forget that."
Henrik shudders under her touch as the spreading warmth of love spread through him.
His confidence was slowly growing again.
"You are doing a fantastic job being CEO, so never doubt yourself again," Olivia says sternly that she ended with a happy smile.
As he wipes away his own tears he lets out a chuckle, "So does that mean I get to call you mother? After all, you were in a relationship with Arthur and Marie."
Olivia playfully frowns saying, "No, that is still Ms. Lavigne to you child."
Henrik laughs a genuine smile making its way on his face. The gloomy aura surrounding him was no longer there. Olivia smiles once she hears him laughing and the tension on his shoulder fades away. "That's why you want to be by Aurora's side. Because her parents practically raised you, even if it was from afar. They taught you what love is and you wish to do the same."
Henrik nods.
"I wanted to repay back the favor and honestly she has always been like a little sister to me."
Olivia smiles brightly giving him a soft pat on his shoulder.
"Then it looks like I can trust you if something happens to me."
Henrik's eyes widen in shock when he sees Olivia's glow a bit brighter when she said that, but she made no comment upon seeing a vision.
"Sooo...", she drags on.
"Why did you want to meet up here?" Olivia questions looking out again to the view below them. The cold was coming as winter was finally approaching the atmosphere. Parts of snow could be vaguely seen far back in the forbidden forest and even on the grass of Hogwart's ground.
"The view is nice and there isn't anyone to interrupt us," Henrik leans onto the railing with his forearms.
Olivia inhales deeply and exhales taking a moment to relax. "I'll admit the view really does look nice up here."
Henrik makes a sound of agreement, cracking his fingers before asking, "Did you tell her about the LaRue family yet?"
"Yes," she exhales in a deep sigh, "Although not everything, I just told her exactly what her mother told me in the past." She then glances at him and rolls her eyes, "Oh don't give me that look, I know as much as you do. And it's not a lot."
Henrik shakes his head.
"If only they told us more about their family history....maybe then we could be more helpful to Aurora."
"Well," she shrugs.
"We just have to work with what we have...." Olivia ponders for a moment, debating on whether or not to mention what has been bothering her. 'It's for the best though, I wouldn't have an opportunity to speak to her freely since I am busy with the tournament arrangments.'
"I-", she tests her option one more time before sticking to her guts.
"I am worried about Aurora-"
"What do you mean?" he quickly interrupts his head turning straightly to look at her. Olivia held back a small chuckle sensing the over-protected brother oozing from him.
"I mean that she has been spending too much time in the Vault than socializing and getting to see the sights of this school. It must have been because of that boy, Riddle, that she is behaving this way."
"....Riddle..." he says out loud.
"Where have I heard that name?"
Olivia looks at him in question. "How do you know this boy?"
Then his face shows realization.
"It was just a few days ago, I was talking to Professor McGonagall about the first competition and I felt a presence in the room."
"A presence?"
"Yeah. It was this dark, eerie feeling I had. Like...like someone was watching me in the dark and they were just waiting to pounce...to attack. It's why I ended the conversation quickly with her and once she left I called out to whoever was hiding in the dark. At first...I didn't think anyone will come out, but I guess my hunter's instinct finally kicked in."
"I knew it. I knew from the first vision that 'he' was trouble. Why did it have to be him of all people? I mean..." she sighs frustrated and crosses her arms. "Literally he is well-known by most of the students to be a playboy and to the professors a highly intelligent student. He is at the top of every subject! I sometimes feel like Albus is too old and his senses are failing him to see how much of a threat this boy can be."
"Especially since he muted the bond...again..." Henrik whispers.
"Exactly my point!!!"
He looks toward her seeing the tight grip she had on her arms and looks back to the night sky.
"I'll have a talk with both of them don't worry. Separately though so that neither feels uncomfortable to talk while the other is there."
Olivia sighs in relief and gives him a smirking glance.
"You think you can handle two hormonal teenagers? Especially when they come from powerful lineages..."
Henrik chuckles leaning off from the rails, "Well, it shouldn't be that difficult..." He then nervously looks towards her with a sweat drop, "...Right?"
Olivia laughs amused by his reaction, "Aww you will be fine after all you're a Baudelaire, and sealing spells is your mastery so that you can be prepared beforehand."
She pats his back as she makes her way to the entrance of the tower, but like before...
A vision comes to blind her...
Henrik's voice of worried and concern was blocked out from the loud ringings that pierce her eardrums and made her head feel like it was being hammered down.
Thousands of voices whisper to her, but none she can comprehend because it all sounds like gibberish. But from them, she only manages to get a few words out...
"Raven."
"Darkness."
"Death."
"Angel."
"Key."
Olivia's vocal hurts as her screams echoed loudly throughout the tower of the Astronomy.
"Olivia!! Stay with me!!" Henrik yells to her as she attempts to claw her eyes out, but is prevented from him as he locks his hands with hers.
"I don't wanna look!! I don't want to see it!! Make it stop! Make it stop!! I don't wanna.." Olivia shakes her head as tears pour as she screams again in pain. She shoves her arms back trying to free herself from his tight grip. A red mark symbol glows from slightly above between her eyes and Henrik watches in shock. 'So that must have been the spell Albus put on her to notify him if this happens again.'
Henrik then focuses his attention back on her, who keeps shouting not wanting to see what the spirits are trying to show her.
'I'm sorry Olivia! I really am and I know you are going to hate me for this but... if it can help us protect Aurora then so be it...'
Henrik lets the grip on her hands go and gets a grip on her head. He puts his legs on Olivia's sides and puts his knees on her elbows to hold her still.
'I am so sorry.'
"Olivia!! I need you to stop fighting back!"
"NOO!!"
"Please listen to me!! It only hurt because you keep pushing it back!! I know that Marie's death is a major reason for you reacting this way, but you're only making it worst!!"
Olivia sobs loudly and growls trying to wiggle away from his hold.
"NNOOOOO!!"
Tears splat onto Olivia's cheeks entwining themselves with her tears.
Henrik holds back a sob of his own.
"Putain de merde!" (Fucking Shit!)
He reaches deep into his pocket pulling out a vial with a black powder substance inside. He carefully pours the powder onto his pointer and middle finger carefully as Olivia squirms underneath him. Once he got enough, he traces a symbol of a circle with a 'V'-shape onto the spell Dumbledore put. "Sorry, old man going to nullify your spell for a moment."
Once the shape of the spell was completed, Henrik put his thumb to the tip of his teeth and bites hard onto it.
Blood from his small open wounds dripped down staining Olivia's sleeping gown and he presses his now bleeding thumb down to the center of the symbol he created.
He closes his eyes tightly.
Focusing tentatively on remembering the spells his father beat him to remember.
"Legilimens irritum facere!" Henrik shouts the spell.
And in those few seconds did he feel a binding connection with Olivia's mind. It felt similar to how she showed him his past memory of Arthur and Marie, but at the same time, this was different.
Olivia doesn't have control over her own mind.
She can't push Henrik out easily with the "Occlumens" spell because the spell Henrik used was the full completed version of the spell. It was the original spell that was lost to history a long time ago and Legilimens is just the small, basic version of it.
When Henrik opens his eyes he is surrounded by a temple with Latin markings but when he blinks he is no longer there...
Instead, he is surrounded by countless stars but even though the mix of darkness, he can see that he was inside a castle...
A castle that has a dragon insignia on its red banners...
'Is this....'
Henrik takes a step forward.
"Camelot..." he whispers to himself in awe.
Arthur had told Henrik countless stories when he was young about the lost kingdom that was never found after the death of its late king, the original Arthur. A cold shiver runs down his spine and he quickly turns around seeing a mystic figure standing before him.
"Who are you?"
Then a dark whisper comes from his left ear even when there was no one there behind him.
"So the guardian has arrived..."
Henrik furrows his brows in confusion and with caution, he approaches the figure that was slowly taking form with the help of the glowing stars.
But as every step he took...
Felt like a part of his life form was slipping from his grasp and true to what he felt.
His knees buckled underneath him.
A choking gasp of air he felt as his vision was slowly fading to black, but he blinks repetitively trying to keep his focus on the form that now started to take shape. A teenage girl with black hair and white tips was wearing a black dress with shoulder sleeves flowing freely from the bottom. But the most noticeable physical trait from her was the black angel wings sprouting from her back.
"I'll admit you surprised me, Baudelaire. You weren't lying when you told me you were very smart." The girl sighs as she approaches him and kneels down to his choking form. "Sorry...I can't control it yet, but I will one day I promise."
Black feathers fall around them as she moves her wings around and sneakingly Henrik grabs onto a piece of a feather that landed next to him.
"I need you to do something for me..."
'What?', Henrik asks in his mind not having the energy anymore to move his lips.
His heartbeat was slowly coming to a stop.
His eyes were coming to a close.
But he tries to keep his attention on the girl before him.
"Make sure that Aurora doesn't go searching for Merlin."
'Merlin? Why would she be searching for someone who is dead?'
"It's too early to wake him up, I'll be the one to do it."
'What is your name?'
The girl chuckles and with a warming smile, she places a hand on Henrik's cheek smoothing out his short gasps for air.
"We will see each other again, don't worry and you can yell at me as much as you want when I'm older and find out the truth."
Henrik lets out a small grunt pushing his face away from her hand and the girl sighs again.
"You really are stubborn..."
"Fine! But do know I am erasing your memory on this."
She closes her eyes breathing in slowly sensing that too much of his life force was slipping to her and pushing it back towards him.
His heartbeat was slowly going fast.
From then Henrik slowly opened his eyes seeing a beautiful shade of light blue mixed with silver eyes that glowed brightly like millions of stars in the dark canvas of the night sky. But even then he couldn't exactly make out fully the girl's face. Only her eyes and sees blurry red lips move to say,
"The name is Estella..."
"Estella Caelum"
and in his mind, before he slumbers to sleep he hears...
...But my friends call me "Nyx"...
Then lastly there was darkness waiting for him as his body limps down to sleep.
