The War Is Over (Adult! Drarry)

It's over. Voldemort is dead. The greatest wizard of all time was Avada Kedavra-ed out of existence, killed by his own spell. Harry just stood there, unbelief on his face. However when it finally sunk in, cheers erupted.

The Malfoys of course avoid the festivities that followed for obvious reasons. Harry's room was constantly being invaded with owls from fanboys and fangirls alike as well as some house elves. Each letter was the same; "How did you defeat Voldemort" and "Are you single?" Mostly he just burned them all, though he did entertain the house elves with a skit of the whole ordeal.

Interviews were offered to him which he turned down. School wasn't too bad. The classes were rather small due to the number of students who died in the Second Wizarding War and the Great Hall always felt empty. It really stung whenever Harry looked up and saw an empty place where someone used to sit. Especially one certain place. Believe it or not he really missed Malfoy. He was so accustomed with just turning a corner and seeing the annoying git that it felt odd without him. Sure he didn't die but he wasn't alive either (if you know what I mean). Yes it was a blessing that he didn't have to hear that stuck up voice and attitude but he missed that same voice...those grey eyes...that hair...his face...his-

Harry shook his head. Snape out of it Harry. Hah, Snape. The new potions teacher wasn't half bad, he guessed...He looked up to check the ingredients and found himself staring at the space in front of him. The place were Malfoy used to stand. He could see him smirking at him now maybe show him a rude gesture. Maybe mouth something just as insulting. Then he'd dare him to a duel and the stupid git would accept. Maybe...

"Harry! Focus! Your potion's boiling over!" A weird smell assaulted his senses. He realized that the suppose to be purple-pink potion had turned a solid black. "Shit! I-I'm sorry Hermione. I really am," he chuckled nervously as his best friend glared at him though her hard look was more disappointed then pissed. The teacher on the other was not so sympathetic. "You'd think that after spending so many years at Hogwarts you'd learn some knowledge! Apparently not," she said venom dripping in her voice. "Mr. Weasley come teach your collogue how to make the Elixir of Broken Minds," she walked off to check on another pair. The redhead walked up to them smiling sheepishly. "Hey." "Hey," Hermione replied flashing him a similar smile. "Hey," Harry muttered ruefully. "Shall we start over?" he asked giving Hermione a knowing glance. "Yes please," the ginger replied letting out a small laugh. Harry smiled at her laugh. At least she wasn't mad at him anymore.

(yes that is a made up potion. y'all can make up the ingredients and comment them below. I'll check 'em out)

Thankfully they were able to pass with flying-ish colors. He, Hermione and Ron had just left the classroom when a voice halted them. "My, my, Potter. Despite me disappearing for six months you still haven't fixed that hair." Harry looked in the direction of the voice and saw the blond, grey eyed Slytherin leaning against a pillar in the hall. He had to blink to make sure that he wasn't seeing things. But no, Malfoy was right there. "Malfoy?" they all said in unison. He grimaced at the use of his family's name. "If you're gonna say 'Malfoy' try to show some respect-oof!" he had started to say but was interrupted by Harry tackling him in a hug. The aristocrat was stunned unsure on what to do. So he decided to slowly hug back.

Harry hid his face in the crook of Draco's neck. Tears were brimming in his eyes and though he tried, he couldn't stop them from escaping. His sobs shook his body and despite attempting to muffle them they came out sounding louder instead. The smaller male felt embarrassed by the Boy Who Lived sudden display of emotion. He tried to push him off but he just held him tighter. "Don't go...please...?" he whispered though it was muffled. "What?" the blond asked. "Don't go yet," he sniffed before pulling away. Draco's hand instinctively went to his neck to see if the Gryffindor had left any snot on him. Luckily he didn't. "Why not?" he asked a quizzical look on his features. "It's been a while. I've..." he looked down like as if what he was about to say was taboo. "You've what?" he asked ruefully. "I've missed you," he said without making eye contact.

The heir to the Malfoy fortune just stared at the raven haired boy, disbelief on his face. The Boy Who Lived missed him? The one who's made his life a living hell? Missed him?!? He thought Pans was kidding when she told him that the Golden Boy had been a little low since WWII, but apparently she wasn't. "You've missed me?" he said out loud. Harry finally looked at him. "Yeah I did. Something happen to your hearing?" he smirked at the last statement. "Oh I can hear quite well. Did you hit your head or something? Pretty much sure that I'd heard either you or the Weasel say that your lives would be better if I left." He paused then met Harry's green eyes. "How bad did you miss me?" The Gryffindor stepped closer to him. "Enough that I was literally going mad," he whispered before closing the gap between their lips.

Draco gasped when he felt those soft lips press against his. He moaned when Harry ran his tongue over his lower lip asking for entrance. He parted his lips so that the wizard could explore his mouth. "Mmm, Harry~" he moaned as their tongues met performing a dance only they knew. Unfortunately Harry won pinning his tongue. He pulled away Draco instinctively leaning in for more. "What about you?" he asked breathless. The blond thought for a second. "I missed you too..." They stared at each other until they were interrupted. "Uh wow. What a performance. We'll get lost so you two can sort things out. Come on 'Mione," Ron said suddenly. He pulled Hermione away who let out a small 'meep'.

The spectacled boy watched his friends basically escape before turning to Draco and chuckling. "Guess we're alone now." he pulled him closer. "The war's over Malfoy as well as our rivalry." His smirk had a mysterious energy which made Draco shiver. Something told him he that he was going to enjoy this.
