Awaken from Slumber
Olivia winces in pain for how sensitive her eyes are. The bright light in the room made it even more difficult to fully open them. She lets out a small groan when attempting to move her arms. The small noise from her caught the attention of the people in the room.
"Olivia!"
Pairs of hands helped her gently sit up, which thankfully allowed her to see who else was in the room with her.
In the room was Trinity, a still sleeping Aurora with Umbra on top of her head, Albus, Alastor, Kingsley, and Henrik who looked like is having a mental breakdown in the corner of the room.
"Oh thank Merlin you're alive." Trinity grasps her hand.
"What happened?", Olivia winced hearing how sore and dry her voice sounded.
Alastor poured a glass of water handing it to her carefully. The cold water felt refreshing and satisfying as it went down her throat. She took a moment, taking another sip and coughing slightly making sure her throat felt better than before.
"You were screaming loudly when you had a vision which led to you having a seizure for a few minutes. The ambulance came to take you and you were doing fine at first but then -" Trinity stutters at the end. The hand holding onto her trembled and that's when Olivia understood where she was heading with the conversation.
She tightens her grip, whispering to her sadly, "I am sorry you had to see me like that."
Sniffing she wipes away her tears, "It's not me you have to apologies."
Confused by what she means, Olivia follows Trinity's gaze, and her eyes widen when she realizes the small sleeping child whose head rested on her lap.
"How long has she been asleep?"
"Since your heart stopped beating. She had a panic attack which activated the soul-bond connection and was injected to sleep."
Olivia's heart sunk as the feeling of dread hits her full force. 'It happened to her because of me. I caused her that much pain.' Her fingers reached out to touch her soft silk white hair from Aurora, running her fingers through the strands of her hair. Aurora still sleeping leaned to her touch, making Olivia smile sweetly.
"Soul-mate bond?" Kingsley asked.
Olivia sighs knowing that this indeed - was going to be a long conversation.
"Aurora has a soulmate."
"Do you know who the other half is?" Alastor whispered.
Everyone tried to speak in a voice low as possible to not awaken Aurora.
"No. Nor have I had the chance to ask what the boy or girl look like, where they are from, and who they are." Olivia explained. "I will ask her one day when the time comes."
"But what if the bond gets worse? I am assuming that Aurora has muted the bonding, it must have caused a negative effect on the other person." Albus questioned her.
His eyes were cold and distant. That's when Olivia realized that he was remembering his time with his ex-soulmate who he had battled and prison.
She looks down making sure Aurora was still asleep.
"I will take care of it when the time comes."
No one speaks afterward.
Everyone just listens to the heart monitor.
Alastor was the first to break the silence.
"So...what was the vision about?"
"It must have been a strong one if it affected you that badly," Kingsley follows afterward concerned.
She closes her eyes to focus trying to remember clearly what the spirits of the past whispered to her.
Moon's light will land upon the raven child,
The key to the future king will slumber for many years
The Dark Ages will come.
The Battle between light and dark will begin.
The balance of power will be tested.
A dance between memories the raven will suffer through
Find the truth she must seek.
To awaken the great dragon lord, she must sacrifice willingly.
The Darkest Hour will fall upon us
Pride between siblings will clash.
Death's kiss she will have to master.
The Wizarding World's fate lies in the raven's hand.
Everyone was shocked.
None of them could comprehend what or who the prophecy was addressed.
Darkness was mentioned twice, something they were all highly concerned about.
They started wondering how they can prepare for it and who may win darkness or light.
Then came the main focus of the conversation the so-called "raven". None of them knew anyone that could fit the description of a raven. The only thing they knew was that the "raven" is a female and somehow they are the key to the final fate of the wizarding world.
Everyone was conversing with each other till Olivia broke the silence, "This prophecy is separated into two."
"Into two?" Trinity glanced away from the conversation.
Olivia nods.
"Well, that makes things more complicated." Albus sighs tiredly.
"How are supposed to find out which two people or one person the prophecies apply to?" Kingsley questioned.
"Look. It's for the best if we have this conversation another time." Alastor who was leaning against the wall steps toward the rest of the group. The rest of them nodded and each said their goodbyes.
Albus leans to give her a kiss on the head, while Alastor decided to be cheeky grabbing her hand and kissing above her knuckles. She rolls her eyes away holding back a smile as he smirked out of the room giving her one last wink.
Trinity stood in the room worried that if she leaves something terrible is going to happen.
"I will be fine, Trinity. You should go home and rest," she smiles encouraging her to leave.
"Are you sure? What if -"
"Trinity. There are doctors and nurses here. I will be fine, I just need to know you're taking care of yourself first okay."
Trinity nods reluctantly telling her a soft goodnight which Olivia said back to her as well watching as she walked away.
There was only one person left in the room besides well Aurora.
Henrik still stood in the corner of the room.
His body was shaking.
The poor young man looked as if he was going to faint any minute.
"Henrik?" Olivia was cautious not knowing what may have caused him to behave this way.
"Are you alright?"
He didn't realize that she was speaking to him. Even when she called out his name three more times. His brown eyes held so much pain and sorrow. His body leaned all its weight on the wall for support and strength. The bottom of his lips shook as he struggled to speak, "T-there i-is s-some-thing I m-must i-inform, you Ms. Lavigne..."
"Oh, and what it is that you wish to inform me."
He looks down to the ground, sniffs, and presses the back of his hand to his mouth to quiet down a whimper.
"It's alright Henrik take your time," she gently says.
Breathing deeply he chokes out what he has been agonizing to say, "It's about Arthur, Miss. Today, " he pauses trying to gain what little strength he had to continue speaking, "I went to pay a visit to him. Since he retired and all." His eyes remained on the floor but Olivia knew he was crying by how hard his shoulder started to tremble. "I knocked at first...I waited for a few minutes....which then turned to hours...no one was going to open the door...so I...I let myself inside....and I..."
Olivia tears up as she listens patiently knowing what he was going to say and decided not to tell him yet because it really looked like Henrik needed to get it out of his chest.
"I found his body," his tone was broken.
"He was kneeling on the floor with a blade on his chest and there was blood everywhere."
Olivia sniffs, wiping away her tears as she nods, "I know Henrik. He told me."
A quick shock covered his face as he questioned, making sure to keep his voice low.
"You spoke to him?"
She nods.
He leans off the wall walking towards her, "How did...is he okay...is he in peace?"
"Yes, he is with Marie and they are both at peace with each other."
He sat down on a chair next to the bed. He pauses for a moment, hesitating to ask, not prepared for the response he would get but the anxiety of not knowing was killing him so he says, "D-did he suffer?"
"No, he did not. His death came swift."
Henrik closes his eyes, places his hands on his face, and releases a shaking breath. "Thank goodness."
Olivia reaches out to him touching his hand and he then opened his eyes, "I am sorry you had to find him that way. I promise that the next time I see him, I will give him a slap to the face for traumatizing you like that." Henrik let out a small chuckle, "Please do but do go a little easy on him."
He stands up from the chair and before he forgot he reaches into the inside pocket of his jacket. From there he pulls out a black envelope which he hands over to Olivia. Confused about what may be inside Olivia grabs it and flips it over to see if there is any writing on the cover to see who it's addressed.
No name.
It wasn't till Henrik then told her that Arthur had left a note to him a few days before this occurred saying that there was something he wanted Henrik to give to Aurora that was in his office should anything happen to him.
"The letter is addressed to her."
Olivia grabs onto the envelope pulling it tightly to her chest.
"I will give it to her, I promise."
He then heads to the door but before he leaves he glances at her with admiration, "You're very strong, Olivia Lavigne. I wish you the best of luck for what's to come in the future."
He then says his goodbyes and leaves the room.
The heartbeat monitor was all that she focused on.
Aurora's soft snores still continued.
Umbra remained asleep, curled close to her owner.
Olivia leans her head back to the cushion of the pillow as she closes her eyes to join her small family in sleeping. The last thought she had before she finally went to sleep was,
'Merlin, if you are out there, please give me enough strength to get Aurora out of this alive.'
