Day 1 Lunch
Aurora was watching the door to the kitchen closely. She had been thinking of other people to bring to the room, and while she had a couple ideas for others, one person had just arrived. Finally the door opened and Draco walked in with a tall, black boy at his side.
No one else seemed to notice their entrance though as Molly was serving up food. “Apparently my little Folletta doesn’t love me anymore Draco,” the boy said.
Ginny whipped around, “BLAISE!” she yelled as she jumped out of her seat and into his arms. He easily caught her, giving her a hug. “You prat,” she said as she let go, giving him a quick kiss.
“Yes, but I am your prat.”
Draco sat down in the open seat between Amice and Aurora. “Thank you,” he said to Aurora.
“You get worse in the books before you get better,” Aurora shrugged. “I figured you could use a friend on your side.”
Draco laughed. “You probably should have brought Theo then. Blaise is never on my side. He says it's to build character to oppose me.”
Ginny led Blaise over to the table and quickly introduced everyone to him, “Everyone, this is Blaise Zabini, a former Slytherin, the same year as Aurora and Draco.”
“Here, read the first nine chapters while we eat, that way you are caught up to us,” Aurora said, banishing the book towards Blaise. He barely caught it before it hit him in the face, and sent a glare at Aurora. “And don’t try reading ahead, I will know.”
While everyone waited for Blaise to catch up, several groups broke off to talk. Kingsley, Amelia and Alastor sat off from the others, where Alastor was telling the others about his theories about the current and future Death Eaters in the room. While Kingsley agreed that Lucius was a marked Death Eater and that Regulus and Severus would probably be marked soon, he wasn’t going to pass judgement on any of them because Aurora had called them here for a reason.
Unfortunately for Dumbledore, he had been accosted by the other Professors. Minerva and Filius were berating the Headmaster for several things, the main one though was bringing a Cerberus into the school. Pomona was more upset about the treatment that Aurora had received as a child than anything. Albus had very obviously gone against James and Lily’s wishes, and in return their child was abused for ten years, and probably more if she had to return there every summer. It is a wonder that she turned out to be so polite and kind-hearted. She could have ended up worse than You-Know-Who with how those muggles treated her.
Meanwhile the future and current parents in the room were getting to know their children a little better. James and Sirius were interrogating Fred about his intentions with their daughter, while Hermione was laughing at the three. Aurora was talking with Lily, Alice and Marlene, and Neville was hovering between his mom and dad. Amice was currently holding her older - baby - brother, and Draco was comforting her while she tried to hold back tears. Amos was getting to know Draco and Lucius, while Columba was talking to Amice, and pretending not to notice the tears in her eyes - which further confirmed her theory that something bad happened to her son in the future.
Ron and Ginny were talking with their parents and Ted, while watching all the children in the room, Ginny had been tasked with making sure that Teddy didn’t change his looks into anything too noticeable, and somehow managed to keep him looking the same as he had the previous night the entire time during lunch. Narcissa and Andromeda were mending the rift between the two, While Luna was sharing some of her stories about her creatures with Xenophilius and Pandora.
Eventually everyone filed back out into the main room to continue reading. A new loveseat had appeared between Draco’s chair - apparently Amice wasn’t ready to fully forgive him for the last chapter yet - and the couch that Neville, Luna, Ginny and Amice were sitting on. Ginny and Blaise cuddled together on the new loveseat, while everyone else took back their spots.
Marlene summoned the book from where Blaise had put it on one of the tables and said, “I will read now.” She cleared her throat and read, “Chapter 10 - Halloween …
