Olivia remembers everything like it was yesterday. The day she first attended Beauxbations Academy of Magic and was amazed at how beautiful it looked. The very first friend she made there, was Marie LaRue, crowned Princess of France in the wizardry world.

How their bond slowly grew more to be best friends and it went even further but it was only one-sided. Her first taste of jealousy, envy, and heartbreak when Arthur came into the picture. They both met him at a school winter gathering between the all-female school and the all-male school.

Watched in the shadows how joyful Marie looked around him. How she pushed away from her feelings and tried to bond with him to please Marie. Then after graduating from school she learns to forget her hate for him and starts realizing that her feelings were going to cross what should be a restricted area.

Months later Olivia will find herself locked up in a restroom during a party clenching onto where her heart is at. Trying to convince herself that the alcohol in her system is responsible for kissing both Arthur and Marie on the dance floor.

That it wasn't because their lips had looked so sweet and delicious that she wanted to have a taste. Ignore the constant knocks and pleas from what she believes will be the last time they will ever be 'friends' or life will be normal again.  She remembers staring at herself in the mirror not needing to turn towards the door knowing who was standing at the entrance. She doesn't say anything as they lock the door. Doesn't say anything as Marie cautiously touches her left arm to turn her around, which she follows obediently.

Not having the energy to fight back and selfishly wanting to feel more of Marie's soft skin on hers as she allows herself to be embraced. She remembers how worried they both were and how confused she felt since she was waiting for the yells and the disgust. Being lesbian, gay, or in love with more than one person wasn't exactly seen as 'normal' and appropriate in the Wizarding World. But instead, they both spoke soft words and asked if she was willing to come home with them to talk.

Oh, how that was the best decision of her life. The pleasure and love exploded among them. The constant reassurance that they love her equally as they love each other. They are nervous but excited for all of them to be in a relationship together. But they should all have known how much sweetness will never last forever. Marie's strict royal family was outraged by the relationship and prevented the idea of there being a marriage.

Since the heiress to the crown could not be in a relationship with more than one person and to add salt to the injuries Marie's parents did not enjoy the idea of their only daughter being with someone of lower class.

Specifically, Olivia Lavigne.

Olivia knew from her long friendship with her how much the family, especially her parents' blessing meant to Marie. So she watches from the couch sitting next to Arthur as Marie argues for the twelfth time with her parents. She doesn't remember her moving her lips or recognizing her voice. The hollowness was all that could be heard as she raised her walls enough to give her plenty of time to leave the LaRue Mansion.

All she could hear as she quickly walked away from her happiness was two voices and footsteps chasing after her. Constantly calling out her name trying to convince her that they can still be together despite what the royal law and wizardry world may say against the 'wedding'. She remembers giving them one last kiss before quickly disappearing the moment they opened their eyes and when they teleported themselves to their home all of her stuff was gone.

Years go by and Olivia finally decides it is safe to come out of hiding as she returns from her long trip from Britain.

"Are you truly prepared for what awaits you on the other side?"

God, why did Dumbledore have to ask her that question right when she was taking a plane back to France? Constantly reassuring herself that 'Yes' she was finally ready to return 'home' to take her place as Headmistress of Beauxbations Academy of Magic. She reaches out to her old friends once she settles in her new place and her appearance spreads like wildfire. Within five minutes there was a tap on her window revealing a navy blue feathered falcon with a note tied to its feet. Recognizing the bird, Olivia hesitates before opening her window allowing the bird to come in.

Feeding it and taking the note attached from his foot, Olivia opens to written parchment. Marie's handwriting. She can recognize her handwriting from anywhere. Marie asks if they can meet up in their favorite cafe. Not wanting to meet them so soon but remembering her conversation with Albus she grabbed her parchment and ink pen, responding that she would be glad to.

How cold and painful everything felt when she saw the engagement and wedding ring on their hands. Olivia remained apathetic as they spoke about the wedding and their lives during the time she was gone. She only spoke vaguely when they asked where she was and how she had been. It wasn't until Marie blurted out that she was pregnant that Olivia's mask almost slipped. She congratulates them both and asks them if they have thought of names which they only had a few on the list. Arthur then quickly asked Olivia if she wished to be their unborn child's godmother.

Silence.

Her heart tugs down her stomach and she slowly feels sick.

But her walls even though cracked remained standing strong.

And with inner strength, she gained thankfully from her time spent in Britain that she responded with a calm voice, "Oui, je serai heureuse d'être leur marraine."   ("Yes I will be glad to be their godmother.") A few more minutes went by and once they were about to leave their separate ways outside of the cafe an incomplete vision swiftly passed through Olivia when she hugged back Marie.

She pushes Marie away, seeing her own glowing purple eyes reflect from the golden iris.

"Ne pas compléter l'obligation de veela"   ("Don't complete the veela bond"), she tells them.

"Pourquoi?"   ("Why?"), they both asked at the same time.

Trembling, she steps back, her eyes returning slowly to a violet shade as she blinks constantly trying to get rid of the vision, not wanting to see its terror anymore. "Olivia. Pourquoi as-tu dit cela?"   ("Olivia. Why did you say that?") Arthur questions her again. Both of them were concerned about what their once lover had seen knowing that many visions she saw were never good.

Words get stuck in her throat.

Everything felt like it was spinning.

"Breath Olivia," she can hear Albus' voice telling her countless times before.

She manages to center herself preventing Arthur and Marie's hands from reaching her as she looks towards them and bluntly tells them.

"Parce que Marie va mourir."   ("Because Marie is going to die.")

Silence covered the trio. Till the exclamation and panic finally rose asking countless questions that Olivia wouldn't be able to answer. Olivia remains quiet and Marie calms the situation down by using her veela side to calm Arthur down to ask if their baby will be born. Olivia stiffly nods in which Marie relaxes on her response and tells Arthur that there is still time.

But of course, once death has touched you, it will not allow you to escape easily.

A few weeks after their group up, Marie and Arthur completed the bond. After the birth of Aurora Belmont, her beloved god-daughter, Olivia received another vision of Marie's fate. She warns them what is going to happen and they thank her until that terrible night when everything changes.

Olivia received news from Arthur suddenly right when he got out of work that Marie and Aurora had gone missing and that someone had broken inside their home. Both quickly searched everywhere till as if fate was taunting her, giving her another vision, giving her the locations.

Olivia had Arthur chase after Aurora while she focused on getting Marie.

Run, dodge, cast a spell, duck, run, cast a bigger spell.

Marie, save Marie, no matter the cost.

Blood poured from her left side, legs, and cuts on her cheek.

But she kept moving forward, casting more spells against the masked kidnappers.

But no spell could stop the killing curse.

Not a spell at the time that was made aware.

Greenlight engulfed the room as she reached out her wand desperately to the wizard who had a tight grip on Marie and was going to kill her. She doesn't hear herself cast the killing curse. Her focus is on the teary smile that is on Marie and on her lips moving.

No words escape her lips.

But Olivia knew deep in her heart what she said.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she managed to catch Marie's body before it touched the floor. She secures one hand behind her head as her other hand removes the hair sticking to the dried blood on Marie's pale skin.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no...

Please no.....

Bring her back.

Bring her back!!

BRING HER BACK TO ME!!!???

A heartbroken scream escapes from Olivia as she tightly hugs Marie's corpse. The rain began to pour but that did little to take away the constant pain in her heart. Hollowness covered Olivia's entire body as she numbly stared at the stars that twinkled down mockingly at her. She puts an arm underneath Marie's legs and another around her as she carefully lifts them together. She walks through the countless dead bodies of wizards and witches. No longer able to feel the pain of her wounds. She teleports them back to the Belmont mansion where Arthur, baby Aurora, and the ministry are waiting.

Once they saw her apparate they made their way quickly to only stop in shock at who they saw limp in her arm. Arthur pushes his way through the crowd and just like everyone froze the sign of defeat overcame him as he grabbed Marie from Olivia and screamed in heartbreak in the rain. Olivia can see that on the neck of his shoulder, the fiery burning red mark of the veela bond turns completely black.

She remains silent till she approaches the Head Minister tells him the location of the dead kidnappers and simply walks away. She approaches the main entrance of the mansion and sees the baby bundle on a pink pram stroller. Aurora was covered in a pink and white blanket that was covered in unicorns. Her white hair with golden tips spread out on the small pillow. She furrows her tiny brows before her eyes flutter open.

Olivia gasps.

An identical golden iris glowed over what was once icy blue, stared straight at her.

With a last final tear that escaped from her, she backed away from the baby carrier, the mansion, and the ministry before they asked her questions, her ex-lover and ex-lover's corpse, and apparated to the first place she could think of.

Her feet give up on her and she falls to the ground.

Gasping as the world started to spin again and her vision slowly went black.

Clawing at her chest wanting to get rid of her aching heart, not wanting to feel anymore until a rough larger hand carefully wrapped its fingers with hers.

A gentle British male voice spoke out to her, "I got you, Olivia. You're safe now. Breathe. Rest, we will speak when you wake up."

Her body gives up on her, blood from her wounds now rapidly spread staining onto the dark stone floor of the Headmaster's Office. Albus looks down at her sympathetically as he nods at Professor McGonagall, who had just entered the room in a hurry, to get the spare room ready which she leaves quickly to do so. He looks down at Olivia wiping the tears away and shushing her whimper of pain as he whispers to her,

"I will pick up the pieces."
