Today was the day. It was finally October 4th, the day things got serious. The day I get my letter from my father confirming the exact day I leave. The family owl came flying into the great hall at exactly 8:30 to give me the letter I'd been waiting for. "Well, here it is," I muttered as I grabbed the letter from the bird.
"Dearest Flower,
I will be taking you out of school on October 26th. I know that's a bit more than 4 days, but I figured you would enjoy seeing your mother a little longer. Do make sure that you are adequately packed by the time I pick you up.
I know October is a hard month for you, but please stay out of trouble. Also remember that if you ever want to meet your half-brother I would be more than happy to persuade Dumbledore to arrange it. I love you Luci.
Love Dad,"
I smiled sadly and put the letter in my pocket. "Is that it?" Blair queried sitting next to me. "October 26th," I answered. "You leave on the 26th?" Cyrus asked. "After what happened in 2nd year I don't think he wants me here the week of Halloween," I said. "Last time?" Cyrus asked. "The Weasley thing," I answered. Blair nodded thoughtfully as she read the rest of the letter.
"Maybe you should take him up on his offer," Blair suggested, motioning to the part about me meeting Harry. "No," I said. "Why not, it'd make you feel better," she said. "Yes because having a brother who thinks I'm completely evil is definitely going to make me feel better," I said sarcastically. "He wouldn't if he met you," Cyrus said. I shook my head. I'd always be Draco's older sister, Marcus Flint's girlfriend. To Harry I would always be evil.

"Don't talk to her Harry, she's bad news," I heard as I walked past the trio in the library. "Yeah, her mother was a death eater, I heard that's how she died," Harry said. I pretended to skim through a book as I listened to their conversation.
"I heard her mum was the one who sold out your parents, lead you-know-who straight to them," the other boy said. "Ron, you can't just say things like that! That's a huge assumption and it might not even be true," A girl admonished. "It probably is, her mum was the worst of the worst, it's a good thing she's dead," he said.
That was the last thing that happened before I sent him flying into the wall and revealed myself. "Watch your mouth next time you talk about my mother you bitch," I said. "Maybe you wouldn't have heard if you had minded your own business," the Weasley sassed. I glared at him. How dare he!
"You would think your loud mouth mother would've taught you some respect, guess I'll have to do it for her," I said using a curse on him. The curse was a rapid hair growth and it was timed to grow for 2 days. Cutting it off would make it grow faster and longer.
I only stayed a few minutes longer to tease him and jinx him against saying anything, but by then the hair was poking out of his robes. I knew by dinner he would quite literally be just a ball of bright red hair. I for one was more than excited to see the result of my latest prank. It's not like he didn't deserve it. He had no right to talk about my Mum that way.

By breakfast the next day the news of Ron Weasley had spread everywhere. Everyone was talking about it. "I heard an owl made a nest his hair," a 5th year Hufflepuff said as I passed his table. "Well I heard it happened in a potions accident," a Ravenclaw said. "I heard it's permanent," a first year Hufflepuff said. "Impossible," a Gryffindor exclaimed. I rolled my eyes. I wish it was permanent.
"Miss Evans, can I see you in my office?" Dumbledore said before I could make it to the Slytherin table. Rolling my eyes, I followed him to his office. "Is something wrong Headmaster?" I asked innocently.
I noticed Ron and what looked like his mother were also in his office. "Don't act innocent, you cursed my son!" She yelled getting spit all in my face. I disgustedly wiped the spittle from my face before glaring at her. "You know you spit when you talk," I said. She gasped as if she was deeply offended. I rolled my eyes and took a seat.
"Lucia this is the 3rd time it's happened, do I have to go through this every year?" Dumbledore asked. "Maybe you wouldn't have to if people stopped being annoying," I said. "You can't curse everyone who annoys you," he said, "One more time and you're suspended.”
"He called my mum a death eater, you know Mum wasn't a death eater!" I yelled. "He didn't mean it like that," Dumbledore said. "HOW ELSE COULD HE HAVE POSSIBLY MEANT IT?!" I asked. "You can't keep hexing people," Dumbledore said. "I can if they bring up my Mum," I countered. "I said nothing that wasn't true!" Ron yelled.
"Actually you said a lot of things that weren't true," I said. "Your Mum was a bloody death eater, just like you!" He said coughing up hair. "Mum wasn't a death eater, don't you ever talk about her like that again," I said sending an icy glare his way. "She was, she was scum, I'm glad she died!" Ron yelled. "Eat slugs Ron Weasley!" I yelled as I stormed out of the office.
I could already feel the tears on my cheeks as the door slammed. How is it that he attacks my mother yet I'm the one who gets in trouble? The worst part was that if the roles were reversed I still would've been in trouble. Even though Dumbledore knew my Mum was the farthest thing from a death eater he didn't care. I'm the Slytherin and Ron's the Gryffindor.
"He didn't mean it like that," I mocked. HOW ELSE COULD HE HAVE POSSIBLY MEANT IT?! But it'd never change. Like it or not I'm Slytherin and he's Gryffindor, and Gryffindor could do no wrong.
