You’re stronger Hadrian, You’re stronger than you realize. Don’t let them fool you dear. You are our la-
“Are you paying attention Harry?” A soft spoken voice inquired.
“Of course My Lady…”
Harry continued to rapidly write down every word she said.
The sun lowered over the forest, glaring deeply into his emerald eyes. He kept glancing at his imperial majesty as she paced back and forth on the stones in the grass.
“Harry-”
“You’re majesty” He replied abruptly, letting go of his quill and dropping it at his feet.
She glowered at him suspiciously. “You seem nervous, little one. Anything you wish to tell me?”
Harry pushed his long fringe out of his eyes. Nervously rubbing the bottom of his sleeve against his pockets. He kept his eyes on the ground respectfully in submission.
“My lady-”
“I’ve told you many times I no longer bear that title. Look at me when you talk.”
“Forgive my insolence, Thana.” He licked his lip anxiously. “I’m just confused as to why we are training today. What exactly brings you here?”
“A continuum of terrible choices.” She chuckled.
“You’d be surprised how often people say that to me.” Harry sighed, shifting his feet nimbly.
Thana cupped his cheeks gently. “Some things are crystal clear darling. The imperial army will be approaching soon, they are seeking out the one who has stolen the shade cloak. Apparently the guard was awfully injured protecting it.”
“The God’s work in mysterious ways.” He murmured.
“His leg was snapped from his pelvis.”
“Oh, that part was me.” Harry pondered.
“Part? You weren’t alone in your thievery?”
“Huh? I was the only living person there, Thana. I haven’t the slightest clue who hurt him.”
Snap!
Harry and Thana’s attention turned immediately to the small child gaping at them.
“Get him,” She commanded Harry.
The boy’s eyes widened; taking off, as Harry sprinted towards him.
Harry chased him down to the edge of the forest, holding the boy against the tree.
“Please!” The boy begged. “I didn’t hear or see anything, I swear, I won’t say a word!”
Harry took in a deep breath of air, his magic forming gold cracked lines throughout his body, swarming towards his lips. He blew a puff of gold smoke in the young boy’s face, his eyes turning gold. “Sleep”
Harry lifted him into his arms, as the boy’s eyes rolled back.
Bells chimed in Harry’s head. He was aware of what Thana would require of him, but he didn’t want the boy to witness and bear his Lady’s shortcomings. He knew of Thana’s demands and expectations, how she takes people who have seen her and uses them. He is one of them…
“Harry!” Her voice shouted through the wind.
Harry knew he had to move quickly.
He threw the child over his shoulder, and bolted out of the forest and into Hogsmeade. He himself would deal with Thana’s punishment, he didn't mind at all. After all, Harry isn't a child, he’s been dealing with this since his first life as Harry Potter.
